Review:Thoughtful work. Almost enough to make me an optimist. At some level, I'm one who feels guilt when I come up against this crucible. And when I decide that leaders fell short some frustration is added to the guilt. The Givens gently remind me that neither me nor church leaders will ever be free from error nor expected to be. It is worth it to realize that God loves us enough to give us refuge from the storms we create ourselves. And the Church itself, they remind us, has come to own some of ... Read more

Review:What an easy way to read about what we have lost from the ways and skills of the last generations. I loved to read about things they did regularly that I had no idea of. This gave me a better perspective of how pioneers lived and survived from year to year in a deliteful narrative. Read more
Review:Besides being another thrilling western story by Zane Grey, this one delves into the intricacies of the Mormon cult and the problems it creates in peoples lives. Although the story is fiction, it is good historical fiction and I have recommended it to many friends. Read more
Review:This review is in conjunction with For Calvinism by Michael Horton.

Review:Absolutely the best book I've ever read! One you will want to reread and refer back to many times. I am amazed at how we forget who we are to God and our absolute rights we have as Christians. We could truly change the world if believers would truly walk in this truth. I always give a book to family memebers each Christmas and this will be the one for this year. Great book! Read more

Review:The book is nothing like I expected. His devotional book with the same title is great. I read it first, and expected the book to be more like that. It was not enjoyable to read and often had to feel embarrassed as I read it on my Kindle at the fitness club...and see the person next to me reading the sexual scenes as well. Little Christian, a lot of secular. Sorry I paid for this book. Read more
