Up until the O'Dwyer trilogy, I read everything Nora Roberts wrote. That particular series I just didn't like. This book is like Nora at her best with a little mystery, a lot of good characters, terrific.

Unfortunately I did not read the reviews which are very necessary with this author. Thought it was a new book I had not read. After the first chapter virtualized I was reading one of her early works. And not the best. Too many cigarettes and not a great plot. I will never buy another Nora Roberts book without checking reviews first. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

This series was my first exposure to Nora Roberts, I have to admit I never gave her books a second look, why would I read a trashy romance novel. Well I found I had been painting her with a very prejudiced brush, what a mistake! This is a great fantasy series, and the romance there is is very fun and not over the top. I will definitely look for more fantasy books from Ms. Roberts.

Some good characters but forced intrigue, meaning the setting just doesn't lend itself to the violence aspect and neither does the heroine. Really liked the lead male character though, more development there. Overall pretty typical Nora Roberts fare.

I am partial to the stories that center around law enforcement. I love the FBI series and now I have a new story to love. Beautifully written love story with the happy ending I always hope for. Absolutely love the characters and hope to see more of them! Excellent read.

Well worth reading. A bit formulaic but a good read. As always her pacing is tight. While the characters are much thinner than her later offerings they are still folks you can root for. The passion, as always, is written without trite cliches.

The characters had developed from the first volume and become stronger
Their interaction strengthened the whole unit they had become. The fantasy is addictive to all who love stories where good is challenged by evil.

Nora Roberts always find a way to ensure you never give up on the written word. It has been sometime since I just say down and enjoyed the day with a great book. NORA ROBERTS allowed me to realize what I had been missing. Thank you for a great day with a great book.

I really like Nora Roberts' novels but this wasn't one of her very best. It was a descent story but quite predictable and very slow in getting started. Having said that, I will continue to ready absolutely everything she writes because she is a great story teller!

This book was so formulaic, you could write it before you turned the page. When Nora Roberts writes a good book, it is outstanding, but when she does mediocre she goes over board. There were no surprises, no moments of wonder, no mystery and no real story.

I Loved this book, as all Nora Roberts Trilogy books, as the story continues it gets better and better, I loved watching, reading how each couple fell for their counter mates. I absolutely loved the reveling of Cian and Moria falling in love and when he saved her life, the speach she made when making him Sir. Cian. As always can't wait for the next book. I am giving this book as a gift to my sister.

I love this trilogy, it has everything from magic, vampires and battle to magical romance, and heartbreak and hope. Nora Roberts has done it again with her amazing writing. I not only own the paperback books, I own the ebooks on my kindle :)
