The Taming of the Shrew (Shakespeare - Signet Classic)

Arrived in good condition. Exactly what I needed. However, this copy is basically the script: it contains no footnotes, translations, or introductions whatsoever. If you want these additions, you will need a different version.

Sure Romeo & Juliet is the classic story of two star crossed lovers, but The Taming of the Shrew is what happens when two unlikely people are pushed together and made to try to love one another. Never a dull moment. Brilliant.

This is my newest addition to my Everyman's Library of classics. It is a very nice edition with a ribbon marker attached. I now have several dozen volumes of Everyman's and will continue to add more to my library this year. I am also a "Prime" member and love saving all that money of shipping!

When I am preparing to teach any of Shakespeare's plays, I start with an order for an Arden Edition of the play. They are complete, feature good introductions and a wealth of notes. At times, there are more notes than play. That, for a foundation, is a good thing. This edition seems to live up to Arden's standards.
