Very interesting and the author gave excellent explanations of why she wrote the book and how the gut and brain are so closely related. Too bad the title could keep some from picking it up. Her advice and information is great for anyone wanting to improve their body and mind.

My husband and I really are enjoying this book. Knowing quite a lot about Ayurveda, the knowledge fits well with our lifestyle and we are in the process of drinking the Prime Tea daily and plan to follow her advice. We already practice TM . If you don't know much about Ayurveda, she does a good job of explaining her self but a reader may want to read about the basics as well. We like it that she is a trained medical person in eastern medicine as well. We believe she is very credible.

Life changing program. Way to rid body of toxins built up over years and restore health. Working with naturopathic physician using this program has improved my health. Although losing weight was not my motivation since I was not overweight, I have enjoyed the 15 lb. weight loss. More importantly I'm rid of years of toxins.

Started following Kulreet's advice and technique and seeing positive results. There are some annoying writing style mannerisms in the book and overuse of lame anecdotes and analogies. It also could do with some editing and better layout. But, overall, this is a must-have book because of the information it provides. The procedures she recommends for cleansing the digestive system and improving digestion are much easier than other programs that are too harsh or too hard. And it definitely helps in curbing cravings. The Prime Tea has also been marvelous for eliminating very unsociable and repetitive belching. I recommend getting this book and trying out her program. Even I've been able to do it. It probably takes only an extra five minutes in the morning to make the tea since it can boil for ten minutes while you do other stuff, unless you count the 20 minutes of meditation she recommends as additional.

I would recommend this book definately.
It really does help with weight issues even if that is not your goal...it just happens naturally.

Scientific, wholistic & comprehensive. Only in Phase I of the Prime, & I haven't been super disciplined about it. Yet I'm still experiencing subtle & notable changes. Namely, I feel more centered, relaxed & in tune with myself.

I recommend buying the products that are suggested in this book because you definitely want quality over quantity. I tried this last year ordering products from the store and when I switched I noticed a HUGE difference. Take hold of your life and ENJOY!

I already liked Ayurveda but this book does add even more info for me,,,,,i like her personal story too,,like her grandfather ,,,was interesting what she went thru when she decided to learn and intergrate ayurveda into her practice and thereby have more tools/knowledge at her disposal in order to help people more,,, the medical profession is too much into manmade drugs,(which unbalance the body,,decrease a dosha too much and increase another dosha too much, hence the bad side effects),,,the pharmaceutical companys give an awful lot of money to medical schools,,i quess that's why,,

I skimmed through the technical/philosophical writing at the front end of the book and went right to the recipes/routine for stage 1. (There are four stages.) Stage 1 was simple and cheap to implement, and I started to see positive results in about a week. (You take Triphala in the evening and make a morning tea from some basic cooking herbs) My crazy craving for sugar, junk food, and fats faded in and out and two weeks later are completely gone. I'm not sure if this is typical, as this result isn't promised in Stage 1, but the book discusses some "changes" in cravings. Based on the results of a quiz in Stage 1, I also added the regimen that recommended the Manjistha powder. I had been fighting insomnia and being able to get up early in the morning without feeling sick since I had major surgery four years ago, and it's been a huge disruption in my life. The other parts of the Stage 1 routine helped with the insomnia, but were no help with my morning problem. 3-4 days after I added the powdered Manjistha to my tea I started waking up naturally and feeling rested at daybreak for the first time in four years.
I was so pleased with the results that I am now preparing to implement Stage 2, which involves purchasing a juicer and making certain juicing recipes and bone broth on a regular basis. It doesn't seem like a lot of work compared to the benefit. (Note: I haven't read ahead to Stages 3 or 4)

This is a very technical book, so if you like to know why something works (or doesn't work) this book will be right up your alley. I gave it four stars instead of five, only because it includes some eastern philosophies I don't buy into, although the author does a credible job of distinguishing whether she's referring to proven science, studies, or a general philosophy. If you don't like technical books, or if you're in a hurry, it's pretty easy to skim to the parts you need.

Love this book!!! This book is well written. I consider myself a "lay person"; so I was pleased to be able to understand what I read.. I believe that this book has things that I can implement in my life everyday that will work. My hope is that it will be a reference always. I'm excited to have started The Prime.

I love the Prime. Dr. Chaudhary's teachings makes perfect sense. So many family, friends and associates and myself have the same digestive complaints, and use multiple OTC and prescribed remedies. What's interesting is I've used some of her Prime ingredients individually, or with other ingredients to combat inflammation or indigestion, but never together. I am excited to try Dr. Chaudhary's methods. l truly love her teachings. I bought the book as well as the Audiobook and am absorbing it. Can't wait get started.

Everyone should have this information. Visit the website or YouTube for videos. Only been doing the program 3 days, took awhile to gather all the herbs, and equipment, but wow.....I already feel it working. This will change my life. Wish I had known about it years earlier before my body got so ama or toxic filled.

I bought this book after reading "The Gut Crisis." it was one of several recommended books in The Gut Crises. I learned and practiced TM (off and on) since I was 15. TM (or effortless meditation) is my Rock of Ages. in 1990 I was first introduced to Ayurveda by Chopra. I never had the resources to go full steam with Ayurveda. Panchakarma. Ideal herbs, and the like. But I have been seen by a couple of high quality Ayurved Physicians who really help with this - what? - 6,000 year old system of perfect health. In 2013 I got a kidney transplant and that was a gift. Last year I bought and immediately began following her Prime. And I very much want to follow through. I am Kapha-Pitta. Well, last week my UC-Davis Transplant Team said, "Stop, forever." They said the herbs aren't FDA approved. Really? after all this you're gonna through THAT in my face?! I will continue to follow but I am exactly in a straight betwixt two, as they say. I want to keep my kidney. And I know that Ayurveda is literally an ancient science of life. I give this wonderful book a Three Star because I am currently feeling very ripped off by the brilliant surgeons that saved my life. Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary does warn us of the huge gap between Ayurveda and modern western medicine.
