Sexy, steamy, funny, sad, emotional...those are words commonly used to describe adult romance. Those words are not enough and way too common to describe my feelings for this Jasinda Wilder must read. YOURS goes so above and beyond common... it is ridiculous. JW has given us a treasure in character development that made me fall so hard for these two characters. I am having a hard time letting them go. I will never get over Niall and Lock's story and I don't want too, they taught me so much !!

Niall is everything I aspire to be. She is fiercely brave and smart and sexy. She has an honest and true love in her heart for her deceased husband, yet knows as a woman she has desires and longs to feel again. She is complete, yet broken. She needs, yet she is self sufficient. She is a hero but vulnerable.

" He was the love of my life and he is gone and I shouldn't feel good things again, should I? "

Lock is the complete opposite of Niall when we meet him. He is living on the edge of death everyday. Waiting for the clock to stop, he has taken to living a careless, loveless life. When he is given a second chance at life he hasn't a clue how to handle this. He was prepared to die , now he has to learn how to live. For some reason his new heart pushes him to need to find the woman who lost her heart , her husband, to make his tick again. He just didn't realize his heart, and other body parts, would be so drawn to her.

"Because I've never invested in anything or in anyone. I ve never let anyone mean anything to me."

Sizzle alert: Lock and Niall's chemistry is so smoking hot that at some points, I had to take breaks to drink a cool one..no seriously , JW wtf?!!

"Mastery. God, such mastery. He knows exactly what I want, exactly what I need, and he refuses to give it to me until I am ready to vocally beg for it. He plays me like I'm an instrument, plucking the strings of my needs and desires. Mouth moving over my flesh, sucking, kissing, laving his tongue over and over and over. Worshipping me."

These two together have some sweet and quiet moments and them some very intense life shattering ones. In this short amount of time together we know life will never be the same for either of them.

" I have so much going on inside me. Guilt. Need. Confusion. Fear. All layered above and in and around this other feeling, a new feeling I don't have words for....It's an immense, intense emotion centered around Niall, and it's not about sex, not really. It's not about her body. Its not even about my heart, the heart in my chest. It's something more. Something deeper . Sharper. Bigger. It cuts . It rips. It swells so my chest feels like it's cracking open. Its the feeling of dizziness, right before you fall off a cliff. "

Brilliant !!!!

Sexual chemistry is one thing, but feeling whole and alive is another. Both Niall and Lock opened up a huge place in their hearts for each other, but now their souls need mending. Feeling worthy of another can only happen is your feel worthy yourself. Can they figure out how to feel whole again together? Can these two hearts that are finally alive beat together in unison forever?
You need to read this epic story yourself and find out!!

I listened to this audio book while taking a risk road trip and loved it- what a conference! It was a great way of getting in a book I want to read but might not have time for and I think I'll start buying audiobooks now- where I had pictured myself using this option before.
Niall is a nurse who meets her (future) husband at the hospital after a very emotional shift as a nurse. Fast forward, they work together, fall in love and get married and then tragedy strikes and Niall becomes a widow.

Lacklan is a playboy traveling the world and living on borrowed time. He's charming and easily finds friends and companions everywhere he goes. Then his time runs out.
Through circumstances out of their control they have something that ties them together but could tear them apart. They face a lot of challenges and through it all their journey is chaotic, their connection is off the charts and their story tugs at the heart! This book quickly became one of my favorites by author Jasinda Wilder!

I thought this storyline had a lot of potential and I looked forward to all the butterflies and heartache I can feel when I get sucked into a good romance. Sadly, this book didn't even give me a flutter. The beginning was slow-going and when the characters finally met I thought each scenario they found themselves in unconvincing and highly improbable. The author gave no build up of a connection between the two main characters which had me actually skipping through the sex scenes! I kept hoping it would get better but unfortunately for me this book fell flat.

It is a great heartwarming story in itself. The continued slang was very unnecessary to compliment this novel. The sexual content got old. Stick to the story. Would I recommend this book. Probably not

This beautiful, gut-wrenching and poignant novel was inspired by a song - "Yours" by Russell Dickerson. There is one particular line that sparked the idea for Jasinda Wilder to write this story - "You put a new heart beat inside of me".

The compelling blurb was one of the many reasons why I one-clicked this story without a second thought. I simply knew that I needed to read this book! I was expecting an emotional roller coaster of epic proportions. My heart was ready to be broken into million tiny little pieces. And OMG did this book make me feel. So freaking much it was hard to breathe. There were times I couldn't see the words on my kindle through all the tears. But it was so worth it. Jasinda has always been one of my favorite authors since I've read Falling Into You. This woman has a way with words like almost no other. Her writing is captivating, touching, vivid - it's simply flawless. With Yours her full talent shines through on each and every page.

Niall James lost her beloved husband Oliver in a tragic car accident. Since he was an organ donor parts of him have been used to help save other people's lives. To Niall Ollie was her whole world - her family, her lover, her friend. Now she has to face a life without the person who meant everything to her. How do you go on with your life after experiencing such a terrible loss? What should you do now? Where do you go? Niall feels lost and lonely. The spirit and energy that once made her an adventurous person are completely gone. She is in a state of emotional stagnation until the moment a handsome stranger comes suddenly into her life making her feel and desire things she thought she would never want again.

Lachlan - Lock - Montgomery is living on borrowed time. He was born with a congenital heart defect. Lock's doctors have predicted that he won't live past thirty. He therefore doesn't leave out any opportunity to live his life to the fullest. Lock is circumnavigating the world with his sailing ship indulging in lots of alcohol and meaningless sex. On his 31st birthday his heart finally gives out. When Lock wakes up months later there is a new one beating inside his chest. Given a second chance at life is so unexpected to him that he has no clue what to do with it. He needs to start over and find a purpose for his being on this earth. Meeting the beautiful widow of his organ donor will forever change his view on life and love.

Niall and Lock are two characters that will stay with you forever. Both have engraved themselves permanently on my heart. I can't emphasize enough how inspiring their strength was to me. I admired them for their courage, for the ability to cope with such challenging situations in their lives. I loved the sizzling chemistry between Niall and Lock. It was loaded with raw sexual attraction and something more both were too afraid and unwilling to acknowledge at the beginning. They found themselves in a difficult situation. Lock feeling survivor's guilt and Niall feeling like she is betraying her husband.

There were many beautiful and thought- provoking messages this talented author wanted to convey with this amazing story. The one that stood out the most for me was that the only true measure of a person is what they do with their life.

Yours is definitely going on my favorite reads of 2016 shelf. Jasinda once again put me under her spell with her fantastic writing and lovable characters. Grab this book and read it now! You are going to experience an unforgettable emotional journey. I promise you will not regret it!

'I was one in one-hundred billion
A burned out star in a galaxy
Just lost in the sky wondering why
Everyone else shines out but me
I came to life when I first kissed you
The best me has his arms around you
You make me better than I was before
Thank God I'm yours'

An all-consuming tale painted so beautifully with words, "Yours" is a book worth savouring, a gripping novel about love, loss and second chances. It will move you to tears and melt your heart. Jasinda Wilder is my always go-to author for dramatic and emotional reads but she has outdone herself with this incredible stand alone novel. It involves every emotion, including the not so pretty heartbreaking feelings of grief and pain juxtaposed with the amazing and sexual feelings of lust and love. The book starts out with a bang and I was instantly hooked. The first part of the read was setting up the characters, I enjoyed getting to know Niall and Lock and understanding how they would eventually change throughout the book. Niall is a nurse and she is married to the love of her life, Oliver. When her husband dies, her world is turned upside down and she just now only lives to exist. Lock is an interesting Hero, he’s dying because of his congenital heart defect which killed his father at 38 and his grand father and great grand father well before their time and because of that he is a dare devil. He jumps off cliffs, goes hangliding and lives life as if it’s his last day on earth. I found Lock very unique and different from what I would expect of a dying Hero. He struggles with knowing about his life expectancy span and because of this he hasn’t really amounted to anything. So we have a widow, Niall and Lock has a new heart, what is next? A lot of angsty, high tension, but intense romance. The dynamic between Niall and Lock is addictive to read and I couldn’t stop turning the pages to find out what happens. I love the sticky situation and I love how two broken people come together to find some peace or try to. "Yours" is, without a doubt, an all-consuming tale painted so beautifully it gives the reader a story to remember.

Yours was a contemporary read about second chances. Yours focused on Lachlan receiving Ollie's heart. Yours was about two characters finding purpose in life after being given a second chance at life.
Lachlan lived a dangerous and reckless life knowing he would not live past the age of thirty. Lachlan had a congenital heart defect. Lachlan was a thirty year old adrenaline junkie with a penchant for thrill seeking activities. Lachlan spent his time sailing around the world seeking dangerous adventures. Lachlan lived with the concept that he was going to die so why not not go out doing something he enjoyed.
Lachlan was given a second chance at life to find a new purpose. Lachlan gave up sailing and ventured for a road trip.

The time lapse of the story progressed at different intervals which was hard to follow at first. The story was told in Niall and Lachlan's POV. Although, it was difficult to establish whose perspective was being addressed without prior notification. The story contained some sexual situations. The story was a tad too wordy. Too many details. The story had too many step by step processes. The story explained the characters reasoning for certain actions which was unnecessary. The story was predictable. The concept drew me in but the delivery failed. I had a hard time connecting with both characters.
For a contemporary story I felt it lacked the emotional connection I needed. The characters seemed to go through the motions without processing their emotions. Niall's guilt over losing Ollie was difficult to believe since Ollie was mentioned minimally. Oliver's character was limited to his work as a doctor not much was developed in the form of his and Niall's love.

The premise of the story was a great concept except it fell short in its delivery. The idea of Lachlan receiving a donor heart was short changed when Niall kept feeling guilt towards Ollie. To much emphasis was placed on the importance of receiving Ollie's heart. This made Lachlan's characters step up his game by giving new purpose to his life. I felt his new purpose was more an extension of Ollie's purpose.

The sex scenes were not very contemporary. Too much talk about oral sex and naughty fantasies. It bordered on erotic. Again sex in the contemporary sense is an emotional connection. I struggled to fit this story into the contemporary category because I was at a loss for the emotional connection. Since Lachlan struggled with his emotions he used sex to express his emotions but was afraid to admit to those emotions.
All the pieces were laid out: heart transplant, Second chance, insta love, and donating time and money aiding people around the world. But the pieces never connected.

I listened to the audio version, so my review will reflect that as well.

First off, I really enjoyed the narrators. I thought they brought forth the characters personalities really well. Really tapped into their emotions, the anger, the love, even the sadness. They did a great job!

The story itself, I debated on a 3.5 or 4 star but ended up going with 4 stars because the concept of the story was great. Very well written even. Loch and Niall Had instant chemistry right away and while I am not opposed to that at all, I would like to have a little bit more development with them than just the instant attraction, especially since Niall had just lost the love of her life only 6 months before meeting Loch. Ollie was her everything, and she gave into lust pretty quickly after meeting Loch. Although she did keep thinking of Ollie when she was with Loch, which is quite understandable.

Their attraction exploded into some pretty hot and steamy parts!

Loch being given a second chance at life had also given Niall a second chance at life, at love again. She has no one else since her husband died. Her family doesn't have anything to do with her, basically disowned her. And Loch had lived his life as if he were going to die, and he was. He never fell in love, never let anyone close, doing whatever he wanted, sailing around the world since he was a trust fund baby. Out living life to the fullest, so when his feelings for Niall changed and became too much, he didn't know how to react. He ran, which is what he seems good at. Until a disaster hit and him and Niall are out helping people. It hit hard for Niall since that is what she used to do with her deceased husband, Ollie. And it hit Loch because he realized his life up to that point had been selfish, and he didn't think he deserved Niall and the second change he had been given.

The story is a sad one, I couldn't imagine being in Nialls shoes. But it wasn't the heartbreaking tale I was expecting. It was still a good story though. Although, I really wish we had gotten more at the end. After being separated for almost 2 years, when they meet again, it seemed to be an instant 'I love you and I wanna be with you'. The end. Seemed a little rushed and I really, really, would have loved an epilogue to show how they overcame some of the issues between them and moved on to get their happily ever after.

While already being a huge fan of Jasinda Wilder's writing capabilities and amazing stories, I am once again surprised and in awe of her books. Yours is more than you could imagine a book to be. It involves every emotion that most people go through in life, including the not so pretty and down and dirty feelings of grief and pain, and the amazing and sexual feelings of lust and love. The way that Jasinda molds her characters is beyond what words can explain. She makes you feel what her characters feel, and understand exactly what they are going through and why. She captivates you with the amazing way she writes her stories.
This book literally makes you FEEL. The characters have completely different backgrounds and experiences, they go through things that normal people go through every day, and also through things not everyone experiences.
She has no issue writing about pain and grief and bringing you to a time when you have felt those things and not sugar coating anything. She has such a way with words that you can literally picture what you are reading. This book is easily one of her best, and I say this now, knowing that she will indeed write another book that will be equal or blow this one away as well.
I anxiously await each of her book releases knowing that it will be captivating and go beyond where any other author I've read can go. If you haven't read even 1 of Jasinda's books, I suggest you get one now. You will be sure to go through her entire collection once you do. Phenomenal as always Jasinda.

From the very first chapter Jasinda Wilder’s words tugged tightly on every single one of my heartstrings which sure didn’t let up until the very end. “Yours” is a heartbreaking story about a woman who becomes a widow early on.

Niall is barely living after a fatal accident that claims her husband Ollie. She thought after losing him that there would never be anyone else in her life. But that all changes once she sees larger than life, playboy gazillionaire Lock Montgomery. Immediately after meeting, they find that they share this deep-seated connection.

What was intriguing about this situation was it was difficult to determine whether it was just a physical attraction, guilt perhaps, or maybe even an actual love that they were feeling. I loved how the Jasinda Wilder was able to factor in all of this in considering the circumstances.

What appreciated most about this couple was that even if it did start from something physical, they were able to take a step back and rebuilt a relationship starting from the basics. It took them months to get there which affected the pacing but for me, it was well worth the wait.

The bottom line is that “Yours” is a beautiful, well-written, emotional love story of acceptance, finding peace and an everlasting love. Definitely keep the tissues handy because this book will surely have your “eyes sweat”.

4 Second Chances, Beat with my Heart Stars

Yours is a gripping novel about love, lost and second chances. It will move you to tears and melt your heart to a puddle of goo and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Jasinda Wilder is my always go-to author for dramatic and emotional reads.

I was instantly hooked with the summary of this novel. It’s so different from any other book I’ve read and I just knew Yours would take me on a journey.

The book starts out with a bang and I was instantly hooked. I felt like the first part of the read was kind of setting up the characters. I really liked that. I liked getting to know Niall and Lock. I wanted to know what kind of characters I would be getting and how they would eventually change throughout the book.

Niall is a nurse and she is married to the love of her life, Oliver. When her husband dies, her world is turn upside down and she just now only lives to exist, nothing more and nothing less. She moves to a small town her husband is from to be closer to him.

I ached for Niall. I felt for her and I wanted to hold her tight and give her a big hug. We even get a glimpse of Oliver and Niall’s love story and after reading it, I was a weeping mess, but I loved it.

Lock is an interesting Hero. He’s dying because of his heart and because of that he is a dare devil. He jumps off of cliffs, goes hand gliding and lives life as if it’s his last day on earth. I found Lock very unique and different from what I would expect of a dying Hero. He’s a complicated rich man with a lot of issues. He struggles with knowing about his life expectancy span and because of this he hasn’t really amount to anything.

I had a love and hate relationship with Lock. At times I shook my head and questioned his actions, but I also sympathize for his situation. When he gets Oliver’s heart, everything changes and the book shifts.

So we have a widow, Niall and Lock has a new heart, what is next? A lot of angsty, high tension, but yummy romance. The dynamic between Niall and Lock is addictive to read and I couldn’t stop turning the pages to find out what happens. I love the sticky situation and I love how two broken people come together to find some peace or try to.

I love books like Yours because once you finish reading, you question life and take nothing for granted.

Lyrics from the the song "Yours" by Russell Dickerson that inspired the book Yours
'I was one in one-hundred billion
A burned out star in a galaxy

I came to life when I first kissed you
The best me has his arms around you
You make me better than I was before

This gorgeous, heart wrenching, poignant story of love and loss is such an amazing book! It follows a journey of love, tragedy and learning to lift yourself from the fog of loss to live and love again.

This amazing book took me on a tsunami of emotions. The ebb and flow of the pain, growth and love in this book is breathtaking! I laughed, cried and held my breath through this captivating journey that Niall and Lachlan endured and experienced. The writing is so precise and flawless that the author's talent effortlessly makes you feel like you are there experiencing the journey with the book's characters.

Niall James met the love of her life one day after a patient in her care tragically dies. Oliver is everything she could imagine wanting and more. They become inseparable as a surgeon/ nurse stream for Doctors Without Borders.

A tragic car accident ends their journey together. He is an organ donor and his death is able to save other people's lives. Niall knows that he was such a giving, caring person and would want others to benefit from his gift of life. The question for her is where is life for her in the face of being without him? She feels hopeless and is merely existing and not living until she meets a handsome stranger.

Lachlan Montgomery, Lock as he goes by, is living with a congenital heart defect not expecting to live very long. He doesn't expect to live past thirty and chooses to sail the world and take great risks. On his thirty-first birthday he pushes himself too far and his heart stops. After several months of being kept alive in a coma and on machines he receives a new heart. One that was never expected due to his rare blood type and large sized heart that was needed. After his recovery and rehab he searches for a new purpose in life. That search draws him to meeting Niall. He is captivated by her beauty and spirit from their first meeting.

Niall and Lock are two characters that have such depth and passion. They will be ingrained in me forever! There journey and destination are inspiring. Their strength and courage in the face of tragedy is awe inspiring. Their chemistry and attraction sizzles off of the pages. Their biggest obstacle is that they are both suffering from survivors guilt and Niall feels like loving another is the ultimate betrayal to Oliver. Lock is struggling to find his purpose in life that will be his true measure. Until he finds it he feels unworthy or Niall's love. Will his journey lead him back to her?

One click Yours to experience their journey and to see if it leads them to each other in the end.

When Jasinda released the blurb for Yours, I was already hooked. Yeah, sure, I am hooked to whatever she is writing. Ha!
This book was unlike any book I have ever read before. It is a true second-chance romance! There were times while reading this book that I just had to put it down and breath for a few minutes. To truly soak in what I was reading. To catch my breath and dry my tears.
Niall James had it all. She was traveling the world working side by side with the love of her life Oliver. Then, in an instant, all of that was torn away from her and she was lost. Lachlan Montgomery is exactly what you expect from a multi-million dollar playboy. He lives off his family's money, he refuses long-term relationships. However, he's also living his life to its fullest because he could die at any moment.
I won't go into how these two meet and what happens because that is for YOU to experience on your own. Trust me, this book takes you to places no other book has ever taken you before. It is definitely in the top 5 of my favorite books of 2016!

This was a pretty good read. The beginning started out strong. 2 different people leading different lives until tragedy happens and one sought out the other. There's a lot of emotional push and pull, a lot of doubt if Loch believes he's good enough for Niall. Niall was really a angry and bitchy person and secluded herself, not wanting to be found. Lock was reckless and lived a date devil life without a care in the world because he thought he didn't have much time left, until he laid eyes on her. There were some slow parts, but I really like their story.

Jasinda delivered an intense and emotional story of love, loss, and searching for purpose in ones life. Niall having lost the love of her life was just surviving day by day until a stranger being Lock just happened to come along one day. He sit her world at a tilt in more than one way, they seem to have a strong connection. After telling Niall that he was given her late husbands heart and going thru a serious disaster together Lock left her to become the man that she deserves. He sits off to do that and he does it big and I absolutely loved this part of the story!! They are reunited and realize they still have feeling for each other but they each have their work but decide they will do what it takes to be together. I do wish there would have been an epilogue a little into the future. Added note I really loved the turn around that his Mom took, and oh LOVED Utah and the love that Lock gave her!!

This was an incredibly beautiful read that was so emotional to read. There were so many moments that if let myself tear up for characters within the story for the pain that they were going through. Yours was a complete different type of love story and it was such an emotional read that I completely loved and adored reading. Yours is about second chance love, lost and finding yourself. The main characters I loved so much and I hurt for them so much when they were hurt. There was so much enthuse book that I loved and it took me on a roller coaster of emotions. I not want to give any spoilers away for it, so I suggest everyone to one click this book because it is an incredible read..

Yours is an amazing story of love lost, the roller coaster of emotions that come with a loss so sudden. Watching your world as you knew it crumble before your eyes. All your hopes and dreams slip away as you watch the one you love take their last breath.

Yours touched a part of my soul. Emotions from long ago came flooding back. Despite the 17 years that have passed since my own husband died before my eyes while we were dancing at a friends wedding.

The fear and guilt you feel as your attracted to someone new. The part of your heart that never forgets but learns to let go and take a chance on love again.

Yours has it all. I laughed, I cried, I cursed, and cheered.

A must read for all those who have loved and lost, and loved again.

Incredible story of second chances in more ways than one. Amazing story of Niall who has just lost her husband Oliver and he was pretty much all she had in this world. Lock has been just living life with no direction since he graduated high school doing anything for an adrenaline rush living on a deadline hoping to live to 31. Born with the same heart defect that took his father, grandfather and great grandfather he didn't want to waste his time being ordinary. I've read a few books where one person seeks out another after an organ donation. This was an intense story as we read the details of a major disaster. I love second chances.

This was a very emotional book. In the beginning, I wasn't sure if I was going to like Lock. He definitely seemed like a playboy with money and then you see everything he goes through.

Ollie and Niall have a great relationship and it seems so sad when everything happens. They did so much for people. This just goes to show you that life can change in an instant. This is true for all three of them.

It seems like a chance meeting. There are so many things that could have been said and things that should be different. This was a different type of story and I enjoyed it because it had me wanting to see what would happen next.
