Badly written, childish rubbish, a 12 year old could've written better. The story was shallow & boring, nothing much really happened throughout the book, the characters were unbelievable & their conversations with eachother were cringe worthy, the author seemed more concerned with describing the stupid outfits the main character wore than anything else, which were irrelevent to thee story, I found myself rolling my eyes many times at the mundane conversations that went on. A complete waste of my time.

Such a good book!!! Most definitely going to read the rest of Carolyn Brown books!!!! This was so good. I can't imagine time back then but she was lucky and fate still helped her out and brought her first love back!!!!

I was disappointed in this book. I ended up skimming through it hoping that it would be not what I expected, maybe an interesting twist in the plot?, etc....but no such luck. Dialogue was shallow, character development was lacking. Would probably not read any more by this author.

I totally enjoyed reading The Dove because it was an 'easy' read.
I was able to put it down (but couldn't wait to resume reading).
It kept me engrossed and I was sorry to see it end.
Very enjoyable book!

Superficial, predictable story. Author needed to be a little more informed about the historical period she was writing about. She should have done just a little research. Situations she invented were VERY unlikely for the times

Carolyn Brown continues to be a favorite. Her characters are vibrant and believable. I enjoy how she weaves amazing love scenes without the sex. Carolyn reminds us that love can be beautiful in itself. Thank you Carolyn. Keep them coming!
