Wow. This book was an emotional rollercoaster. The poor girls backstory was heart wrenching but the love she had from her sister and brother in law, not to mention her love interest was just powerful. This story is a dark romance and some of the struggles might be hard to read but the story and the conclusion are powerful and worth it in the end. I'm blown away by this book.

I was surprised by the beginning and didn’t know where the story would go. It was a bit difficult to read about any abuses, but otherwise it’s a good read and the characters are wonderfully flawed humans that help each other out of tragedy.

Jack certainly has many hidden facets. Meeting him in the Billionaire Bankers series never knew he would have such a story. Also glad that Georgia decided to write about Lena's sister. Never thought she would cover these two characters. There is always, always a great story that the author gets you involved in. A must read with a HEA.
A Dark Captive Romance (Rose and Thorn Book 1) - Blush Pink Rose :: A Damaged Billionaire Series Book 2) - Reckless (Fractured Farrells :: CINE (Spanish Edition) - Matar a un ruiseñor :: The Truth According to Us :: Silent Daughter: A Dark Billionaire Romance

This was a difficult read from start to finish. A woman who was abused as a child, sold as a sex slave, who finally catches a break when her brother in law finds and purchases her. After getting help, she finally meets someone who helps her get passed her past and the motivation and love to move into the future.

This was a beautiful, heartbreaking love story. I loved it!
Your heart breaks for everything Sofia has suffered through. Jack has gone thru trials of his own, and the two are just made for each other. There's so much emotion, angst, suspense and feeling crammed into this book. It was great, a must read!

Loved it! The pace and progression, the characters, the interaction. Even though they both seemed to fall quickly, it was believable in that the author made you feel the connection between the characters.....they saved each other.
I would read the other characters' stories based on this one.

Wow! What an amazing story. I really loved Jack. He can save me any day. Sophia has gone through so much and never thought she would ever find love let alone have a man touch her. Their attraction to each is electric and they find strength in each other. I loved it! I Voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy.

Another enjoyable story from this very talented author. I had a lovely surprise when reading it too - my most favourite characters, Lana and Blake, from the Billionaire Banker Series, are in this dark tale too. This is a beautiful romance where two broken people come together, healing other in the process.

Wonderful!!! A woman who thinks she is not good enough for anyone and a man who has been through hell. Together they make a very romantic couple who are fantastic for each other in their own special way!

This books story keeped pulling at my heart strings the whole way through Sofia and Jack's relationship for the two wasn't just about a past of dark and pain That each have suffered from. But could they find love? Can they over come there past and there pain?can they move forward? and what will there future be like? This book was addicting and couldn't put it down.

I wanted to like it and characters were interesting. It was good til the story jumped big time. Was disappointed because I thought Jack was done being drunk and he goes to Sofia after having a good night with her. Sad the story wasn’t developed more.

Georgia Le Carre has done it again!!! I loved this book, I read it right through. Loved Jack Irish and Lena. Always a plus when you can see your other favorite couples mentioned too! Great story of how you can overcome great burdens and some quick action to keep it good! Another winner!

There were several books within this series. As i read the first one i would find the continuation of it in another KindleUnlimuted selection. Then when finished that one, would go back to the Beautiful Series.

Tears rolling down. Georgia is an excellent author, the book makes you hold your breath for every woman that had been through and still been through that monstrousity of human kind. As always well done.

There is no doubt that these are two fractured people. Luckily, all it takes to heal from years of physical and mental trauma is some dirty sex and a caveman mentality. LeCarre gives us weak characters and the barest amount of plot, but no sense of realistic timing, sympathy for characters, or conflict. The first chapter was intriguing, but the book goes downhill from there. Its all too pat; the characters' trauma resolved too quickly.

I am completely hooked on anything written by Le Carre. She has once again created a great story with real life characters. Yes, everyone is always wealthy but not everyone experiences these dark, life altering experiences and lives to tell. I love that the Barringtons are back and still trying to save the world one person at a time. Both main characters are damaged and what a chance they have to move on and find true love.

As always, Georgia Le Carre's are great beyond words. I'm a big fan of all her series. I love how diverse the characters are and this book, beauty and the dark, was just as beautiful as all the others. I was very excited for Jack Irish to have his HEA.

This was a great premise. I usually enjoy these kind of ridiculous stories of a woman meeting a man who with their own damaged past is capable of healing her wounds. But this was terrible. She can barely handle the touch or eye contact with a man, and suddenly after a couple weeks with very sparse meetings she sleeps with this guy. He is forceful, drunk, and treats her terribly and she doesn't get a flashback or scared? It doesn't make sense. Honestly this book would have been better if they slowed things down and had more than one date before she slept with the guy. What happened to "baby steps"?

Couldn't take it...enjoyed some of this authors other works but the relentless political soap boxing of a "parasitic society" and a "corrupt capitalist system" (when the heroes are billionaires) is tiresome. It's become a theme in many of her books. Give the preaching a rest!
