While well written and crafted, this story was predictable. I think it has many winning pieces to it, but the combination was lost due to the unfolding of foreseeable events. Readers of the 21st century don't need another version of the same old. We need new inspiration. The story was entertaining, but this reader wants something more inspiring than the Disney Channel predictability.

A spell binding journey when past meets present in this ghost story. Just the right amount of Romantic interest. This story takes place in Scotland, with the main characters being teenagers present and past with a house keeper and medium of sorts. Delightful book, enjoyed the story.

This book was definitely better than I expected. I am really not a fan of ghost stories, but this is one of the better ones. It was suspenseful but romantic and terrifying all at the same time! Ghost stories often scare me to death,(if you know me, you know the books that I read!) but fortunately, this one didn't. All in all, this is a great read whether your a ghost story fanatic or not.

The story was cute. Honestly, I thought there could have been something more to the story other than constant threats. I was a little bored by the third one. The love story was adorable and for a free book I can't and won't complain too much. Younger readers will probably love this.

I thought this was a very well done story. Interesting and intriguing. A little like The Woman in Black, except the mean spirit is much younger. Still, it was put together well and I am glad that the story continues, because I am not quite ready to let go of the characters.

This is a great book but the main character, Riely, is put in some situations that involved alcohol, drugs, and cutting. I would recomend it to people age 16+. In the story Riely is trying to help the ghost, Ian, move on to the after life. Before doing this they have to take care of Ians jealous killer. I enjoyed this book and couldnt wait for the next book. It is such a great set of books. (Their are three books.)

Riley had powers that could work when ghost were around. This started to occur after the car accident that killed her mom. She sees ghosts. She met Ian who is a ghost and who is cursed and helps him to get to the other side.

Full of interesting action & drama. Not at all what you would expect from the title, & not the average run of the mill book. I started this book & couldn't put it down. Right away I was drawn into the story, enjoying every word. I recommend this book to everyone of all ages.

This is such an amazing book. I literally finished it in one day, which is very unusual for me. It's a book full of love, excitement, and an unusual thrill. I can honestly say I've never read a book like this. Even though the idea of a girl seeing ghosts and falling in love with one is so absurd, something I normally wouldn't read, I was enthralled from they first page. And it definitely helps that the author makes it feel so real.

No dull spots, real page turner...was addicted to the series very quickly and read all three in a row...! I like how the author writes this in every day language and makes the characters down to Earth...I could easily relate and connect to the main character...love the romantic touches as well.

I was intrigued by the reviews and descriptions of this book, but hesitated to start it. Soooooo glad I started because once I did, I didn't stop. I was terrified at parts and jumpy to the slightest sound in my house, to heartbroken, to giddy as a school girl! I am starting book #2 immediately! Well done! Very glad i found this book!

My daughter actually wanted this book, but being the great mom that I am I decided to read it first to see if it was acceptable. It was that and more! I couldnt stop reading it and couldnt wait to get my hands on the others!! Great concept, execution of the plot flowed from one book to another! A 100% MUST READ!!!

This book was outside of my normal genres. I loved every page every paragraph, every word. It was such a fast pace read and I honestly never wanted to put it down. I won't give anything away, but just know that I am starting the next book already. Amazing novel!

I really enjoyed this book, though it wasn't what I thought it would be. I had been looking for books about cutting and the main character Riley, suffers from cutting to some degree. In whole, this book is more about ghosts and after life. I thought it was a good read. I had a difficult time putting it down.

Reading a story is like a chess game sometimes. You reach a point in the plot where you think "wow, there's no positive way out of this one". That is when authors prove themselves by pulling that unexpected checkmate that you'd've never saw coming. That is truly a skill possessed by the keenest of minds. J. A. Templeton has graced us with a tastefully written tale of impossible love, tension, and fright with the promise of more. I cannot wait to read her other works and expect to be once again captivated by her skills.

I love paranormal novels. Of all kinds. I must say this is by far the best YA I have read. I loved the way the story flows. The characters are real. Her look on young issues are very real. I am very much looking forward to the next book.

I liked how the author could capture the love and depressing ways that people like me and others like me deal and grieve in different ways like self harm because of the lost of a loved one or someone you care about leaves nothing but a broken heart

The storyline was easy to follow. Several parts, excellent allowing the reader to live in story. However, I feel like a teenager would more so enjoy the read as it is more relatable to them. Numerous phrases repeated throughout the book causing slight irritation at seeing the exact words over and again. Even so, I would recommend this book to the right target audience.

While I enjoyed this book, I had to suspend belief because I didn't think ghosts could hug and kiss people since they are made up of spirit rather than a body... other than that this book held my attention and was a quick read.

Before getting my Kindle I had never heard of this author. Glad I did as I now have a new favorite author.
Although I wouldn't normally grab a book based on 'ghosts' I admit this book had me hooked from the very first page!
