I've definitely enjoyed the first two books of Matthew Bracken's Enemies Trilogy and am looking forward to reading the final book in the series. The story is so close to reality that it is scary how easily we could end up with the scenarios described in this series of books. If nothing else, it will definitely make you think.

The degree to which supporters of "la Raza" are demonized almost makes me feel sorry for them as a group. On the other hand, it also almost makes me want to pick up my old .30 cal carbine with the taped-together magazines and shoot most of the activists. Steppo

Great story and very well written. The reader of the audio book could have been better. This book had Spanish words and official military and law enforcement jargon which the reader did not pronounce well. I believe that a word should be pronounced as it should in the original language to get the full meaning.

this being the 2nd book in the "Enemies trilogy" by Matthew Bracken was as good a read as the first and third books. Some of the characters of the first book are reunited and new friends/enemies are brought into play to set a stage in the SW of the United States, or what was....

Masterful storyteller with amazing prescience. Highly recommend the EFAD trilogy, the Bracken Anthology, and Castigo Cay,,,and anything else the guy writes! These books, written in the early 2000's describe the events we are seeing in today's headlines, and many more things that are being hidden from public view. Real world survivors in an America that is rapidly changing...

I read these out of order. Number one. Then three, then two. But it didn't matter because they were still entertaining to read. Following the disintegration of the United States is heartbreaking and you think "No. This can't happen." Then you realize, "But it is happening." Maybe not exactly like this. But elements of it. The only thing I can think of is I am glad I live in Texas.

I had the great pleasure of reading the trilogy....AWESOME...Very interesting take on the current state of affairs. It was not a stretch to see what can become of our country. These books make you think more than twice what is going on. It was actually scary how easy things can turn and this book lays out a fairly good possible outcome for things to come if the sheeple don't wake up. Fantastic writing and story line....

Book 1 was a wonderful departure from my usual read and Book 2 kept the pace and excitement in a very different setting.
The characters are well fleshed out.
I particularly appreciate the so very accurate description of firearms, ammo, ballistics, etc.
More accurate info by far than any other novel I have read, ever.

Another pulse pounding thrill ride from Mr. Bracken. The depth of detail leaves you knowing that the author has heavily researched or spent time in the areas written about. Like the first book, this one leaves you wondering what if, and looking at current events we may find out.

Whether you keep up with national current events, or just like to read great semi-ficton, you will enjoy Bracken's entertaining Enemies Foreign and Domestic trilogy.
As many point out, the trilogy reflects the seemingly unfortunate direction the United States is heading. Yes, there is an uncomfortable amount of reality in these texts and often there is not a clear right or wrong. Still, the series does not get mired down in doom and gloom. Bracken's story line and characters are wonderfully crafted. The bad guys leave us screaming for blood, while the good guys are faithful, full of hope, play smart, and overcome, to change the course of what seems to be the inevitable fate of the United States.

I just finished this book. It is the second book in a three book series, so it picks up where Enemies Foreign and Domestic leaves off. It is a good book and makes the reader realize how important it is to defend and fight to retain our constitutional rights.

All three of the "enemies" series are rip roaring reads, and ring true with how Merica is trending. Both highly entertaining and thought provoking. Also should help urge any true patriot to more political action before the actual scenarios in the novels come to fruition

Loved this second book, actually more than the first one. The first book had a disappointing ending for me at the time but there wouldn't have been a second one like this if it had ended differently, this is a must read.

This is the story of the so-called "Reconquista" of America by AZTLAN. The writing and narrative is every bit as well done as the first in the trilogy, but I found the plotline to be just slightly -- only slightly -- "further out" than "Enemies Foreign and Domestic." And I recognize that is not a failure of the book by any means; it is only my own lack of familiarity with the Reconquista movement -- or more accurately, with the prevalence as a movement. Having read it over a year ago, I am now a little hazy about specifics, but I remember feeling that it dragged just a little bit in the middle, though never enough to consider giving up on it. That thought never crossed my mind. On the other hand, as an aviation afficianado, I was quite excited to read of the balding, mild-mannered account-clerk-looking light-twin pilot who used fighter-pilot skills to avoid an enemy helicopter gunship. That section left me breathless. All in all, I found the book excellent, and especially because it dealt with dangerous politics and dangerous circumstances I see today in the real world. I do recommend this book, but more especially the entire trilogy.

I cannot get enough of these books, they have renewed my love of good fiction ("fiction," as in: coming to a world near you unless we change things rapidly and fervently). This guy is ON FIRE when he writes - you get sucked right in to the story and walk among the scenes as a third-person viewer with a close seat to all that takes place. The range of emotions and the highs and lows of the experiences of the characters is well thought out and very realistic. These rank as my favorite books of ALL TIME (I am 43/former Army, and have read all of my life)... just incredible.

The books are a very realistic senario for the future of this country based on the current state of affairs. We as Americans are not immune from the logical and rational consequences of corrupt politicians, illegal and unconstitutional laws, fiat money, Godless policies and politicians, and the hatred we have rightly or wrongly incurred from the rest of the world. There will be consequences for these traitorous actions and that doesn't include the black swan events like EMP, solar flare, mideast turmoil, and terrorist attacks that can affect this country. Read these books and wake up America!

I downloaded this e-book for free, thinking it would probably not be worth much. I was wrong. The author is articulate and astute with his story. A very good read. I will probably buy the paperbacks just to have a hard copy. Enjoy.

Excellent, page-turner. Matthew Bracken delivers again. Not afraid to go where the story needs to go but with a solid sense of taste and propriety. No foolish gimmicks to create suspense or dread, just solid writing and great story-telling.

Starting out already better than many new writers, Matthew's skills are improving rapidly. And he always has the stories that make it worth any trouble to read! I can imagine a time in the not too distand future when books such as this will be illegal, so get started now!

Matt Bracken is a great story teller and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. My fear is that this novel may be predicting what is becoming of the United States of America. I can't wait to read the next book in the trilogy.

I don't like novels. I bought this book thinking it was about The Reconquista, about a large part of the USA breaking apart from the USA, I started reading Mr. Matthew Bracken's book and I couldn't put it down. The United States will break apart. Why do you think we have 6 flags over Texas? Maybe someday it will be 7 flags over Texas. Again, I couldn't put the book down! Wonderful. Regards, Keith Renick, Peachtree City, Ga.

Bracken is back with the second in the "Enemies" series. The story picks up where ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC left off. DOMESTIC ENEMIES nicely addresses a slight weakness in Bracken's earlier effort by neatly blending a look at the "big picture" nationwide as his characters go about their odyssey. It is not pleasant to contemplate his version of the "United" States, with $29.00 a gallon diesel fuel, "blue bucks", and $25 postage stamps just some of the "attactions" to anticipate.
Those who subscribe to the myth of "cultural diversity" will find this book highly offensive. And that is perhaps the highest recommendation. Bracken's look at the near future is sobering and all too possible. If his next book in the trilogy, FOREIGN ENEMIES, picks up where DOMESTIC ENEMIES leaves off, the future of the US will be frightful indeed.
Highly recommended!

Just loved all three books and would suggest it to anyone interested in a good read. I am sure it would appear more to conservatives, tea party, libertarians and other like minded folks but is an interesting and great read. I am on the 3rd novel and cant' read it quick enough. I hope he writes a 4th book in this series.

Matt Bracken lays out the path for the "Reconquista" and there is no doubt we are on that path right now... READ THIS and you might have a different perspective on "Immigration Reform" as the policicos are trying to jam it thru now!!!! If you live in the American Southwest this is coming to a state near you,,, soon....

Well written political thriller. Given the current administrations over reach in terms of bypassing Congress there is a degree of credibility to the extraconstitutional actions in the book.
And it has the elements of a ripsnorting modern western.
Surprising that this Navy seal has a female protagonist, but it works.

Hopefully this is not our future. It ie a realistic depiction or what could happen if we stay asleep letting our freedoms erode. This is a well written storyline with well developed characters.I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

I love trhe character development, the story line, and the way the writer does not go into too much detail. The story follows a fictional demise and downfall of the US as we know it. The more I see the news today, the more I think this could actually happen in some form or the other!

I enjoyed this book. It kept me guessing. The author has used his past Seal training in a very useful way. He had excellent training as it requires a USMC SGT. TO TRAIN A NAVY SEAL.

This book (actually series) parallels way too much of what is going on in this country today and the direction we are taking that totally destroys the freedoms we have enjoyed in this country for over 200 years. It should be a wake up call for all Americans to get involved before it is too late.

I highly recommend all of Matt Brackens work as it is very well written, very timely for the situation we live in now, & is more believable than a lot of other writers out there in the same genre.

I found myself not wanting to stop reading until the book was completed. Matthew Bracken
did not dissapoint on this sequel. His writing style makes it really easy to relate to the
characters. I wish I could give his trilogy 6 stars.

Matt Bracken writes about a dystopian future that unfortunately is becoming closer to the truth every day. He brings a lot of personal insight to this novel using his experiences in the Special Warfare community and his obvious love of sailing. I found this an easy book to read, it kept me engaged and I learned from the information put forth. Highly recommended.

I've been reading gobs (100+) books in this genre and aside of the predescessor of this book and the Angery American books, this was the best I've read in a long time. Got a little tied up with the Ramos/Ranya thing, but it quickly escalated into a fantastic high steaks tactical logical crescendo all the way to the end. Believable! Not far-fetched scenarios. Gritty. Prophetically damning. While I don't enjoy profanity or sex, I did appreciate all the correct and detailed tactical and firearms description and realness. Nothing more annoying than having SHTF/WROL action books written by fools who have no idea what they're talking about in terms of weaponry and tactics...or realistic soldier or marine behavior. Also, I've read the first book twice before reading this one and the continuity was done nicely.
