I found the abundance of grammatical errors extremely distracting, which resulted in excessive highlighting and correcting. I might have been able to overlook that had the female character, Meg, not been a complete abomination. She was absolutely horrific. I am not sure if she was bipolar, unstable, or just needed to be committed, but she was an absolute walking contradiction and how she behaved was inconsistent with her situation. Her moods were up and down, she was a constant bitch, and completely unlikable. I found myself hoping that Miles just left her. Nothing about how they got together and what transpired made any sense at all. The entire relationship, which was coming from a virgin / Rockstar standpoint, was a complete contradiction and a conundrum. I actually didn't believe any of it. The premise was not even remotely plausible for me. I didn't dislike Miles, quite the contrary. I actually liked his character and found it more consistent than Meg's. I will also say that my favorite part of this book was the secondary characters in the band. I found each one had a distinct personality that I could look forward to reading about, particularly Tom. He seemed to have quite a backstory to warrant his demeanor, but each one seems intriguing in their own right.

Despite liking the band and Miles, I really could not get into this book and didn't really understand the path that it took. It did not make any sense, it was not very plausible, and it was absolutely inconsistent.

Overall, a one-star read for me.

Absolute rubbish! There is no story to tie these people together. The chemistry is mediocre. Why did she write 5 of these?!? The writing is repetitve and unoriginal. I kept thinking that there was another series, very similar to this one. Done much better, though. Read the Bleeding Stars novels from AL Jackson instead. They're so much better!

This book Sucked. Capital "S" Sucked. It was so frustrating. Not only did it move along at a snail's pace but the characters were incredibly underdeveloped and so, so annoying. To the point where I skipped part after part, realizing that the book, in its entirety, just sucks. Epically. Spare yourself the torture of trying to swallow this horse pill of a book. If I could give this zero stars, I would. That's two hours of my life that I'll never get back.

Possible spoilers, I don't know. Depends on your definition.

This book could have been amazing, 5 star worthy. I want to say, I am the gooey, romance type of girl. Especially combined with an irredeemable rock star.

But this book is like 75% sex scenes, and at least half of those are not needed to get the story across. Plus the grammar, incorrect spelling (which here and there I can deal, but did anyone even edit this?) and she would say one thing then contradict it a paragraph later. The girl's panties would be to her knees yet she would magically straddle him in the next move.

Details are everything. She paid attention to the wrong details. The sex scenes were graphic, he bit her neck so many damn times she should be bleeding, but yet the important details were thrown by the wayside.

The plot itself was tacked towards the last like 20% of the story as an afterthought almost.

I rarely write reviews, but as an aspiring writer and one who does post her fanfics for reviews and I get GOOD reviews, I know I could do better and have done better than this. So when people like this get published, it irks me to no extent.

In order to get through this you have to like reading a TON of sex scenes. It had such a possibility to be good, but it was went about ALL wrong.

UPDATE 10/8/17: I meant to post this sooner. I read the rest of the books in this series thinking maybe it'll get better. They follow the same exact disaster as this book.

This is such a disappointment. Meg acts like brat, treats Miles like a worthless human. Meg is a virgin with a total attitude. Miles is the famous rock star. Both agree to not fall in love or have "feelings" for each other. Which fails! The story it self reads more like a YA with sex added in. Not worth finishing the series.

Although the ages of the characters are in their mid-twenties, I would consider this book as being written for an older teen. The plot is cover to cover sex and angst; that's it. It is really the same scene over and over throughout, only with slight variations on where the sex it taking place. Speaking of sex, it is all just a little too unbelievable for me. Of course we have the proverbial virgin, who of course has orgasms her first time out the door. To speculate that this is not exactly the norm makes me chuckle; but hey, it's fiction right. The other thing that is totally unrealistic is the fact that she never had to clean up afterwards, and yes, it's no big plot give away to say that they rode bareback. How nice to feel the guy shooting (to keep the review clean) inside you and be able to immediately put all your clothes back on, panties included when they were still around; occasionally the guy does engage in some basic hygiene.

The sex is not that hot, it's about the same in every scene, the angst gets boring really fast, and that about sums up the book.

It's what I call a waiting room read, you can start it anyplace where you have to kill some time and pick it up again days, weeks, or even months later and quickly realize that you haven't missed a thing, and you haven't missed it.

Meg is a pre med student who lost someone recently and she’s struggling with that loss and the overwhelming guilt. She is a hard working student, has a little trouble connecting with her parents and she is a sweet girl. She goes to a party, where she is supposed to meet Kara, her best friend, and she runs into Miles while looking for a bathroom. How they meet is probably the most hilarious scene in the book.

Miles is a rock star. As in sexy, tattooed, tortured soul who is the Sinful Serenade lead singer and song writer. I have to say Miles surprised me, I don’t really see him as tortured, I think he often acts as the perfect guy but he struggles with some issues, tortured is a heavy word for it.

They have an instant connection and that kind of bugged me, it just felt a little rushed. That aside, I really liked how Meg tells him that nothing is going to happen between them, as soon as Miles is flirting with her, even though it didn’t take much to change her mind. Meg is desperate to fill the void inside and the insane attraction between them is obviously impossible to resist. Both of them are way too raw to dive in a relationship, but since Meg is a virgin, they also rule out a one night stand, so Meg states her terms for their friends with benefits relationship.

Miles is a little harder to understand than Meg, but the author shows perfectly that at some point even Miles doesn’t understand what he’s doing, he just can’t stay away from Meg and he doesn’t know how to handle his feelings. I think the last piece of the puzzle (when Meg finds out what Miles is hiding from her) fits perfectly, he obviously struggles with feeling too much and that last piece totally explains it.

I really enjoyed this book, sometimes I wanted more details, more Kara and more of the other band members, but it’s definitely a good start to this series.

Anyone who loves books about sexy rock band members, will love to read Sing Your Heart Out, I promise Miles is everything you’re looking for in a book boyfriend!

I’m looking forward to read about the other band members, especially Drew and Kara’s story. Without a doubt, Crystal Kaswell made my list of authors to watch and read.

Honestly, this was better than I expected. If you get past the first few pages where the H acts like a jerk, and the h acts like a typical quivering doormat, it gets better. They both are not what the first impression leads you to believe. They both have their issues to work through, and some growing up to do in regards to their emotions, but at least I could say I respected the characters.
As for the story, it's also not what I first though it would be. It's a little more in the emotional side, without being too deep or overly dramatic. It's also pretty safe (aside for the first time the h sees the H) in regards to OW. There is actually no OW/OM drama at all, and very little of the typical rock star outrageous behaviors or antics that are usually part of this trope.
So, not an epic read by any means, but entertaining and not so eyeroll inducing, which is more than I can say for a lot of "rock star romances".
I might read the next book in the series.

So I just got done with the Dangerous Noise series, and while I wasn't blown away by it, I liked it enough to go backwards and try the Sinful Serenade series. I'm not sure what happened here but Sing You Heart Out is pure garbage! Just complete crap in comparison to the other books she's written. The only thing I can think of, is that since this is the first book, she grew as a writer and got better with each book.
This book is predictable and I've read it 100 times before. Virgin meets Player. He takes her virginity. He falls in love with her within weeks and completely changes to a 1 woman man. And WHY?? She is boring, and annoying, and has done nothing that would make him want her so bad, other than not caring about his title or status, which is another typical response. I honestly don't know if I'll even continue this series. But I do recommend Dangerous Noise! Much better.

I picked this up on Kindle Unlimited needing a little break and was AMAZED at the steamy sensuality of this book. I've never read this author before, but I'm following everything she writes now. I don't know how to explain how I felt so drawn into this book that I felt my heart racing with every word. Did I mention how hot it was? It was like meeting the man you knew you were meant to fall in love with and your heart can't keep up with all the emotions it feels. All that being said, Sing Your Heart Out touched me in ways I'll never forget. Thank you for the incredible read!

Sing Your Heart Out is a passionate and steamy love story that follows two people on their journey to have fun and forget about their past. Desperate to forget the pain that haunts her, Meg Smart the introvert, awkward nerd and grieving sister, unexpectedly meets Miles Webb. Miles… the latest hollywood heart throb with a talent for music under his belt and a successful rock band that he sings for; all the girls want Miles.

Determined to show Meg a good time and bring her out of her shell. Miles sets up these rules in which they both can benefit from the physical attraction that they feel for one another. Continuing on their ‘friends with benefits’ journey, Meg and Miles realise their hearts are done pretending the other one doesn’t exist. As they try to cooperate and cohabitat Meg and Miles are slowly learning that

As their physical relationship engages in no foreplay, neither does this book. Diving straight into the sex and the physical longing between Miles and Meg, it is refreshing to see their agreement come to fruition with no doubt and no confusion.

With emotions and sparks flying off the pages, Crystall Kaswell’s descriptions of tension, compatibility, lust and love, highlights the importance of their undeniable chemistry. Kaswell has successfully managed to write a book that has expertly intertwined sex and love. Showing off passion and sincerity simultaneously. As Kaswell writes a story filled with sarcasm, fun banter, hard truths and moments of redemption, Sing Your Heart is the beginning of a series that shows an enormous amount of potential and promise.

I absolutely loved Sing Your Heart Out. It is the first book I've read by Crystal Kaswell and I cannot wait to read the other books in this series. Great characters with fantastic chemistry between them, literally, they hand me fanning my face.

Miles intrigued me from the get-go with his attitude but the way his is described leads you to realize there is more to him. Meg, for me, is one of those strong female characters that I like to read about. She does it in a way that isn't annoying or come off grating. Even the supporting characters were awesome; I wanted to know more about them just from the glimpses that you get.

The book moves at a good pace and has a well developed back story. I'm going to state up front that there is nothing life changing about the plot. It's a very straight-forward plot that has been done before, however, the way the author writes it does suck you in. You end up wanting to know more about the characters, the secrets they hide, the things going on... also, yes, it's downright steamy. The book doesn't lag out, you won't get bored and you'll want to keep flipping the pages. One I would definitely recommend.

Meg and Miles begin their relationship in odd circumstanstances, and it continuues from there. They seem to have little in common initially, beyond a physical attraction. It is only as time goes on that their similarities, and shared pain becomes evident. I liked both Meg and Miles, and their character backstories. The secondary characters, plot and dialogue were aslo excellent! The only reason why I did not give this book five stars is because although it calls itself a "Rockstar Romance" there are no typical rocker antics to support it.... Other than that, worth reading!

Meg and Miles had this instant connection, I wouldn't say love at first sight but it was definitely lust at first sight. After trying to resist Miles fails, Meg decided to try a no strings relationship. Neither one was interested in more then a sexual thing, because both have deep seeded trust issues. A doomed relationship for sure. Meg asks for honesty, but Miles cannot give her 100 percent honesty. They both have a secret that is close to one another but neither is willing to let go of the past so the love that is building can grow.
From the very first chapter it plays in your mind like a movie playing out on the tv. You can try and anticipate what will happen next, or where they both are in their lives but it never works. You feel the raw earth shattering love they both have for each other. You become so sad knowing that they both are to scared to admit their love. And the sex scenes are so hot. Reading how their heart melting love overcomes their stubbornness, the secrets, and the past of both, made me feel like the luckiest reader in the world.

This book was bad. The story had potential but the female character was so grouchy and self absorbed the entire time, it was hard to get past. She continually treated Miles like a piece of dirt under the guise that she couldn't fall in love with him that way. No. She was just a b*tch and used that as an excuse. Just couldn't continue reading. I skimmed it the end and it has an HEA, I suppose, but again, it was thrown out there and she really doesn't deserve him. Not recommended.
