I love Nicole Edwards and she did not disappoint with this first in a new series. Sniper 1 Security is all about family and this story introduces us to men and women who are going to inhabit, what I hope is going to be, many books in the series.

Kicking off with heart-pumping action, Trace Kogan and Marissa Trexler re-unite under beyond stressful circumstances. Marissa embodies everything that I like about a strong heroine – smart, cool under pressure, and always finds times for a bit of sarcasm. On the other hand, Trace is all about the alpha male as his protective streak is pushed to limit when Marissa is targeted once again by still unnamed enemies. Having grown up together, they were friends forever while realizing they could easily be so much more. Fighting their attraction, as well as mysterious enemies, provides a story you will not want to put down until the end.

I was so excited to hear that this author had a brand new series. A fan of Alluring Indulgences, Club Destiny and many more I expected, and got, a great read. Nicole’s characters are interesting and complex yet down-to-earth at the same time. Trace and Marissa are perfect for each other as scene after scene builds the tension in both their relationship as well as the trouble that has brought them back together again. “Ropey muscles”, steamy scenes and non-stop intrigue and action will have you on the edge of your seat and thirsty for more!

There is nothing Nicole Edwards could write, that I wouldn't love. And Wait for Morning is no different. While its different than anything Nicole has written in the past, it still has everything you love about Nicole’s writing in there. The relationship. The sex. Its all in there. And I've realized, even if she changes the formula a bit, Nicole Edwards can do no wrong.

Wait for Morning is Trace and Marissa’s story but you get to meet both of their families in the process. In fact, Trace and Marissa grew up together and their families are as close as you could be, including living on the same property, even though it’s huge, and owning a company together. And you get to meet all of them throughout Wait for Morning and you also get to hear from a few of them, and I have to say, I have a feeling I’m going to love this family as much as the Walkers.

Wait for Morning is the perfect mix of suspense and their growing relationship. I was kept guess throughout the book. Usually I’m pretty good with figuring out what’s going but with this one, it really kept me guessing.

Trace and Marissa’s love is a love they denied for so long. And I love that. You could feel their fight for each other. You could feel their feelings and what they were trying to push aside. And the way they came together, was perfect. Natural even. You knew it was meant to be but until it happened you didn't know how right.

Love love love Marissa. Love everything about her. Love that she didn't want to follow in her family's footsteps and didn't go into the business. But she didn't do it in a way where it was rebellion. She knew it wasn't for her. And Trace. Well Trace was classic alpha. But he had this super sweet side that I just swooned over.

To me, this was another 5 star Nicole Edwards book. She has left me loving and wanting more from this family. I just can’t wait.

I freaking LOVE Nicole Edwards.

I will forever scream that I LOVE Nicole Edwards from the rooftops. Here we go again, Nicole has created another cast of characters that I am dying to get to know, not to mention we get a little surprise at the end. Possibly a cross over novel with other characters... (WINK: You will have to read Wait for Morning to find out what I am talking about.)

In Wait for Morning we are introduced to the Trexler and Kogan families. The two families are VERY close and have formed Sniper 1 Securities. The families are not only business parties but best of friends. The Trexler and Kogan children have grown up together. Most of them very close in age. They are more like siblings rather than friends. The only problem is, Marissa Trexler has been in love with Trace Kogan since was fourteen years old.

Trace Krogan is Marissa's older brother, Clay's best friend who is two years older than her. Marissa has been crushing on Trace for as long as she can remember. Her teenage crush has turned into so much more. She refused to be rejected by Trace, yet she is pulled to him. She wants him.. she needs him. Little did she know the feelings were mutual.

For years, Trace has been keeping Marissa at a distance. At first, he looked at her as a little sister, until his feelings for her changed. He no longer looked at her as a sibling, rather he looked at her as the beautiful woman she was. Trace has been struggling with his feelings for Marissa for years. He built a wall of armor around him trying to resist her, trying to avoid being alone with her.

When Marissa's life is in danger, Trace demands to be the one to protect her. He knows that her brothers are perfectly capable of doing the job, but his heart won't allow that to happen. The Trexler and Kogan siblings' have known that Trace and Marissa have feelings for each other for years. It was evident. The way the two of them avoided each other, avoided contact with each other. The chemistry was off the charts with these to. It was only a matter of time before Trace would pull his head out of his ass and follow his heart. Marissa brings out something fierce in Trace. Feelings that he is determined to keep at bay. Her life is in danger and there is no time for him to fall victim to his desire for Marissa.

Marissa was going to be the death of Trace. Trace has always managed to keep a wall up between the two of them. Little by little, Marissa is removing that wall brick by brick. Marissa was everything Trace wanted and everything he had denied himself. Sometimes life has a way of playing tricks on us, throwing the ones we love right at our feet. When Marissa's life was threatened once again, Trace can't handle not being the one to protect her. She isn't just an assignment, she is so much more.

Somehow, Marissa Trexler had managed to sneak her way into his heart, into his soul, and he'd welcomed her with open arms, ignoring everything else. ~ Trace Kogan

The question was, how long was Trace going to be able to hold out? How long would Trace be able to avoid Marissa? How long would he be able to fight his feelings for her? Was he strong enough to continue to fight his feelings for her, or would be lose that battle?

When Marissa agrees to have Trace protect her, she knows things are going to change. She welcomes it. She is tired of fighting her feelings for Trace. Marissa is hoping that Trace will open up to her and not be so closed off. Marissa sees the effects she has on Trace, and takes advantage of every opportunity she is given. Will she use this to her advantage? After everything Marissa has been through, will she trust Trace to keep her safe? Can Trace keep Marissa safe? Will Marissa get her life back, or will she forever fear for her life?

I absolutely LOVED the connection between Trace and Marissa. I loved seeing him struggle with his feelings. Of course, Trace is an alpha male, I would expect nothing less from Nicole. In Wait for Morning, Nicole introduces us to a ton of new characters, which we know we will definitely get more off. She lined it up perfectly for how each one will get their own novel. My only complaint is, I WANT THE NOVELS NOW !!!! I am dying to see where each of their story lines go.

Wait for Morning will have you turning the pages quickly, as you will be dying to know what happens next. Readers, play close attention to detail in this book. Nicole gives us a lot of new characters in this book. The Trexler and Kogan families are BIG. There are a lot of them, not to mention the HOTTIE Trace's close friend, Zachariah Tavoularis better known as "Z". Talk about WHOAZERS !!!!

Wait for Morning is a definite 5 star rating for me!!!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I also purchased my own copy from the store as well!!!

I was thrilled when I heard that Nicole Edwards was coming out with a brand new series. Knowing that she could write some of the most amazingly passionate and smoldering romance ever written, I was eager to see how I would react to her adding a suspenseful twist to her stories. Finishing “Wait For Morning” last night I would have to say that this book was an overall good introduction to the series.

I thought the beginning chapters were suspenseful and attention grabbing but as the story moved along I felt the total opposite. I felt very much overwhelmed. There were too many characters introduced into the story thus making it difficult for me to keep up. At that point I should have been focusing on the storyline itself but instead I was trying to keep all the players organized in my head because I knew that they would be monumental characters in future books. I truly needed that outline provided to keep everyone straight. That being said, the first 50% of the book was too long and drawn out for me.

The other half of the book however was great. It was then that I appreciated how involved both families were. I loved how they came together and decided that the chaos going on in Marissa’s life had been going on long enough and needed to end. The dedication to protect each member of their close-knit group was remarkable.

At first I didn’t understand the reason why Trace was holding back from Marissa. His hesitation was aggravating but when he finally surrendered …OMG! The wait was well worth it! Like I said upfront, this author can write some fantastic love scenes and that is proven yet again in this story. I loved that what the couple had wasn’t just a physical attraction either. When they gave in to their emotions they both were committed to the very end.

What I appreciated most about the book besides the romance, suspense and the twists and turns that kept me on my toes was how the author sets up the future couples in the series. The little details she mentioned towards the end of the book about the certain couples such as Max and Courtney and especially Ryan and Z have me all kinds of excited.

Another new series from Nicole Edwards? Let me at it!

Wait For Morning is the first in the Sniper 1 Security series, and boy oh boy I think this is going to be a great series.

This is the story of Trace Kogan and Marissa Trexler. They have known each other forever, and have recently been circling around each other, neither making that first move to be something more. Trace want Marissa, Marissa has loved Trace forever.

Gah, stuff the bro-code and all the comes with it I say! If you want her, man up and go for it, no matter what your family and friends have to say about it!!!

Someone is after Marissa, and there is an air of mystery around who it might be (though I kind of guessed who it might be, but did not know why). Marissa is keeping secrets, and we all know how well that always goes, right?

Although I do love that Marissa being in danger finally gets Trace moving! Man I can only imagine the frustration of our characters as their non-existent relation seemed to pause before it even started, as I was frustrated for them. I wanted to scream at them, shake some sense into them to pull their fingers out and do something before they both died of old age!

I did feel that Wait For Morning did seem to move along at the same snail's pace as the relationship for about the first half of the book. But there is such complex relationships, so many characters to introduce. It just took a bit of effort for me to keep my attention on it.

I love the family dynamic in not just this book and series, but in all of Ms Edwards' books I have read so far. I come from a small family, and kind of get a little jealous of these families with lots of brothers and sisters and cousins. So much unconditional love, no matter what teasing and grief they all give each other.

And I love how Ms Edwards has given us snippets of the other relationships in the making. There are going to be some absolutely brilliant ones to come (cough cough RT and Z I am reaaaalllly wanting!!).

Thank you Ms Edwards for bringing us another family full of sexy alpha men and the men and women that love them!

Once again Nicole Edwards doesn’t disappoint! Her new Novel Wait for Morning the first book in the Sniper 1 Security Series is a little different then what she has normally written and I loved it! This goes to show this author’s writing is multi-faceted whether writing about the Walker Brothers in the Alluring Indulgence Series or the guys and gals in Devils Bend. She has the uncanny ability to translate a vast kind of character experience into a relatable story for the reader. This book is a great introduction to whole host of amazing characters that I am sure will unfold into another amazing series from Edwards!

This book starts off with some seriously tense moments. Marissa Trexler has been in hiding for over a year now. Moved from place to place and it seems as if she’s forever in danger. Her entire family and all their close friends work at Sniper 1 Security. With danger lurking once again her knight in shining alpha male armor (yes that’s how I picture him, guns blazing) appears out of nowhere to save her. The very man that comes in to save her when she isn’t aware threat is inside her own home is someone Marissa has been in love with forever, but she keeps it a secret.

Trace Kogan is one sexy hot alpha male. He is so protective and caring, especially with Marissa. He doesn’t know that Marissa secretly has wanted him for what seems like forever and now with him watching over Marissa until the threat is eliminated, he can’t help but feel the pull to her.

While Trace is busy protecting her from harm, will their true feelings come out? Can he save Marissa from what has been following her for the past year? Has Marissa been forthcoming in everything she really knows?

I loved the banter between Marissa and Trace. While this is a Romantic suspense it still has its erotic elements! I found myself wanting to know so much more about many of the characters as she has planted baby seeds that are sure to grow in future novels! I can’t wait to know more from Sniper 1, as well as the upcoming companion book, Beautifully Brutal from the new Southern Boy Mafia Series! Keep ‘em coming Nicole! 5 Stars

Marissa Trexler’s life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. She has been bounced around safe houses for the last year and there doesn’t seem to be any end in sight. There have been attempts on Marissa’s life all because of an article she gathered information for that helped bring down one of Texas’ biggest crime families, the Andorite’s. Now living in seclusion, Marissa spends her days reading Steven King novels to try to lead a somewhat normal life. Little does Marissa know that being part of the family who runs the biggest security/investigation firm in Texas, her life is anything but ordinary.

Trace Kogan is one of Sniper Security’s best guys. He has a no holds bar approach to things and always gets the job done, especially when that job involves Marissa Trexler. As much as he has tried to fight it, Trace has been attracted to Marissa for as long as he can remember. But because of their families closeness and his love for his job, he is hesitant to make his move. It isn’t until Marissa has a near death experience that Trace decides he is going to have eyes on her 24/7, no matter what the cost. Too bad for Trace he didn’t think before he acted and he is forced to come face to face with his feelings for Marissa.

I really loved this book. I have to admit I was hesitant at first, because I am used to very specific things from Nicole and I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about her going out of her comfort zone. But I have to say, Nicole did a brilliant job with trying her hand at a new kind of story. Don’t get me wrong all the steamy, alpha male yumminess that we are used to is still present in this story, but it takes a back seat to the roller coaster ride that is Marissa’s life. There was passion, intrigue and suspense all rolled into one and I really enjoyed it. I will definitely be reading more books form this series. If you haven’t read any of Nicole’s books before and you don’t think you will be a fan of the steamy ménage we are used to from her, this would be the perfect book to wet your feet.

Wait for Morning is the first installment of Nicole Edwards Sniper 1 Security series—a new suspense romance series with interconnected characters.

Having read some of Nicole Edwards books before, I knew what I was in for—or so I thought. Nicole Edwards managed to completely surprise me with this book. I couldn’t put it down, which was bad considering I had to do homework and finals are just around the corner. From page one, this story grabbed my attention and wouldn’t release it.

Marissa was my kind of heroine; strong, independent, outspoken, and opinionated. After having been on the run just about a year and her family still not being any closer to figuring out who is after her, she decides she is done hiding out and takes a stand.

Trace was the typical alpha man; overprotective, strong, bossy, and, of course, handsome. He stepped in to protect her from harm, and continuously saves her life, all the while the attraction he has always felt toward Marissa burns brighter.

Their attraction is off the charts, and even though their back and forth is frustrating at times, when they finally gave into it, the sex was scorching hot like only Nicole Edwards can write it. Marissa and Trace were the perfect couple and the tension building only intensified the mystery, intrigue, and passion of the story.

The mystery surrounding all the passion, kept me guessing and on my toes throughout the whole book. I couldn’t figure out who the bad guy was until the end, which was the best part. The suspense and mystery was perfect.

This was the perfect start to a new series and I cannot wait for the next one.

This is an absolutely amazing book. I love suspense/romance books and this has got to be one of the best I have ever read. From page one the story pulls you in and does not let you go until the very end. Trace and Marrisa's story is a tug a war of who will give in first to their emotions. Their attraction to each other is felt through out the story.

The twists and turns with their story and that of the other characters along the way leave you wondering what will happen next.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!!!

No cliffhanger
Standalone though first book in a larger family series
Told from 7 different POVs
Minor editing errors. Nothing too major.

I am really struggling with this review. I have read every book Nicole Edwards has written (even the Timberlyn Scott ones) and this is the first time I am only giving 3 stars to a book.

I am used to her books gripping me from the first chapter and this one just didn't. I am trying to remember that this is going to be a huge series so I know a lot of set up needed to happen but I was 60% of the way through the book before the two main characters acted on anything they were feeling. That is just so not Nicole's usual plot MO.

With so many different POVs throughout the book ( which again, I know was setting up the coming books) it was hard to keep up at times. Also there is so much lead up to catching the bad guy in this book that the catching of him seemed pretty drama free to me which was kind of a let down.

I know this sounds like a review on why you shouldn't read this book but that is not the case. When the book got going it was great and the intimate scenes were some of the best she has ever written I just want you to know that this books lays the groundwork for the whole series so just know it is a slow starter.

I have a feeling all the subsequent books are going to be awesome as per the usual for Nicole Edwards. Excited to read Max and Courtney's book next which looks like it is shaping up to be combative and steamy as h**l and then RT and Zs book if I had to guess after that.

Great start to yet another sexy series by Nicole Edwards! This book was filled with sexy men that I wanna eat up! As I was reading this I was wishing I could be Marissa, except some psycho trying to kill her, there's Trace who will do anything to save her, her brothers, Trace's brothers and Z who are doing everything they can to keep her save. I loved everything about this book and can't wait to read more!

I always love Nicole Edwards books. I loved this one too, but the non-communication going on with everyone it got a little tiring. The going back and forth with the I can't be with her/him. I just wished one time in a book like this they could love each other and be together and let the suspense work around that. Great sex scenes which I always love.
