The Real Story of his life - and his death

This book is interesting; however, to brief. The author claims he will discuss issues later, but doesn't. The sources he used to write the book are good. Most people don't know that Hamilton laid the foundation of our economic system, our judicial branch of government and many other things.

I did enjoy the book. I definitely gained some insight on the nuances in Hamilton's life.

Wasn't as thorough as I'd hoped and I could've done with out the author's voice he included.

I would recommend to anyone interested in learning the stages of his life, or to learn what great achievements and foundations Alexander Hamilton set for America.

Mark Steinberg gave a wonderful glimpse behind the curtain of accepted history to flesh-out the whole background of one of America's patriots. Clear, precise, and engaging writing provided insights into the man and time of Alexander Hamilton.

I am on the first chapter and already confused. It says Hamilton's maternal grandmother left her husband, Hamilton's mother Rachel tow, and relocated. At her new location, the grandmother remarried. However, this mate was also unsatisfactory and the book states " but Rachel was treated very badly...and again decided to leave her husband for a better situation". Not sure now who married who!!!!! Chapter 1!!!!

vey informative about this man Hamilton and what he accomplished in the american Revolution. I learned some valuable lessons as to how to avoid falling into bankruptcy. I also learned to be faithful to your spouse if one wants to be successful in life and ultimately have a happy marriage and family.

I will read again Hamilton
The book was very intriguing. My attention was always drawn to the next event even to the very end.

Reading about the early days of Hamilton life, helped me understand better, his conflicting relationships in his later life.
