This book is the single most extraordinary depiction of the power and place that love has in our lives. It speaks with a plainness that reaches the heart immediately and makes sense. Instantly digestible and applicable. A book everyone should have in their personal libraries.

This little book is timeless, a reminder that something as simple as love has a myriad of implications in our lives. Though written in the late 1800's about a text written 2000yrs ago....truth remains worth your time!!

Drummond's work sucked away all of the enmeshed shame-ridden half truths I had been presented with in my southern conservative protestant upbringing. It is amazing to me how the simple mystery of God's love for us gets twisted by the unacknowledged fears of those who should be more confident in their witness of the 'Good News'. From here I have discovered so much more in Christ as my Abba than in god the punctilious.

This dear little book should be required reading for the world these days. Its message of the true meaning of love is timeless and practical. I will be giving some of these away. Just what I wanted.

I had never heard "love" analyzed in such a manner. The contents of this book are often surprising! Love is the greatest of God's commandments to Christians, and often the most difficult to achieve. There is much here to ponder.

this review is on the binding, not the published works... The description says imitation leather.... well, if you can color a paper back book the color of leather, I guess you can call it imitation leather... Personally, I'd call it a lie. I'd give it one star, but I think that it wouldn't be fair because I'd have to take the published works into consideration too.
