I really liked the book "If you are reading this, it's too late". This book is an exciting page turner that had me laughing the whole time.
This is the second book of the secret series. The series is about 3 kids who are in a society called the Terces society (the `secret society'). The kids need to keep the midnight sun organization from getting hold of special artifacts.
This book is a fantasy fiction book, playing in the present, possibly in a neighborhood in America. Max Ernest, Cass and Yo-Yoji need to find the sound prism and call the homunculus, a legendary creature made in a bottle 500 years ago, and bring him to the Terces society so that they can keep him away from the Midnight Sun, an evil organization of immortal people. The Midnight Sun wants to find Lord Pharaoh's tomb to get all of his experiments and potions, so that they can be unstoppable and all powerful.
One of my favorite parts in the book is when Cass, Max Ernest, and Yo-Yoji go to a Skelton sister's concert with Amber, the third prettiest girl in the school. The Skelton sisters start singing their new song. Cass notices the song sounds like the song that calls the homunculus, Cass tells Yo-Yoji to distract the Skelton Sisters. The Skeleton sisters are distracted but the music and a recording keep playing. Then Yo-Yoji says "Take that you lip-syncing fakers!" and throws his popcorn at them.
This was a very good book and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Book Talk: As the newest members of the Terces Society, Max-Ernest and Cass have real troubles to worry about: Ms. Mauvais and Dr. L are still out there, along with the rest of the Midnight Sun, and they must protect the secret from them. But having real troubles doesn't stop Cass from worrying about imaginary ones as well, like these nightmares that she's been having, nightmares about a strange creature and a haunting song. Soon she has plenty to worry about though, secret meetings, mysterious acoustic devices, cannibals, and a new kid at school following her and Max-Ernest around making it very hard for them to keep their secret. It's important they keep their secret safe, after all anyone who knows their secret is in danger, even you, but if you're reading this, then it's probably already too late!

Rocks My Socks: This book has more codes and mysteries to unravel, more impossible-to-believe twists, and more hijinks from a nervous and unreliable narrator (the chapters are numbered backwards this time around). I also like the new character, Yo-Yoji who just came back from spending a year in Japan where he had his own rock band and developed his sneaker collection. The book also includes a homunculus which is a thoroughly under-used fantasy creature, and a fool, which while fairly popular is still a favorite of mine.

Rocks in My Socks: Much the same as in the previous books, the far-fetched scenarios and gimicks can feel a bit much at times, but if you enjoyed them in the first book, you'll enjoy them in the sequel.

Every Book its Reader: I'd recommend this to those who enjoyed the first book, there is some recap of the first story but I'd advise reading them in order. Great for a wide range as it combines elements of comedy, mystery, adventure, and fantasy.

This is a fun book with an interesting narrative. Cass and Max-Ernest are young adults who have recently been involved with a secret society, the details of which are located in the previous book in the series. Although you do miss out on some details of the protagonists, you could read this book without having read the previous installment, THE NAME OF THIS BOOK IS SECRET.

When you read IF YOU'RE READING THIS, IT'S TOO LATE, it is as though you are being told a story by the campfire.

The characters are well-developed, easy to relate to, and have a good sense of humor. Because of the short chapters and common footnotes, I see this as a great book for a reluctant reader. It is easy to pick up where you left off and it takes you down many paths at once, keeping you interested. The footnotes typically add a humorous aspect to an interesting mystery, allowing the reader to venture in a new direction before continuing on with the story.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It had a strong storyline with characters that took risks and maintained and created friendships.

The second installment in the secret series by PB didn't wow me as much as the first. The narrator isn't cute or amusing to me, and the novelty has worn off. The side notes and comments weren't as interesting in this book, and I found myself skipping a few of them. That being said I ate this book up. I read it in one sitting. At the end of it all I felt like nothing much happened. The novel centers around finding a monster, it turns out that the monster is rather easy to find, then it's over. Somehow that took up 300 pages. It certainly flew by. Cass and Max-Ernest haven't changed much from the first novel, and there isn't too much to them; they are pretty much your average teenagers. The series is certainly light and fun and worth a try, but this novel lacked the interesting cliffhanger that the first one had. I'm not sure if there is any need to continue on since I'm pretty sure the secrets will never be revealed to us, but I have the third book sitting here to read anyway. If you are looking for something fun to do for an hour or two this book definitely hits the spot, but it isn't amazing or unique, just ok.

I was recommended the Secret Series by a friend, read the 1st book (The Name Of This Book Is Secret), and loved it. Then I borrowed this book from the library online and read it in a day or 2. I liked it a lot, too! But I'm not going to spoil it, so I'll just say this; the book was great and very funny, so anyone should read it, especially peeps who like mystery and adventure and have read the first book.
Thank u and bye!! :)

This great book targets kids in upper elementary to lower middle school (although I am in college and absolutely love it). It will expand your child's imagination, drag them into a thrilling story, and leave them wanting more. Definitely read "The Title of This Book is Secret" before you read the second book, though.

My granddaughter and I have thoroughly enjoyed trying to guess all the secrets since book 1. We have become total conspiracy theorists, and she is only seven. I hope that the next book keeps us guessing and has as much heroism displayed by the young as this book did.

PB: Would you give yourself five stars?
PB: Only five?
PB: Five is all the store has.
PB: So the store's folly should limit my greatness?

Ok so read to the end of IYRTITL and you'll get it. I agree with the other reviewer who liked PB's interview with PB at the back of the book. That was hilarity worthy of...I don't know, someone hilarious! PB, I guess... These books remind me of the Benedict Society series except I think PB's are funnier and weirder... even though I like them both.

So yes, PB, go ahead and give yourself 5 stars...though I know you would, at the very least, anyways! And I hope there is a book 3.

I absolutely LOVED these books. would recommend them to anyone 9-16. Some of the concepts of this book might be to hard for younger kids to understand. These books are very fun to read, but the real book is better than the one on the Kindle. I would recommend checking them out at the library before buying the Kindle version.

This book is amazing, but this series has little side notes marked with stars that can't be seen in this kindle edition. I think they must be put at the bottom of a normal book, but in the kindle, you have to skip all the way to the end, skip a few pages infront, and then read the side note. Its very inconvienient.

The book «If you are Reading this Book its too Late» is a very adventruis mystery book. One of my favorite parts of this book is that its chapters are backwords, wich confuses beginers to the series. Thank you Pseudonymous Bosch for writing and illustrating this book
