Babies (So Tall Board Books)

I love giving this book to new babies, especially if they have a big brother or sister. The gentle illustrations are wonderful and the story line helps prepare siblings for that new addition who will be "eating, sleeping, laughing, or crying." And who will "like to be hugged and cuddled and loved." A terrific book, I have been giving copies as gifts since getting my first copy from my mother in law more than 30 years ago. I consider it a timeless treasure!

I cannot make any statements about the new edition but I bought this book in 1980 for my first child. I still have it and read it to my other 2 children born in the 90's. It was the first book all my children could read (memorized) before they were 2. It was chewed on by my now 21 year old daughter. I have a new Grand-daughter and look forward to pulling out "Babies" and reading it to her. I'm just sorry to hear that some pages were removed.

The copy we have of "Babies" is from my childhood. It is one that my sister and I always loved. The illustrations and the lyrical text are appealing to the reader and the child. Now I read it to my two year old son. It is unclear why he loves it so much since his favorite things these days are dinosaurs and swords, but we read it every night.

To get attention from publishers I should give this no stars. But then I want to keep this in print so I want people to buy it. It was my children's favorite baby book. It is the favorite of every baby I have given it to. I don't think the parents are just being nice. Look at the reviews of 2nd generation buyers of this book.

I buy the old one with all the pages whenever it comes up used. PPPLEASE bring back all the pages. Also the colors and drawings are not as good as original printing. Looks like a copy of a copy with blur and poor color saturation. Just cheaper reproduction of drawing but book itself is sturdy.

Our 8 month old granddaughter loves Babies. Gyo Fujikawa's Babies was a hit with our 3 children when they were young also. It has such sweet illustrations and a sweet timeless message that all babies should be hugged, cuddled, and loved!

BABIES is an attractive, colorful board book for
infants,toddlers and young children. I bought it for my daughter when she was an infant (27 years ago) and bought it again just now for her newborn son.

I would recommend it highly. The illustrations are
charming of babies doing what babies do.
Buy it; you won't be disappointed.

The book was in great condition at an excellent price. I received it promptly, unlike the other 2 books I ordered from Rescue Books on your site. You should not sell books on your site from people you don't really know.
