This devotional book, is more than what you think, its a tool that will help you organize your entire life. If you apply the principles and dedicate yourself to the process you will change the way you live, and serve God. This book helps us to totally give ourselves to God in every practical and spiritual way, which is what God deserves. I am grateful for the Holy Spirit inspiring Donna to write this book!

I have the paperback version of this book and read it several years ago. I got so much out of it that I wanted to get it for my iPad and read it again. The information that Donna gives us is so practical for everyday living. The notebook that she refers to is a little outdated now with our technology but the principles are very good - just adapt them to whatever method you choose to use. This book has probably helped me more than any other book that I have read to live a "proverbs 31" woman's life. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to improve their life.

This book is a good framework for getting ahold of your day and your progress in many disciplines, however, it is a little too restrictive in requiring some things that are not necessary. If you can feel comfortable with setting your own boundaries, this is the book for you. Wonderfully inspiring story at the beginning.

I hesitate to give something a bad review knowing the author put a great deal of themselves into writing a book, but I was concerned that a women, not grounded in the Word might read this and find themselves confusing the authors view of a what a woman should be for God's (as the title suggests).
I bought this book on an the store suggestion having never heard of the author. I began the book with the desire to become more consistent in quiet times and with the hope that the practical side of the book would help me juggle home and work as I am new to the world of working mothers. Knowing the Proverbs 31 woman was a working mom I also hoped it would eliminate some of my mommy guilt for have taken a job despite my desires to be a stay at home mom.
The guided prayers seemed dead on to me throughout the book. My concern was with the practical tips. The first few chapters began with requests to purchase a number of expensive items such as a new mattress, a rebounder (trampoline), quality walking shoes, and all sorts of new foods. It is only later in the book that the author talks about wise spending. While I understand the order of the chapter (systematically working through Proverbs 31) there was no thought of being wise on spending early on. The author tried to provide thoughtful advice to assist women in making her points practical, however I found them to assume that everyone has the same life. Morning devotions are more Godly, as is the morning exercise time, and the family breakfast together. (While she says you should find a meal time that works, after that time her checklist to see if you are doing what you should always refer to the family breakfast.) As a teacher I leave the house before my kids are typically awake, and getting up early for devotions was a big deal for me. Had I added in an hour walk as well I would have been getting out of bed at 4:45. In order to get the 7 hours of sleep she recommends I would be going to bed with my kids. I didn't want to throw the baby out with the bath water so I looked for useful things and discarded the ridiculous while adjusting the ideas that had some potential. I finished the book partly to see what other crazy things she would say. My friends eagerly waited for me to share the next insane thing she had to say and we referred to is as a train-wreck. You just couldn't look away. I wondered how many kick-backs she was getting for the products she recommends. I found her views on hospitality very limiting. I found her vegetable fast insane. A gospel that is not true everywhere is not true. This is an Americanized gospel, that only applies to a specific kind of women in a specific set of circumstances. From this devotion I took away a number of useful tips, but much of what I took away was that my Godliness is not dependent on my weight or the color clothes I have in my wardrobe. It is not dependent on my back account of the cleanliness of my home. While moving towards improvement in all those areas, my Godliness is based on the condition of my heart. I am certain the author would agree with that statement. We just disagree on what the heart looks like when lived out in the practical sense.

When I bought this book at our local drugstore, I was concerned that I spent too much money. (I like to buy my books used for a few bucks.) Shortly after I started reading the book, I realized it was worth what I spent.

Donna gives you solutions for your 'whole' life, every area within your life, in between the covers of this one book.

I highly recommend this book to you if you are needing to:
-lose weight or get healthier;
-manage that obnoxious to-do list that keeps growing;
-get closer to the Lord, or even just start reading that Bible of yours;
-evaluate your spending and retirement;
and so much more.

See the Table of Contents inside the book here at the store for a complete list of all the areas she'll cover with you as your read this book!

Happy reading!

This devotional is the first devotional that I have done that I looked forward to everyday - I did not miss ONE day of the 90 days; nor did I skip any of the challenges found within. Some were very challenging, such as a vegetable and water cleanse that was "sprung", but so rewarding! (I tweaked my cleanse to include some yogurt, cheese, and nuts due to health issues.) I told all my friends about it, and they watched in amazement as I became more organized, more in the Word, and lost 15 pounds! I plan to re-read it - I have only reused a devotional once in 25 years! - it is a great resource for today's Christian woman, who is desiring to be a helper to her husband and family, or if single, to be and do the most she can for the Lord's will and work. My daughter is 19 and I bought her a book - she loved it and grew much. She, too, is going through it again.
I really enjoyed the piece by piece disection of Proverbs 31 - I have been intimidated by that chapter for years; still am, but now I do endeavor to continue to grow and become more like the ultimate Godly woman.

I started this 90 day Jumpstart January 2009. This year I have a group of 5 friends that are reading the book, because I was amazed of the impact it made in my life and recommended it to them because they, too were fed up with being average, not very commited in their walk with God. It's only been 8 days and I am already receiving input on what the Lord is doing in their lives. We will be getting together every week and go over each lesson using the Guide available at Donna's website (which is a downloadable book). It is really exciting to be doing it again, myself, reviewing what I learned and getting to do what I didn't get a chance to do last year. If you need to cultivate good Christian habits and discipline, enjoy friendship with other Christian woman and be held accountable: THIS IS THE BOOK!

The book is excellent. I have not found another like it that details as much as Donna Partow has. As a single mom, the book has been most useful to me especially after loosing my job and providing practical ways to become `I Thes 4:12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody'. The book addresses so many areas that are often neglected (godly habits, healthy eating, 80\20 rule, financial planning, personal appearance) to name a few. She does not just lecture on these topics but offer ways to attack them, provides outside resources as well and in short the book is very practical and offers ways to integrate the principles shared.
It's a gem as her previous books. I have already referred to many other women.
After reading the book, you will be well on your way to becoming the woman God created you to be.
