My Weird School Daze 12-Book Box Set: Books 1-12

My daughter is reading these books at school and was thrilled to get a full set. Please note that there is a lot of language like "hate" and similar words, so if you are concerned about that I would not buy these books, but for my daughter they were perfect.

I bought this set for my second grade class after a student brought in her set to start a book club. It went over like hotcakes! I had to buy another set to keep everybody in books! They love the set, so I love it too!

I really am surprised that the great reviews. I don't think the language or subject material is exactly appropriate for under 10 year olds. There is a lot of name calling (kid to kid) in the book. "Boys hate girls" and "girls are goody goody".. seems to be the stereotyping.
The stories themselves are good and funny, but i really wish the language was more appropriate, I wouldn't want my kids to learn that calling another kid "dumb face" is appropriate or funny in any way or that its ok to call someone "[Neil] the nude kid".

I bought these for my twin grandchildren. I told them they had to wait for the mail man to bring their present so it would be late. On the day it arrived I hid the books all over the yard and told them the mail man dropped them. When he started to pick them up, I told him not to worry, we would do it. We had so much fun while the 7 year old boys hunted all over the yard for their books, They then had to bring them to their 3 year old brother who counted the books with their father. They all had great fun with the books even before they read them. We plan to get the rest of the sets and other books by Dan Gutman
