i admired the heroine's devotion to her brother, even when it jeopordizes her relationship with the man she loves. i liked that the hero inspite of his reservations about her brother, comes through for elizabeth.

Overall, the story was good. In some parts, it got a little difficult to suspend belief that, yet again, the heroine was in danger. It was a quick, enjoyable read and I will read the next one in the series.

It's just a very simple story with annoying impediments to the hero and heroine's inevitable union and a predictable outcome. The suspense/mystery at the core of the story is not very interesting. The book itself is well written; by that, I mean it's grammatically correct and not riddled with typos or errors - a bonus. However, the plot is just too banal and simple to make me want to read any of the other books in the series.

This is one of those books that's entertaining, but it's not going to change your life. It kills some time, but it's so much like so many other books out there, there really isn't anything that stands out.
