I would recommend this collection for anyone who needs a gift for a young child or for any parents to have available for their young reader! My grandson loves them. And the "boxcar" box is cute as well as handy.

Boxcar kids is an old favorite entering the 2nd generation in my family. Much appreciated and a gift that will provide many pleasurable hours to grandchildren; will help with developing reading skills and creating life long readers.

My daughter has a voracious appetite for reading and I recently got her a Nexus 7 for Christmas. Looking for some e-books to fill it with, I found this gem. She loves the books and can't believe there are twelve stories in this one set. I simply wish more kids books were sold as a set like this to save a little money. (I'm look at you, 39 Clues! ;-) )

Wonderful and perfect for my 6 year old who loves these books and all she asked Santa for was book 2 & 3- because of this affordable collection and its aesthetic, easy to store quality, these books will be around for years! She is going to be so surprised!

The order arrived promptly and was a surprise for my 8 year old grandson. He loved the packaging and LOVES having all of the first 12 books just waiting for him!

they are the best children's books for young readers! I grew up on them. However, I wasn't the best reader as a child but they had given me a new light on reading. they were bought as christmas presents for my nephews. I was so excited to see them on my nephews Christmas list and it brought back memories of reading them in grade school.

I brought this set for my grandson, John William, every time he comes over he ask if I have any books for him. So for his birthday, I got this set. Now every time he comes over he has to tell me about the book he's read. I plan on purchasing more from this series, he absolutely loves them. So glad I purchased this series.

LOVE this series - a classic. The actual box that the books come in is a boxcar - my children thought that was really neat. We are now on book 2 of the series and my children love it just as much as I did when I was young.

I bought this set for my daughter for Christmas last year. She was so excited to get books! She read all 12 books in about 2 months. She has since read them another 2 times. Very great buy! These are not scary books which is another plus as my daughter was only 6.
