The Boxcar Children Mysteries Books 5-8 (Boxcar Children))

Boxcar Children Mysteries remind me of the kids mysteries that I read as a child.
The books are for our grand-daughter and she loves to read them. That says a lot right there as we want our children to read more.

When they were growing up, all of our children loved to have this series of books read to them. We had found them in our local library so I was pleased to be able to send them to my children, now grown, so my grandchildren can have the same wonderful experience

Really an excellent series for young children. My 10 year old loves the Boxcar Children and I love for him to read them. Very clean, with great family values. The only series I like as well are the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew books!

I decided that my grandson might like the old Boxcar Children books so I bought the first four and he loved them, so I bought the next 4 and we're through with those. He has gotten some in his school library and has zipped through them. I think some of the books we used to read are far better than the ones that are being written now. I am so pleased he enjoyed them.

We LOVE the Boxcar Children books. We were introduced to the first one through my daughter's kindergarten home school curriculum and they have been some of her favorites ever since. So far we have only read volumes written by Gertrude Chandler Warner (she wrote books 1 - 19), but have heard good things about many of the other volumes, also. GREAT read-alouds!

the boxcar children was always my favorite.I got them for my great grandchildren,one was having trouble(wanting)to read,now he reads all the time.Their teachers said it was their favorite books also when they were little.

Have just started reading these Boxcar children books with my 8 year old grandson. Only have to read a little bit and he is already interested and wants to stay up all night to read the rest. Perfect for his age and interests.

I purchased this for my granddaughter for Christmas so I can't really comment yet on the books except to say that it arrived in perfect condition and in a timely manner. I'm sure she will enjoy them very much.

I purchased these for my grandaughter. My own children had a set when they were little. They enjoyed getting one a month in the mail. These come in a set of four. I hoped my grandaughter would enjoy them as much. She couldn't put them down. This is the second set I have bought her. I will be adding to them. The stories are mysteries. But there is adventure and creativity on how the children survive. My grandaughter kept talking about the books to her mom. I don't know the age recommendation. My kids were between 7 and 12 when they read them. My grandaughter is seven but reads at 5th grade level. Hope that helps...
