I have enjoyed this series. Haven't finished this book yet. Just wanted to point out that, about 25% through the book, I noticed the words "pedal, pedaled, pedaling" used about 4 times. The word should have been "paddle, paddled, paddling". :)

I mistakenly thought she would be similar to more experienced authors. She REPEATS the stories for several chapters in the front of each of these 5 books, she belabors the stories and then she stops and wastes time at the end telling you about other authors, books and takes up another 20 or so pages. It was a total waste of money and time. These could easily be put in 2 books, condensed to something for a high schooler to read. This is NOT ADULT level reading. I read 4 or 5 books a week, keep many of my kindle and got these only because they were cheap and still wasted my dollars. The stories are very simple and juvenile.

I quite enjoy most Amish fiction, but did not like this one. Almost from the start Rose is extremely foward for an unmarried Amish woman. Noah also seems to go against important rules of the Ordung (?). I understand that is part of the story and attraction for each other. It's also probably true of some Amish in real life, but it caught me off guard and distracted me through the whole book. The writing seems uneven and choppy,as if the author is running out of ideas or something. I was glad to be finished with this book. I still have one more in this series. If it is not better, i doubt I will read anything else by this suthor.
