This book had only two punctuation errors that I found. The plot was great. I have to give a warning though, it sine for the faint of heart. This book does have several spots that refers to rape and violence.
Marek and Sully's story starts with him kidnapping her from another abusive club. For him she is a pawn in a game between the two clubs, but eventually he grows to love her. Sully sees Marek as her savior and soon realizes she doesn't want to be without him. Great read and I recommend.

What a great story with really great characters! Yes it's dark and some of the scenes are shocking, but it also has strong characters who have some much strength you are amazed they can stand! Not quite a HEA, so hope there is another story for Cole and Sully!

Wow Cole Marek is an intense man, strong willed and in his own way compassionate. The war between the KC and The Savage Reapers is brewing. Marek wants it all to end and just wants to run his club with no drama, no more war, just him and the guys living an honest life. Things don't go as planned for him though... one woman.... Sully manages to seep into his head. Trying to deal with the new feelings he has goin on in his head and hunting down The Savage Reapers, he can't think straight. Things get out of control and he has to fix it. This was action, passion, love and hate all rolled into an amazing story.

I would have given this five stars, but the ending of the book didn't sit right with me. *possible spoilers* There was a total lack of details with Sully's kidnapping. It should have been from her point of view. What the heck happened? How did the ring get found? She was found, then it skips to two weeks later and we never got any answers. I also don't like that there were unanswered questions that are going to be covered in the next book, which is Stone's. It felt like Marek and Sully's story isn't finished and I would like to see things concluded with them, not as side characters in someone else's story. And since the unfinished business is with Sully's father and the slimy guy from the cartel who assaulted her early in the book, it bothers me that it won't have the same effect being told not from the main characters point of view. Stone and Adelaide' points of view won't carry the same weight. Up until the end, the writing was good and it kept my attention, although did he really need to hook up with someone on his run? I felt that was unnecessary. I'd give this 3.5 stars. Like I said, it would have been a five star, but the ending really bothered me.

Sully had endured hell in her young life, what she first believed to be love quickly turned to torture and she longed for a quick death to be released from her torment. And when she is kidnaped by a rival club, Sully never dreamed she would find her salvation.
Marek has found his prize, and she seems terrified, pale, thin, she awaits to be struck but is feisty, Marek is fascinated by the beauty, he’s not going to have any special feelings for her, he’s decided, just take care of her. But things change.
The journey ahead for Marek and Sully is a bumpy road. Sully finally comes clean and tells Marek the torture she had to endure....it’s an horrific story. And Marek has own personality issues to control.
It’s an intense story, with very dark, violent story lines towards women that some may find to much. That saying, it was a well written story with emotion and drama that certainly has the reader hooked. I really liked it!

Marek (Knights Corruption MC1) by S.Nelson
Please note this book does come with a trigger note warning.
As I have said millions of times before, I love MC books. I love these rough riders who make no apology for the lives they live. Marek, is definitely a man who makes no apologies even when he is wrong. Cole Marek is the president to the Knights Corruption MC and what he says is rule. He is trying his best to get his club away from illegal activities but when the opposition Savage Reapers keeps testing his will and hurting his members, it is time to retaliate. Sully is the rival Presidents daughter and is owned by Vex who is known for his scary ways. Sully has not had an easy life. What she has endured is horrible and tragic. She had never felt loved and has to do what is said of her to survive. When the rival MC kidnap her she believes her life will become worse. What she does not expect, is the kindness that is shown, and for the first time in her life, being able to make friends. When Marek decides her future, she is not impressed with him, although she cannot deny her attraction to him. Marek is patient to a degree, but somehow always seems to say the wrong things. Even while knowing, that he is being a jerk. He notices the marks on her body and vows to avenge those and to seek justice for her. Can Sully trust Marek or is he a demon in sheep’s clothing? By taking Sully, has this opened up a can of worms for Marek and his club? I have some conflicting feelings about this story. In the beginning there was a scene with a DEA agent and I thought this would have some further play in the story but nothing came of it. Also Sully was a woman who had been abused and she was subservient due to it, until she was taken. Then all of a sudden she developed a back bone. This, I personally felt was a bit off, as I would have thought someone who had endured what she had been through, would have been more scared and timid. However the story still had loads to keep me entertained and the author has a unique perspective and voice when writing her story. There was plenty of suspense and rising climax to keep me entertained and the story had loads to divulge. There were some parts that were tough to read and I thought the blow back would have been worse. The connection between Sully and Marek was not your normal romance. We are also introduced to secondary characters, which I am sure will get their own story. Overall I have enjoyed this new series and look forward to reading more.

First off, just like S. Nelson says at the beginning of the book: Not for the faint of heart. There is some very graphic depictions of various acts of violence depicted throughout Marek.

Secondly, I am thoroughly impressed. S. Nelson does a fabulous job, considering the subject matter included. I, for one, am not normally a huge fan of dark romance or graphic violence. But I very much liked Marek and look forward to the second installment, Stone.

Told in dual POV, alternating between Sully Brooks and Cole Marek, Marek is not a novel to begin when you don't have the time dedicated to sit and go through the entire work in one sitting. It's compelling, and intriguing, and completely captivating. While you always root for Sully, no matter who she's up against, or how she's proven that her lot in life hasn't entirely broken her spirit, I always rooted for Marek too. Even when the light shed on him makes him look just as shady and terrible as his enemies. And even when he looks like the ultimate bad guy in Sully's eyes.

Marek is a story you will devour, and savor, and reflect on. Not to be missed, especially if you like dark romances, MC romances, or modern day variations of the ever-beloved Romeo & Juliet. Go check out this first installment in the Knight's Corruption MC series, and we can all pine for Stone's story together.

** Sully has lived within the walls of the Savage Reapers clubhouse, being abused both physically and mentally by her father, Psych, the President of the Savage Reapers. At the age of 14, she was given to Vex as his Old Lady. While she originally had a crush on him, his abuse is even worse than her father's and she just strives to stay under their radar. She expects she'll die there, until the day the Knights Corruption MC storms the clubhouse and takes her as their prize.

Marek decides that in order to really stick it to the Savage Reapers he's going to take their Princess... and marry her. Thus begins the saga of the war between the Savage Reapers and the Knights Corruption MCs, so that the Knights Corruption can extricate themselves from their illegal activities and become a completely legal club.

When an author gives a disclaimer about dark subject matter you should always take them at face value. Some of the abuse that Sully has survived is horrific, and you really find yourself bleeding for both she and Marek as they struggle through their pasts in order to find a future together.

While there is a lot of violence and abuse, I still highly recommend this read!

Absolutely Amazing! S. Nelson is an amazing writer. I have been with her from the beginning and her books just keep getting better. And Marek is Excellent. I couldn't stop reading once I started. Cole Marek is the President of The Knights Corruption Motorcycle Club, he is trying to make his club legit but before he does he has a score to settle with the rival gang The Savage Reapers. So when he goes after them he thought the biggest "F-YOU" would be to steal the presidents Daughter Sully. There are rumers that she is absolutely beautiful but she is kept in the shadows. Sully has had a very hard life. Things happened to her you couldn't imagine having done to you. Horrible and unspeakable things. There was no way out for her.

Once Marek has her he starts feeling Things. He is protective of her.She has been hurt badly. Scares line her body. What has she been through? This was supposed to be a punch in the gut to their rivals but Sully is a game changer. This wasn't supposed to happen this way.

Sully is scared, and not sure how to take the MC rival gang. She has heard so many stories but none seem to be the club that kidnapped her. She starts feeling that this might be fate working finally in her favor or is it? She doesn't know what to think about Marek but the attraction is almost to much. This is forbidden. She could never return to her club but does she want to? Her club is nothing like this one. Come find out what happens To Marek and Sully .

This is definitely a must read and recommended for 18 plus. Also I would like to mention there are adult situations that are hard to read about.

My Review of Marek (Knights Corruption MC Series, #1) by S. Nelson
My Rating 4.5 Stars
Let me tell you, this was an unexpected treasure for an MC read. The author is new to me as I’ve never read anything by her before, but damn she can write an intriguing story. Cole Marek the President of The Knights Corruption Motorcycle Club who has been trying to get his club running legit, but there is one thing left to make right and that’s to take out The Savage Angels and when his club are doing just that they come upon Sulley the Presidents princess, only this princess has survived some gruesome acts made upon her by her and the brothers of the Savage Angels.
Sulley and Cole’s story is intense and graphic. Sulley is a strong woman who has endured pain and suffering and Cole is one badass that fights for his own and Sulley just may fit the bill.
This story swallowed me the entire time I was reading, I’m not sure I came up for air it was a page turner and one I read cover to cover. The grit and angst that I love about a good biker book is all in one with this new series, and I’m left with wanting the next book.

I fell head over heart for Marek. This sexy biker man who wants so much to change things for his MC. To bring them into the better. Circumstances aren't going to let that be an easy road. So when they have to retaliate against another rival MC, he had no idea what taking Sully would mean especially to his heart. Poor Sully had been through so much that my heart ached for her. I loved that Marek taking her wasn't part of that nightmare, but her salvation. These two are scorching hot together and I loved their story.

This is the first book in the Knights Corruption MC series, and it is Marek and Sully's story.

Warning-this book contains graphic scenes that may be disturbing to some

Sully is a beautiful young woman who has been raised in the biker life. However, the bikers she is forced to be around aren't the type who view their women as something precious. They see them as property and treat them as such. After being abused by her horrid father, she is given to Vex, one of her father's club brothers. Vex is the definition of evil, and he puts Sully through hell. Just when she has resigned herself to a life filled with torture, Marek show up. Marek is the president of a rival club, and his plan is to take Sully as revenge. He has no idea that his captive is about to change his life in ways he never imagined.

This is a story of two rival MC's. One is evil while the other is trying to clean up their act and go legit. While I thought Marek was a great hero, there were times when I wanted to smack him upside the head. He made me so mad when he knew he was being a jerk but refused to apologize. And Sully? She was the definition of a strong woman. Most people wouldn't survive the hell she went though, and if they did, they would probably end up rocking back and forth in a padded room somewhere.

Overall, this was just an okay read for me. The graphic violence was a little too much for me. Of course, that is just my opinion, and others might not feel the same. I recommend reading it for yourself and forming your opinion.

What a refreshing change to the same old MC romance. This was not like most MC book. It wasn't instant love. It was worked for. Marek and Sully are wonderful characters. Marek is badass to the core, alpha, loyal, devited, and president of Knights Corruption . He isn't looking for love, in fact he has no emotion when it comes to women. He uses them like they use him. Sully has been abused mentally and physically all her life. She is the daughter of the president of Savage Reapers. They are enemies of Knight Corruption. Marie want to make is club legit but to do that he need to take care of some things. An one of those is the Savage Reapers. He takes Sully from the Savage Reapers, which is one of the worst things to happen to a club. But Marek has a reaction to Sully he is not sure what to do with. Sully should be scared of Marek but isn't. Will Marek give in to what he feels? Can Sully trust Marek? Will Sully acknowledge the feelings she has for Marek? I was given an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Oh how I have conflicting feelings about this story! I really, truly loved it; don't get me wrong, but there were many things that irked me as well. This was my first book from this author and from the first page I fell in love with her writing style. It was very down to earth and comfortable. I loved her characters; they spoke to me on a level that I truly understood them to their core. They story line itself had all the basic necessities that I look for in an MC book/series: gruff men who make no qualms about the way they are, strong women who have been beaten down in some way or another and have risen from the ashes, love that isn't easy but so worth it, and side characters that become as integral to the story as the main ones. This is what attracts me to a MC book, and this one didn't disappoint in the least. I loved the passion that Marek had for his brothers and his club; I loved the lengths he would go to for them, and bully if anyone got in his way. I loved Sully's unwillingness to give up and give into the darkness surrounding her every move. I loved her ability to portray such a rawness and vulnerability and eventually trust that Marek would be there for her in every way.

But darn, I go so annoyed with him acting like a major turd and not apologizing for it, especially when he admitted to himself that he knew he was in the wrong. Nut no, big macho man, leader of the MC, far be it for him to apologize. I hated the way he acted with his over the top jealousy, denying her friends because his ego couldn't handle it. He clearly knew from the beginning that horrific things had been done to her and then for him to just play to her fears really made me mad and disappointed in him. Especially after the scene where he berates her for not sleeping with him. Dude...after everything she told you that was done to her and THAT's how you come at her?! Nuh uh. I wish we'd had more chapters of them being happy together, rather than just getting settled into everything. I feel like we went from the beginning of scared and fumbling to finality and love in the blink of an eye. It was as if some of the middle stuff, which is usually the best part, was skimmed over. And even though I know this is the first book in a new series, I hate that some things weren't really wrapped up. There was a certain cartel member that did something in the beginning and I thought surely something would come from that once they found out what he did to her. But from the ending, I feel like that might come to fruition eventually. But because this was Marek and Sully's book and that event was tied to her, I feel like it should have played out here, as well as dealing with another character. I also felt like we really didn't get to know Marek as a character, past his super jealousy and inability to speak with a filter.

But again, like I said in the beginning, I really did love this story. I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for when future books are released and can't wait to see where we are taken next!

Thank you so much Enticing Journey Book Promotions for sending me an ARC of this book! I’m very honored and being able to receive a book to read/review means a great deal to me! :D

Happy Release Day Ms. Nelson!! I’m still a little speechless after finishing this book. Wow, what a roller-coaster ride of a story!! I had no clue what to expect going into this one but it flat out surprised me with how dark and gritty it was. I loved it even though many of the situations involving abuse and rape were hard to stomach at times it didn’t take away from how incredible this read was!

I’m a huge fan of MC books so when i read the blurb for this one i was hook, line, and sinker. All of the characters names were so unique! Ms. Nelson creates such a dark world but with much hope and determination throughout. Her writing was fantastic and i’m so looking forward to reading Stone’s book after that gut wrenching ending!! Well played Ms. Nelson, well played. I’m definitely looking forward to picking up more of her work very soon! :)

Sully Brooks was a character that went through hell and back time and time again. I wanted to reach into the book and take her away from the world that had caused her so much anguish. She had shut down mentally to deal with everyday life and it made me happy to see her become more open as well as alive during the progression of the story. I’m glad that Cole dug beneath the surface and got to the bottom of what happened to her.

It was nice to finally see her care for someone and be cared for. Her friendship with Adelaide was so sweet and it was nice how she took Sully under her wing to make sure she was alright. No one should ever have endure what she had to and i hope in the second book everyone gets what they deserve.

Cole Marek was a character that acted very arrogant and truthfully i didn’t think i’d like him but being able to read his point of view changed my mind. Being the President (Prez) of the MC Knights Corruption he didn’t take crap from anyone and with every word he spoke he meant business. Even though what he did that led him to meeting Sully was under the wrong circumstances i think he justified himself later on.

He was a saving grace of sorts without even knowing it and that made me adore him more. Cole was sexy and hard headed which leads to him being one hell of an alpha male character. I liked that through getting to know Sully even more it broke a barrier he’d had up for years and didn’t even realize she’d been holding the sledgehammer on her way to his heart.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a darker MC read that has a lot of hope and gore in it. I still have a book hangover from this one and June can’t come fast enough!! One-click this bad boy today! I promise you won’t regret it and you will be thinking S. Nelson is an evil genius by the end! I sure hope we get to see more of Jagger in book 2 because i loved him tons and finding out how he got his name was so cool that it pretty much sealed the deal with my infatuation with him! 5 Stars all around!! :)

Everyone needs to put this on their list to read. S. Nelson's stories are always my favorite to read. The love story between Sully and Marek is not your typical one, but I loved it. This is a darker storyline for this author, but I liked it very much. I can't wait for thr next one already.

When I read these books I expect great sex scenes and violence. What I didn't expect was a story wrought with pain, emotion and pure triumph over suffering. The human soul can take on so much more than we understand. This book showed that. Great read. Cannot wait for the next one in the series.

When Marek takes Sully a rivals MC's presidents daughter he doesn't realize the he is really saving her from an atrious life where she would rather be dead. A father who sees her nothing but a chess piece and a man who used her as nothing other than a toy, Marek is someone she wants to trust but after all she has known her entire life is pain and punishment how can she believe a man she thinks is too good to be true. Wow! This story is such a journey of pain to love and back again. I love Sully and Marek. I have fallen in love with all the alpha MC bad boys of the Knights Corruption MC. Great read and amazing characters.

This has gritty situations but loyal, good brothers in an MC fighting scum of the earth MC. The violence described toward the female lead was too much and hard to believe she. Survived all the abuse and knife wounds. The story was good and would have been five stars if the abuse was lessened.

Cole aka Marek was so protective right from the beginning. How could you not love a man who would step right in an take care of someone in need. This book was a gritty and hard to take at times but the story is worth reading.

Marek is the president, of Knights Corruption MC, he inherited it from his father. He is attempting to make the MC business legit, getting rid of the illegal stuff. Before he does that he has to take care of business with the Savage Reapers, the epitome of true corrupted evil MC. The revenge Marek is going to extract on the Savage Reapers, and taking down all in his way, while doing it. Then he finds the Savage Reapers president's daughter, the princess of the Savage Reapers.....

I liked this story, even though it has a lot of hard subjects. The characters were well written and the discription of Sully's life growing up in the Savage Reapers MC was harsh and a necessary part to the story.

This is not a safe read story. There are harsh violent parts that could be triggors to some readers.

This is my first time reading a S. Nelson story and I can't wait for the next one. Stone, is to be released 6/29/16.
