I ordered Rogue Warrior and the invoice said Rogue Warrior, but I received Rogue Warrior Seize The Day... I knew I would love the book and so far I do, but I still want the book I originally ordered. Kind of a hassle even though I'm very pleased with the product.

Great book about a man who defies authority when he knows authority is/was wrong. Lots of very interesting venues/scenarios and this man, if he
did HALF of what was written in the book, is one of a kind. He learns, studies and defeats the enemy at every juncture with thoughtful "out of the box" approaches to different situations. When you think things should be approached one way, he finds a better, more efficient and successful way but is criticized for his actions - no doubt because he has shown the authority guys that just because they are more educated doesn't mean they are right in their assessments of various situations. I think if our military had more of these kind of men, that wars would be won sooner and casualties would be much less. I highly recommend this book particularly for Viet Nam vets and all military and former military guys. This is one book I'd read more than once.

A true badass writes about being a badass. While the book isn't as current as some of the other seal team books (No Easy Day), this one was better written, and more interesting in my opinion. What's more to love?!

I have actually read all of Capt. Marcinko's books to date; however, this book is the best by far because its his true-life adventures in the World Of SPEC War. Growing up not too far from where Capt. Marcinko was born, I became fascinated with his story. To read of his adventures and his antics and to see what was done to him in return is unbelievable. What makes it scary is that it is true. I'm not going to go into the scemantics of the writing style or break down the entire book for you, but what I am going to do is tell you the truth... Yes, this book may be hard for some of you to read. Yes, he may be an egocentric adrenaline junky, but first and foremost, he is a soldier, who has served his country and fought for the freedom we all take for granted. In the times in which we live, we need a true hero like Dick Marcinko to make us proud to be Americans, because we have so few hero's to look up to now. If you don't like his abrasive philosophising and his "take the world by the balls" attitude then all I have to say is "Doom on You". Dick Macinko is a true hero and a present day warrior and its men like him who have served our country in times of need, and who have fought and given up their lives for our country, that makes me proud to be an American.

Great book which contrasts a military career of the Vietnam era through the emergence of terrorism in the American mind.

Marchinko's style, albeit over the top at times, shows military leaders there are other ways to lead than a bureaucratic style

You're in Vietnam, one of my favorite instance is after a huge group kill deep in Vietcong country, a viper that a SEAL buddy slices, and offers as a snack, after a very calm "Viper-there". If you're looking for "that" action packed book, look no further, because you found it.

This book is great, heard about the author on the Michael Bane Podcast, provides a pretty in depth look and personal story of a guy who has been there and done that. I highly recommend to anyone with an interest in the Seal Teams.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Marcinko tells it like it was from his perspective to start with nothing but heart, determination, natural talent and leadership. You don't have to like it, you just have to do it.

Great book on military tactics development over the years with a good twist of humor.

Marcinko gives a unique perspective on tactics, leadership and overall common sense.

One of those guys that you'd want to have as a commanding officer no matter what the scenario.

A real hard ass, back it up with brains and butt kicking!
