Having read almost all of Joseph Flynn's books, I can honestly say I appreciate his talent. This book, however, was a disappointment. It wasn't the Presidential setting, again, nor the tangle of sub plots. He eventually unravelled those nicely towards the end. No, this book had a biased that his other Jim McGill books may have had, but never smacked one in the face non stop, page after page. I'm not a Liberal. Being lectured throughout the book on how wonderful Liberals were and how Conservatives are at the root of all evil took away from what could have been a good book.
This is the last Jim McGill Novel I'll read. Being Native American, I may still give another Tall Wolf book a try. But I do wish Mr. Flynn would get back to writing other types of books. Other characters. Such as his book "Round Robin", loved that book!

The latest installment in the McGill series does not disappoint. Great characters as always, and an interesting plot. Not as many unpredictable plot twists as some of the earlier books, but still entertaining. I enjoy all of Flynn's books, in particular his intertwined McGill/Tall Wolf/Ketchum series. I look forward to the next installment from any of them, but in particular the McGill series.

The Jim McGill series story line involves interesting characters and even more interesting ideas about politics in the U. S. Following the murder of her wealthy husband, Patti Grant, a former actress, model and current Congresswoman, decides to run for President. She marries the police chief who solves her husband's murder, JIm McGill. The series covers the dilemma of a First Gentleman ... Who also is a private investigator!
Great stories, good characters, intriguing investigations!

Joseph Flynn provides political insight of the American government while offering multiple entertaining scenarios . Jim McGill leads the cast of characters, many appearing in their own series. All his books offer a great read!

Flynn always leaves you hanging at the end of each novel. You just have to start the next one to see what happens. Jim McGill is such a likable hero who consistently outside the bad guys. Always a fun read.

Enough of the political bias which is so blatant in the last few books! The political commentary is over the top and after seven of the books I’ve had enough. If he decides to write fiction without the propaganda again I will buy more of his books!

This is one of my favorite series: suspenseful, funny, lots of twists and turns. I find myself always checking to see if the author has another book out. I'm hoping he's working on another one on this series. Can't wait to read it.

Another great novel by Joseph Flynn! He not only includes all of the great characters from the Jim McGill series but adds one of my favorite of his other characters, John Tall Wolf and some other characters from the Roy Ketchum series. With all of the various players there are a lot of parts to this story and I finished it over 2 days. I have read the Jim McGill, John Tall Wolf, and Roy Ketchum series as well as some of the author's earlier work and always keep an eye out for his new releases.

One of the most frustrating books I have tried to read. To many characters, to many plots and changes every two or three pages. Your mind starts to wander and you lose interest very easily. I gave it 3 stars but almost went down to 2. Very disappointing.

I enjoyed this book as much as the others, especially as it fits my political leanings. Well written, fun, and fast paced. I knocked one star off because things were just a bit too pat, too easy for the good guys. But with that said, I'd def recommend it for a summer book.

The humor and wit along with his tremendous knowledge interlaced through Joseph Flynns writings have caused this group of characters to blend into a loving, caring cast that brings you back for more. Enjoy

Not sure how long he can keep developing these plots, but this was my favorite McGill. If you have not read any of the McGill series, start with the first an d keep going until you have read them all. Good storyline.

Joseph Flynn spins, crafts and delivers his storytelling in a consistently exciting manner each and every time! I've become quite a devoted fan through the Jim McGill series and plan to explore his storytelling even further when I'm done with this series.
