Beautiful Secret (The Beautiful Series)

I loved niall but was cut from a different cloth....and his reticence was a little exhausting. Of course I wanted an HEA for him and Ruby but his choice to go to his ex-wife's was phenomenally hurtful. Also, I doubt after the ex's portrayal throughout the book many found their oh so loving conversation even remotely believable. Great read overall.

I absolutely loved Ruby and Niall. I was a little frustrated with him and his carefulness with Ruby. I got that he was unsure and cautious, but I just wanted them to get together already! Once I started reading, I could not put it down. Every time I felt like finally, Niall was there on the same page as ruby, a curve ball was thrown. As I was reading, I could hear Niall's accent and I swooned every time. I would love to punch Anthony in the junk a couple times, but in the end it all turned out for the best. I laughed, I sighed, I yelled in frustration and finally I felt content when it was finished. I definitely had the biggest book hangover since I read it one day!

The beautiful Series is just awesome. So believable and just ahhhhhhh !!!!! Ladies you never disappoint.... I would love for more in this series if you have it in you or characters left....LOL....this series just speaks to me and is intelligent, believable, sexy, and just makes me giddy when I see one released on Kindle!!!!! Thank you!!!!

I really can't say enough good things about Christina Lauren. How they are able to make each story fresh and fun is nothing short of bloody fantastic.
I will read anything and everything they are willing to give us.

I love the Beautiful series! Niall was not what I expected, but it kept me entertained and I was so glad to see the other characters make a debut. That was cool.
Ruby was a trip, but I liked her. Well done Christina Lauren. I especially love the London lingo - as Max is my second favorite, while Bennett is always my first!

How these ladies write another breathtaking book in the Beautiful series is beyond me. I never laughed and cried so hard in my life. From girl code on the plane to the tension during the climax of the plot, I could not put this book down. THANKS FOR ANOTHER MASTERPIECE!

I read Beautiful Player, Beginning, Beloved and then Secret in a row. I didn't fall in love with Niall and his connection to Ruby. Ruby was a bit too desperate to me in the book. I felt the connection towards the tail end, but then it was over. I don't know, maybe I am biased too because I really loved Will and Hanna

While I enjoyed Beautiful Secret, it is my least favorite of the series. The story moved a little slower than some of the other books and I found myself getting annoyed at the main male character. He seemed so old-fashioned. this may come across as attractive to some readers, but to me I found it somewhat far fetched. I much prefer the other men who know what they want and aren't afraid to go after it (or her).

Oh Christina Lauren. You just do this to me every single time. Every. Single. Time.

Fans of their writing will find all the things they typically love in Beautiful Secret. Hilarious inner dialogue, tangible sexual tension, and a heartbreaking level of emotion and sweetness in the growth of the relationship between Niall and Ruby. The journey to actually hitting the sheets took longer than I expected (I mean, hello, Beautiful Bastard anyone? Somewhere in chapter 1 or 2, right?), but in no way did it detract from their story. Anything else wouldn't have been authentic for Niall's character. FYI- Telling me he's a Mr Darcy? Yes, just yes. Thank you, for that mental image. I adored that he was hesitant and unsure and openly admitted that he didn't know what the frick he was doing. Ruby may not have been my favorite heroine (that is still a tie between Chloe and Hannah) but together, I loved them.

I have a couple spoilery things, that I'll keep to the end of the review, but I will admit two things that *almost* knocked this down to four stars for me. 1- Ruby's internal conflict came very late in the book, and didn't make a ton of sense to me since it did kinda come out of left field. And 2- (people are going to think I'm insane for this) I could NOT STAND the font that Niall's POV was written in. Seriously, it was difficult to read. I felt nuts for thinking, because it's just a font, right? But honestly, the first half of the book, I didn't even look forward to his chapters because it hurt my eyes. No need for a different font, editor. Labeling the chapter is just fine, we're smart people.

Okay, and back to my everlasting love of this book. *SPOILER-ISH STUFF*

Thank you. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for giving her a backbone at the end. Oh, I prostrate myself before you. THANK YOU for having Niall hold himself back from kissing her or touching her when she was flaming (and justifiably) mad. I was like, raising my hands and going "YES, YES YES YES!" when she explained why she needed space. And it was so refreshing. Because it was REAL. So many books have the big he-man push for angry, makeup sex and all is forgiven. Oh, you're going to make me see stars? Great! You're forgiven! But no, in the infinite awesomeness that is Christina Lauren, you gave us a heroine who straight up says, NO, I need some space and you will give it to me. That's the kind of heroine I want to read, and that's the kind of love story that I will pay almost $8 for. And the sweetness of the reunion? Oh my heavens. love. I am just so in awe of their ability to perfectly balance steamy sexy times and depth of emotion.

You two, you just rock. Keep it up. I'll buy them as long as you write them!

The story plot was much slower than other Christina Lauren books. Normally I tear right through them, but this one hung out in my que and I would get bored with it and read something else. I think this one would appeal more to the reader looking for more of that romantic "longing" plot line.

While Will is, hands down my favorite, Max Stella runs a close 2nd. He has some competition in this baby brother of his. I adore Niall. He is such a lovable character (and sounds crazy hot). He's the first one I could relate to. I see him as the male version of myself and this made me love this story. Highly recommend. Can't wait to see if we get any new stories from the Beautiful series :)

Another of my favourite books from this series. Was abit surprised that the Ruby never got to meet Chole and Sara in the book, but enjoyed it anyway. I got to like the writers more and more as I read more of the books in this series. Well done ladies. Romantic, Fun and Sensual.

This is seriously my favorite out of the beautiful series! I couldn't put it down! Kudos to the ladies who wrote this book!!! It sucked me in from the very beginning and had me heart pounding all the way through!!!!!!!!!

Loved reading about Ruby and Niall. I also liked how the previous cast of characters made a little appearance in their story. I would love to read more about these two as well as the others from the "beautiful" books from Christina Lauren. I am patiently awaiting your next story!!

This was a good story between Naill & Ruby. Naill was a broken man from his divorce and couldn't trust his own instincts but loved to learn new things women liked. Ruby had her dream man and taught him how to love. Looking forward to reading the next book.

Great love story... very sensual, and sexy. Oh my gosh the way she wants him and how he learns to feel her and show her what he needs. He is so proper, so British and doesn't know how to express what he wants and needs. Until Ruby she is his release, his everything.

I LOVE THESE BOOKS!!! I am an avid reader. This is my favorite author. These books make me laugh, cry and smile. The narrators are wonderful and make them even better if you listen to them in audio book. Look forward to riding in the car alone so I can listen on my way places. Highly recommend this author and this series.

I'm a fan of almost everything by Christina & lauren, so naturally I was super excited about its release. After reading it I didn't feel what I felt with the other books in this series. I'm not really sure why they choose these characters to write about unless it's just to tie them to the Wild series. However, I love their witty dialog they use ! I laughed all the way through. Worth the buy!

I cannot say enough about the dynamic duo that IS Christina Lauren!! Their writing is fantastic, the love scenes are steamy and erotic but not overdone, and they are funny as hell! I always have such a book hangover after reading one of their novels or novellas! If you enjoyed the rest of this series, you will not be disappointed! :D

I will read anything by these authors. I absolutely love that the series in itself are stand alone novels and you do not need to read one before the other. I loved the humor, and just the right amount of angst to keep me engaged! Can't wait for the next book.

I liked these authors for their ability to create new refreshing interesting characters. I have pre- order this book so I read it as soon as it became available and before I read any reviews. However, I just read the reviews and have to disagree with most of them.
I did like the characters very much but part of the story got on my nerves. Niall is adorable but too confused for my like. Ruby was iinteresting, fun and very understanding.
Spoiler Alert ---
I understand that he is over Portia but the damage to him due to that marriage has made him so insecure that he compares EVERYTHING with his marriage. I got so tired of hearing about Portia, at some point it is clear that somehow she was going to show up and cause trouble. I understood Ruby and how she managed the situation, that was incredibly generous of her part. But he wouldn't stop bringing Portia into their relationship even in the most important moments of their intimacy. Again, I like these authors and I think they could have achieved the goal of telling Niall's story and reasons for having issues moving forward with a new relationship with Ruby without making Portia present as the most important part of their relationship. For crying out loud every time they made a step forward they took a step back because of his past relationship with Portia. I REALLY got tired of her.
However, Rudy, I was completely taken by her. In my understanding she was more mature than a 23 year old and that worked to Niall's advantage.
The book starts slow and it takes a slow pace for them to fully consummate their relationship. In every step of the way we were told every detail and every though and hesitation and the reasons for it. However, when it finally happens, when they fully consummate their relationship, we find out the day after and just two lines about it, which contradicts the flow that was already established before. Then, hell break loose, and everything that can go wrong goes wrong, which is ok. Rudy looses her job, looses her confidence and trust in Niall. She breaks up with Niall and needs time to get herself together and let months passed without communication between them, felt like the end of Beautiful Bastard. Then, everything is corrected and the story abruptly ends. Ends nicely but if felt that it was a bit rushed, maybe there is a novella that will follow, like some of the other "Beautiful" stories, I hope that is the case. No worries, we get the HEA.
I give 4 stars because I really got tired of Portia and how fast the story ends.

Loved this story! Started out making me laugh out loud, and not wanting to put it down. Loved the character developement and the characters themselves. Really love this series and this one did not disappoint. Actually made me sad when I finished it. I missed the characters immediately. Sexy book. Definitely worth a reread!!

Really enjoyed this read, just like all of the Beautiful Series. Although I will admit I have only read the books on the guys, not the girls on the cover of C. Lauren. I will, without a doubt order another of C. Lauren books.

Having read the whole series a while ago, after reading SECRET ,, I read the whole series over again + loved it as much as the first time. I know that in the future I will read all the books again cause I loved them so much...

Awesome read! So refreshing to have a story told with a different "type" of guy. Reminded me of my husband and I loved reliving the early days of our love story. You hit the nail on the head with this one ladies. Loved it! One of the best books of 2015

I laughed at the beginning of this thing. I really did. It would be a five starer but I felt like her character was a mess but then super confident and badass. It wasn't consistent. Still a really good book though.

I have read many Beautiful books. I really enjoyed this one. I felt Niall moved a little slow with the physical part of their relationship. Is there any men in the world like that? It would have been nice to hear more about their HEA. Marriage kids etc.

I love love love the Beautiful series!! This book was definitely way sweeter and sort of totally different than the others (you'll understand that if you've read them all) but still awesome and still HOT!!!! More books from Christina Lauren please!!

And DONE! Oh my graciouciouness! Is that even a word? Well it is now! Tears. Absolute tears?❤️❤️❤️such a great ending! Once again CLo has done it, they have made me obsessed and couldn't put it down for the last 3 days!
