This was a lovely tale First lily meets Daniel as a child as she paints art being her passion he thinks her a charming child he is already grown when they meet years later he mistakes her for someone else and kisses her in the dark soon they begin an affair the love scenes are hot he even tosses her salad a little but where it fell down on the job is that it promises a certain sex act but never delivers a great dissapiontment that is why it only gets four stars but otherwise I liked it will read next in series rose in bloom hope that it is better.

I bought this book last night. It was highly recommended on a Facebook page. I had major issues with the settings. She introduced several scenarios that just did not exist in 1845. I wish authors would check history before writing. A bit disappointed.

This story was elegantly written and kept me wanting more of Lily and her carefree ways. I just don't read these kind of books but I am glad I did. I thought this would be one of those aristocratic boring snobbish stories boy did I have it wrong. Wonderfully written and has broaden my way of thinking about these kind of books. Can't wait to read about Rose and Cameron next. Thank you Helen for a most enjoyable read!
