You'll Know I'm Dead - Useful Stories from a Persuasive Man

Had seen interviews with Jerry on TV & thought he was interesting. Had no idea how interesting this man was! He seems to know anyone who's famous or important. Great story teller! He could write more books & I'd buy them all. All books should be this fun to read.

Weintraub is a terrific storyteller. Everyone that read this book thought it one of the most entertaining books they have ever read. The stories are priceless and unforgettable.

This book feels like one of Jerry Weintraub's self-acclaimed "big sell" jobs -- he plants the seeds for a great read, sets up the beginning with a lot of strength, and then figures the job is done, and the book just melts away. Many of the remaining stories don't carry any weight. It's as if the set-up is always his main point, not his actual journey. Weintraub does a decent narration of the audio book.

The writer/author is articulate as he is funny. Was an especially interesting to me since I have had the pleasure of meeting or working next to some of the characters mentioned. This is a warm, humorous and most sincere account of an ambitious man's life's work.......and play.

A unique recollection of memories about the backstage of showbusiness. A lot of good stories about Elvis, Frank Sinatra, John Denver and many more. And a lot of business lessons from one of the great movie moguls of our time.
