This is exciting and disturbing. Reading about child predators is unpleasant though seeing how they can be tracked and caught is certainly satisfying. Lucy is an unusual character, one well worth following.

Unfortunately the author did not create a very likeable character. Lucy is at times extremely annoying and I don't care for female characters being on the dumb side. This book should have been cut in half by taking out long winded background info that was not needed. Just not very impressed overall.

Definitely a good read. I like different and this certainly is. From page One it makes you examine your conscience and the question of is the ultimate good really all that counts? I love that the author doesn't make this a complete fairytale
it's real in examining where the right and wrong is and whether the right end should be condoned by the wrong action.
I would recommend this one

I really enjoyed All Good Deeds. Lucy is doing what she feels is necessary and bears a tremendous burden for it. The story is very fast paced and kept me turning page after page looking for the conclusion. And when looking at people who sexually abuse children, it is really hard to find fault in Lucy! Thanks for a great read and I look forward to Lucy's next adventure! -Clif

The Story revolves around a vigilante killer of child molesters. Lucy carries around guilt for not being able to save her sister from sexual abuse and sees her killing s as "taking out the trash". A solid storyline with some interesting plot twists.

This was a very gripping story about evil and justification. The conflict of justified murder and the reasons why were a constant battle for Lucy....who won? Can any murder ever be justified? Great read!

I loved this book! Something about doing what's right even if it's done wrong is great. It's so true that so much bad happens and most times waiting around for everything to be done correctly just isn't good enough. Sometimes you just have to take the bull by the horns and save that child. I don't care why they do, who they are, if they hurt a child like this, their time is up.

Deep, dark, disturbing, and frighteningly well written, “All Good Deeds” reveals one of the most depraved sides of our painted over culture with compassion and character development rarely seen in who-dunnit literature.

I read this book for advanced review and was requested to give my honest review. I can honestly say that I was on the edge of my seat from the first page until the book's end. It was an excellent thrill ride, very well written with unique and nicely drawn characters. I let the book sit in my thoughts for a time before writing the review, just to see if the book stayed with me and was as vivid in my memory as being such a good book. Yep, it stayed, and I still think it's as good as the minute I reluctantly finished it.
The protagonist, Lucy Kendal, is a unique creation. She's sympathetic and oh-so likeable, but she has a darkness to her that amps up the tension of this thriller. Justice is served, but Lucy pays a terrible price making sure the children are protected. She's a tormented hero, and the challenge in front of her is complex. In some thrillers it can feel as if the poor protagonist is getting clobbered at every turn because that's the best the author can come up with to keep the action going. Not here. Every single time I thought I had it figured out. there was another twist that seems logical, and we were off in a new direction with new threats and tension. It was great.
On to the next book in this series, which can't come soon enough for my tastes. I'm going to add that Stacey Green and I aren't best pals, nor has she ever read one of my books and reviewed it. I don't owe her anything except gratitude for not wasting my time or starting a series that ends at an open door with one foot dangling on the edge of the cliff. This is a stand alone book, but I can guarantee you'll want more of Lucy Kendal and the satisfying plots that come from this reader's imagination.

Intense, dark read with an intense, dark heroine. The plot is exceptional with multiple twists that keep you guessing until the final - and shocking - twist. Have already downloaded Lucy Kendall #2. Starting as soon as I finish this review.

Green's vigilante Lucy Kendall acts on the thoughts most of share about child abusers. The story is clever and scary with a plot twist I didn't see coming. The book is a guilty pleasure for readers who find themselves cheering Kendall's actions as well as worrying about her psyche.

This was a totally different and unexpected psychological thriller. I liked the way the author had the character's inner thoughts warring with her conscience about the right or wrong of what she was doing. The emotions the main character (Lucy) experienced are what you would believe a vigilante would have, creating sympathy and some understanding. Very well written.

I liked the premise behind this book...a serial killer as the “good” guy. Not a bad effort, and, since it is #1 in a series, I am hoping the author will refine the characters and her plot development as the series continues. Specifically, my biggest issue was that there were a few too many coincidences among the characters’ relationships for me....Philly is a VERY large city after all. And, on a minor note, perhaps a little more local research if you are basing any significant part of the story in specific locale. I have lived in Lancaster County most of my life...we have State Stores in PA where alcohol is sold (you can’t get wine in a convenience store)...never heard anyone call it an Amish carriage (they are buggies)...it is disrespectful to take photos of the Amish and they certainly wouldn’t wave if they saw you doing it (“graven images” are against their religion)...PA has over 2,000 municipalities below the county level so the Lancaster PD doesn’t exist (Lancaster City has a PD but they would only handle crimes in the city and not in a rural area)...no big deal but distracting for someone living in Lancaster County. All-in-all I liked the idea behind the book and I’m willing to read the next one in the series.

Vigilante @ work. Read it. Who abducted the 9 year old girl? Plenty of suspects. Plenty of 'persons of interest'. This is one of the best written, best developed plots I've read in a good while. I won't tell who abducted the girl and I won't tell you why the vigilante was working....just read the book.

Action packed story from the beginning to the end. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the story development because it kept me guessing and interested about whodunit. I felt the characters were relatable and believable; no one was over the top just your everyday people with unique character traits. Looking forward to seeing what will happen next.

Maybe I missed some sleep, but this book just would not let me close my eyes. Great and poignant story line. One that, perhaps, some people could relate to. Characters were well-developed and consistent. Really enjoyed this book.

The story is cleverly constructed. Characters are well developed. It is a shocking story that keeps reader absorbed. Only if the social topic does not offend some people. But the world is what it is regardless if we agree or not.

Excellent read. Addressing a problem thats happening all over our country, but not always coming to light.
We hear about it, read about it, but never think it could be our child, or grandchild enduring this horror.

This book deserved five stars because it was full of suspense and the characters were believable and interesting. The plot was carefully revealed and the story was heartwarming because the author really understood what sexual abuse does to children.

Lots of drama with unexpected twists and turns. Everything from the macabre to the melancholy from absolute good to horrific evil wrapped in one character. Lots of duality made to seem perfectly balanced.

I absolutely love this book and also Stacy Green as an author. I love the way she tells her stories and the characters she comes up with. Lucy Kendall is one of my favorite characters and I love the premise of her being a serial killer but not the type of serial killer you normally think about. This book had my attention from the second I started reading until the very end. I was thrilled that this was a standalone book with NO CLIFFHANGER! It was also edited properly and written beautifully. I can't wait to continue reading books by Stacy Green and I highly recommend you give her books a chance as well.

All kinds of twists and turns. I loved this book. I would have anyone who likes psychological thrillers read it. I have thought about doing the work the heroine does having been a victim more than once but would not act on it.

This is a very thought provoking book with many twists and turns. It addresses the need for justice that is often slow and ineffective. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes plots with many possible outcomes.

Wow! My first Stacy Green book. I already bought the next one. A mystery so full of twists and turns. The ending was so unexpected. I hate stories where I can figure out the ending before I get to it. Not the case here. Awesome read!

This book was recommended to me, courtesy of BookBub based on my taste with Gillian Flynn, author of "Gone Girl". I'm happy to report that this novel was equally suspenseful and I thoroughly enjoy the premise. I definitely will continue on wit the series. Green is an excellent story teller.

This book grabbed me from the first page and never let go! Every once in a while, a protagonist with a dark side comes along that you have to love AND root for. Now I have to get all books in the series! Thank you, Stacy!

How many different ways can a person discuss the definition of a sociapath? Read this book if you want to be voted to death...
The premise of a vigilante killing pedophiles was very interesting, but this author took the wrong path by discussing sociopaths ad nauseum

This was entertaining. I like Lucy but felt like she just got stuck on some thoughts and it was annoying that she would not let them go. Obviously she eventually did. I'm going to get the second book, I think this will develop into a good series.

Good story. Lucy has a noble cause killing child molesters and those undesirables who the law didn't punish as she believes should have been. When she meets Chris he adds another dimension to her work but I believe the author should have used him as he is first portrayed (missed opportunity for a one of a kind story). I purchased the next book to continue her investigating and her own brand of justice.

As a Christian I believe "thou shall not murder" is pretty clear cut. But I can see why Lucy does what she does. She thinks she's got it all figured out in the beginning, but then the story unfolds layer by layer making her (and the reader) question why is "known".

Very captivating. Just when I thought I solved the case, the story took a turn. Lucy lives by her own rules and doesn't let any one hold her back. Her one track mind makes it impossible for her to forget the past so she has a dark side that she uses for what she believes is best for victims. I'll be reading the entire series.

Very different story, packed with and twist, different from most as the woman is bad and good at the same time. Do not want to give away too much. But a strange ending,so you are left with too many questions, maybe they will be explained in the next book. I hope so .
