Thank you Shark Tank for putting together and sharing this incredible resource of information and experience. A must read for any entrepreneur, this book exceeded my expectations.
I am a business owner and I will be recommending this book to every person who has ever ask me about having their own business.

If you love the television show, Shark Tank then you will absolutely love this book! Financial freedom is the American dream and it is the reason why many people start a business. With countless opportunities to forge ahead on the path of business, Shark Tank Jump Start Your Business is an excellent source to living the entrepreneur’s dream. These 284 pages read much like a discussion and challenge the reader to assess whether owning and running a business is for them. The chapters are relatively short but in this book you will cover: your strength and weaknesses as a potential entrepreneur, legal structures, marketing, selling, networking, launching your business, financing your business, writing a business plan, developing a product and so much more!!
Complete with personal essays from each one of the Sharks and real testimonies of those who have appeared on the show, you will walk away with a realistic approach to business. Much of business is fraught with success and failure and that is one thing this Author emphasizes throughout the book. Also included in this book are tools and resources for you to put to use when you are ready to begin the journey of entrepreneurship and trust me, they don't leave anything out. After reading this book, you can expect to walk away with a wealth of insight to starting your business, but this is just the beginning. As the author states, this is just a starting guide so be sure to take advantage of the recommendations and put into action the lessons you learn.

Starting a business, running a business, and being an entrepreneur in general is hard work. With that work comes a high risk of failure. But for those individuals that succeed, there is a high sense of fulfillment and financial reward. “The age of entrepreneurship is upon us” according to this book. The facts seem to back up this assertion. While the profits of large corporations are increasing, the economy’s job growth today is coming primarily from small businesses. In fact a boom in business formations has taken place over the past few years as an increasingly larger number of people have decided to take the risk and strike out on their own. Some may dream of financial profits, others may want the independence of being their own boss, some may have a great idea, while others may be forced to by their circumstances. But, whatever the reason, this book was written to help them in their journey.
This book is tailored towards these very people that may have started a business or could be in the process of considering a business idea and it was written in close correlation with the six “Sharks” from the ABC television show Shark Tank. One of the central appeals of this book is the ability that the author had in weaving in practical lessons or real life stories with his points. The Sharks, in particular, are not people known for their classroom knowledge of entrepreneurship but for actually having real world business knowledge of what works and how to lead a profitable business.
One of the main oversights of the book is its failure to discuss what to do with a successful business: pass it on to the next generation, sell it, or go public. This does not distract from the basic message of launching and growing a business and I can recommend it as a book that should be read whether you are considering a business launch or are seeking to grow your business to the next stage. It will motivate you to take the next step in your entrepreneurship career.

Being a business consultant for small business owners, I strongly recommend this book as a first read. It is well written, easy to follow and provides practical first steps for turning ideas into realities. Thanks for the free download. I shared that information with my friends who needed to hear something they can relate to that as not over their heads.

"Jump Start Your Business" achieves a great balance of advice, anecdotes, and theory to make it valuable to a wide audience of experienced business people or budding entrepreneurs. The book is very well organized and takes care to include a step prior to where most business books start. It helps the reader determine whether they are ready to be an entrepreneur and identify characteristics that will be needed on their journey.
To note, I listened to the audiobook, and Michael Parrish DuDell also did a nice job narrating. Overall, it provides a straightforward process to help someone get a business off the ground, backed by great advice and anecdotes from the Sharks. Even as only an occasional watcher of the show, I found it very informative and an enjoyable listen.

This book gives excellent, practical, and HONEST advice about starting a business and entrepreneurship in general. It asks the reader lots of good questions that helps determine whether leaving the steady paycheck and taking a risk starting a business is the correct choice. This book provides an excellent overview of starting a business and includes the entire process from planning a product or service to execution.
I really like the subtle tie-ins to the television show, including the characters I am familiar with and their opinions on certain aspects of entrepreneurship. Having said that, this book is an excellent stand-alone guide for all individuals considering starting their own business. Unlike the television series, this book focuses on providing advice rather than entertainment and laughter, giving a more behind-the scenes picture of the entrepreneurs you see on television.

I love Shark Tank, but was incredibly disappointed by this book. I would have loved a book written by the actual sharks, but their insights in this one are few and far between. I'm fairly new to the business world, and even from my limited experience, I can promise you that your time will be better spent buying any other business-best-seller and starting from there.

I received this in the mail. Not sure why, because I didn't order it, but I'm grateful to have it. Being in business already, it helped me reassess and review. Also having a start up, it helped me determine where to focus my energy. Great read.

If you're reading this, you're likely looking for information on how to either start your own business or take what you've created to the next level. Go ahead and hit "Add to Cart," because Michael Parrish DuDell and the other sharks have created an easy-to-digest, thought-provoking piece of entrepreneurship gold that inspires as well as it informs. So many of the tips and recommendations are still ringing in my head daily as I go about building my business.
At only 284 pages, this book may be the most efficiently-created business starter I've ever read. For both pros or those nursing a startup dream, it's a must-add to your bookshelf.
Full disclosure: I've never seen "Shark Tank" and still enjoyed the hell out this book.
