Claire starts out likable and real but then they must of switched writers because her personality change. Claire became stupid and immature and weak. What a waste of my money and time! Just no, no, no. What happened to the strong survivor? She turned into a dumb, gullible, twit. And the Jonathon? He should have moved on. Dumb just unbelievable.

After having read or skimmed most of this porny book looking for substance, and reading the reviews, I'm shocked by what passes for romantic. You've got a filthy rich, spoiled, overbearing, border line criminal, controlling man who forces himself on a woman and has no qualms about publicly embarrassing her or humiliating her, who uses sex to subjugate; a dishwipe of a woman who likes it. He states she "belongs" to him. She's fine with that. He never believes her and prefers to have her constantly followed and have her calls and e-mails screened. She has two spoiled bratty, self-absorbed, obnoxious daughters. Actually, they're all ridiculously spoiled and obnoxious, self-centered and cruel. There's no character development because they have no character. And the grammar is awful. Obviously, not my idea of a good read.

This boxed set is great, lovely story etc., etc., etc. but.......you want to know what's better than her books? (And that's hard to do, being better than her books) ;-) it's her relationship and obvious respect for her fans. I'm not gonna lie and say I've read everything she's written, in fact this is only my second series of hers that I've read, but I happened to hit her web page address and decided to stay and read through her posts and I am so glad that I did. You don't see this often, an author that loves the people who read her work as much as the readers love her books. So I encourage you to read this because not only is it good, the author is lovely too. Sorry for run on sentences but I had to type fast.?

:::Mid-Life Love (Book One):::
I had stopped reading Adult contemporary romance, because for the most part I just couldn't connect very well with the characters since they were so much older than me. But the synopsis for this book was too powerful to resist.
The story immediately hooked me, and the writing was so well done that the age's of the characters didn't seem to be at the forefront of my mind. Claire Gracen was such a strong character despite the many hardships she had to endure.
She's a 39-year old mother of two teen girls and has been divorced for a few years. After being cheated in and betrayed by her best friend, Claire never really wanted to let anyone in, especially romantically.
Jonathan Statham is 28-year old CEO of his own company. Claire briefly catches his eye, and he makes it his mission to find out everything about this woman who leaves him speechless after a mere few seconds.
The pace of this story was perfect and every detail was dragged out appropriately. Claire's hesitation toward Jonathan was reasonable, but I wanted nothing more than for her to give in and open up to him.
There was a wonderful combination of romance and drama, mixed in with a great amount of comedy. The flirty banter between Claire and Jonathan was playful and comedic, with an underlying tone of serious lust and passion.
As for the supposed "FSoG rip-off" comments…
I'm not sure those people read the same book. Everyone tends to say books are ripping off that series since it's so widely popular, when that in fact is not the case.
Mid Life Love might have a swoony billionaire, but that's the only thing it holds in common with Fifty.
:::At Last (Book Two):::
I don't easily hand out 5 star ratings, but the Mid Life Love series is so fabulously written that I truly have no other option.
Claire and Jonathan's story continues in At Last.
Again, Claire impressed with her strength and resilience. In fact even more so in this book than the first. Both Ryan (her ex-husband) and Amanda (her ex-BFF) come back into her life and try to knock her down. Claire is just too strong to let that happen. She stands up for herself and never lets guard down.
There are tiny disagreements here and there between Jonathan and Claire, but nothing with the ability to tear them down. This couple never ceases to amaze me. They are such strong characters individually, and when they get together (well, not that they're ever really apart!) their connection and love is out of this world.
Jonathan is the ultimate alpha with just the right amount of serving of a romantic. He sends flowers to Claire daily. Even when they've had an argument, there they are sitting at her desk. Along with cutesy, but most of the time, lustful little notes.
Oh and about the prenup.. yeah, there isn't one. I mean what better way to say "I trust you and I believe in us" than not having a prenup?
The sex/love scenes between C & J were just a steamy as ever. I love that they know just how to work with that balance between "love-making" and "f***ing". Something tells me those two crazy love birds are going to last!

I really enjoyed this series, Andrew is hot, sexy, cocky, arrogant, but frustrating and infuriating all at the same time. I really like Aubrey, she seems fun, I like how she stands up for herself with Andrew but I hate how her parents treat her. I enjoyed reading their banter back and forth, their phone conversations were fun and at times so sexy.
I have to say Aubrey's initial reaction to some news she learned was great and I was quite shocked by this news also. I loved how even when they were apart and he was trying to move forward he couldn't, he loved her but was stubborn, they both were. I have to admit I was happy that she stood up for herself and left him and her awful parents and went where she did. I worried that it wasn't going to work out for her but in the end it did and I was so glad she could live her dream. I was so saddened by everything Andrew went through in the past, how terrible, and how heartbreaking. I loved reading about Emma and how he felt about her, showed a side of him that he tries to keep hidden but lately we have seen it more with Aubrey. I was so happy when Andrew started actively showing her how much he loved her. I could not believe what ended up happening, how he changed his whole life around. But the ending was the best part of all, I only wish we could have experienced a little of their life once they were a true family and he was whole again. I loved this series, great job Whitney

Great read, this was my first book by Whitney G. Great characters but hard to understand sometimes. Jonathan could be nasty at times and Claire for as old as she was acted juvenile in many instances. Betrayed bt her husband ryan and her best friend Amanda left her devastated. She decided her age was a factor in her relationship with Jonathan but she was the only one who thought that. One fact was unclear........was Claire really pregnant? That should have not ended without knowing.

I absolutely love and adore this series! I will read anything Whitney writes. I swear! She is definitely one of my favorites authors. :) I didn't know what to expect when I read Mid Life Love but I'm so glad I read this series because it exceeded all of my expectations. Whitney has a way of creating characters and a world that SUCKS you in to the point where you stay up all night beside the fact you have to wake up tomorrow for work in the morning. :) The writing is great, the characters and plot are well done and holy Crap there's a whole lot of Sex! My gosh. Lol Mid Life Love is definitely a series that will leave you begging for more and it shows the strength of this author because this series left her readers begging for more that she started a weekly serial on her blog. Lol I can't wait to read more from this author.

The only bad thing about this series, is that its comprised of two books instead of three. Thats it. So if you haven't yet, please do, the characters are fantastic. Plus, Whitney is so amazing, you get weekly updates of how their lives are progressing after the boxed set ends.So really, the story is ongoing, and as such I take back my opening statement. There is nothing bad about this series. Buy it, Read it, Love it. It's amazing.

I have this habit of trolling through websites lookiing for interesting books to read and came upon Mid Life Love. I purchased it after reading the blurb and started reading it and as I was reading I got more excited and happy and just fell in love with Jonathan & Claire! This was right before At Last came out. I have read everything that is out there by Whitney and am anxiously waiting for the Jilted Brides and Twisted Love and anything else this author releases. I'm extremely happpy that mocha mondays (check out her website) has returned. If you haven't read any of her books do yourself a favor and get the boxset of Mid Life Love. You won't be sorry! F.L.Y. Whitney!

These stories are great. I really enjoyed reading about a character who was starting over in her middle age. The fact that she wasn't all gaga eyed and wet behind the ears was enjoyable to read in a female character. Without giving anything away, this book really hit all the things I really enjoy in a romance novel. She didn't "fall" for the guy in the first 2 pages of the book, he was persistent in his pursuit of her and well, don't get me wrong, the fact that he was a young, hot, billionaire didn't hurt either. Pick up these books! I think you'll enjoy them!

I discovered this author by her Reasonable Doubt series, which I loved but there's something about the alpha in this series that I adored. He's strong but loving and hot! I loved everything about these books.

I absolutely loved this book, I fell in love with Whitney and Reasonable Doubt and couldn't wait to read this book. Jonathan and Claire's love story was brilliant and I didn't want it to end. I couldn't put this book down and when it finally finished I wanted more. Anything Whitney Gracia Williams writes is always worth reading. Can't wait for your next book Turbulence and more Jonathan and Claire in Twisted Love

I just loved these stories. Reread them a couple of times and can't get enough of Jonathan and Claire. I wish there was going to be a third.
It would be great to get more of Jonathan's POV. Love all of Whitney's books. I read them as soon as their released on the store.

Book 1
No cliffhanger
Standalone though there is a second book that continues their story
Told from both POVs
Minor editing issues
I was very curious if I would like this book or not but was very quickly pulled in by the storyline. The author has you rooting for Jonathan very early on and at times I wanted to slap Claire for not appreciating him more but you start to get it after a while.
One thing I will say is if you are looking for a realistic book about falling in love this ain’t it. After basically barely knowing Claire he buys her a $100,000 bracelet. He pays off her mortgage and her student loans and she barely bats an eyelash. Not very believable but still a super hot book to get lost in if you want to escape reality for a bit.
PS: Her kids are spoiled little brats. That is the only really thing I would change in this book.
Book 2
No cliffhanger
The follow up to Resisting the Boss
Told from both POVs
Minor editing issues
This book was actually way better than the first book. I was sucked in from the beginning and the drama just kept getting better and better.
It is really hard to not give too much away but you get a lovely glass of closure when her ex husband shows back up to mess with her life again.
This book was just as hot as the first one and Jonathan might have become even more irresistible in this book which I didn’t think could happen.
I am interested in reading the next book in this series about his sister Hayley.

I absolutely loved this series! I could not put it down and I literally have to hold back the tears because it is over. Please read it ASAP. It is full of sassy, hilarious characters. It is a love story with a lot of twists and turns that will literally feel like an emotional roller coaster ride.

Now, the second book, I felt, was a complete waste of my time. The fact that the main female character has somehow turned into into this woman who believes that it is her right to spend a babillion dollars on a wedding (when in the previous book, she insisted on going dutch on dates), Also, that while romantic, the fact that she receives a bought (or more) of flowers every day from the lead male (and really this is likely 100-200$/day) really bothers me, as a supposedly educated modern woman and a previous employee of a supposedly crappy benefits company, she should have been a proponent of asking her intended to increase the benefits and/or work life balance for his employees, or better yet, aid children affected by drug addictive home lives.
If you want lots (and lots) of sex in your novels, with little context or believability (with a large amount of jealous, controlling men) then this is your book. Otherwise, I would give this one a pass. I really enjoyed Sincerely Carter, so I was very disappointed in this book.
