The Berkeley Method is book two in the bestselling Spotlight Series, which began with Close-Up and Personal.
Thought this was far better than 50 shades and written well. I loved it from start to finish.

This second book is hotter than the first. I loved it. This story is getting better and better. James is so hot and Isabella is so sexy. This book had a little mystery in it that I liked. I thought that this was going to be a trilogy but I read that there is going to be book 4. I hope that it will come out as soon as possible.

I just finished the second book in the series. Her books actually have a plot that unfolds drawing you in. Her characters leave you wanting to know more. I liked that I didn't have to wait too long for the second book and I know the third is in the works. Definitely give this series a try!

Read the first book and was disappointed there wasn't more. Then I read book two and I wish I had known it was a four part series. Well written, enjoyed the character development and that it was thorough. The closest to the fifty shades of gray movement as any other. Can't wait for more

This book move smoothly and kept me reading until I was done. So far each book has begun exactly where the previous one ended. No annoying explanations to those who try to take each book alone. They go together.

The characters continue to develop. Isabella is growing in confidence and strength. James is the ultimate hero but something is going to blow up in volume 3. Can't wait - but if its released on a weekday I'm in trouble, will be late for work.

I loved this second book in the Spotlight series and can't wait for the 3rd book to come out. The Berkley Method provided insight to some of the unanswered questions in Up Close and Personal, but there is still so much to be discovered.

I really enjoyed the first book of this series. This one was just ok. I'm not a big fan of authors writing short books just to keep us buying more. It should be just one long good book maybe two. I felt the whole stalker thing was rushed. There wasn't as many intense scenes between James and Issy.

Couldn't wait for this second book of the Spotlight Series to download. This book follows Issy and James as they continue to explore their personal relationship and begin their professional one. There is intrigue in the story and it is woven into the plot so that you can't put the book down. Now really want to see what happens in The Director's Cut!

We start right where Close Up and Personal ended. James has left town, no word where he has gone and Isabella is left reeling. Different scenarios are running through her mind and she remains hurt and confused.
Her roommate, Lorna, has finally convinced Issy to get off the couch and go out with her. While out having drinks, she decides to look up James on the Internet. The press always seems to know what he's doing. That's when Isabella receives a shock. Now more than before, she's hurt, very confused and decides to leave the bar. Just wanting to have a quiet minute alone to process the information she gets lost and some not so nice guys find her. One of them try to attack her and the next thing she knows, he is knocked out and flying through the air! Looking for her rescuer she sees James! Ummm what? Where did he come from and how did he know where she was? James is so angry at her and we know what happens when a dominate male gets mad! Isabella is learning that she needs to take her punishment but she doesn't know how she feels about submitting herself to James. Um Isabella? If I had a HOT, sexy Englishman wanting my submission, you wouldn't have to ask me twice! They are both holding back but confess their feelings for each other are strong. He tells her she makes him want to be a better man.
The movie she's been cast in is back on schedule and James takes her to the studio. While checking out her chalet, she sees that James had completely outdone himself! New clothes, shoes, sexy lingerie and sexy new toys! Looks like someone going to have some fun! ;-) And OMG, where can I find a pearl g-string?! Wow, is it getting hot in here?
It's become business as usual and James and Issy are doing there best to remain a secret. That is until Issy receives a threat and James is having trouble keeping his feelings and emotions in check. "I didn't realize that my feelings for you had grown so strong." Now that Isabella is safely tucked away, she is ready to play. I've had quite the smirk on my face. "I'm going to take you to my bedroom," he says. "In a few minutes, I'm going to have you tied up, naked, and begging for mercy." Yes, please!!
Everything get crazy for Issy, while she's being threatened but she's not going to let that stop her. Just when things calm down and James and Isabella can focus on themselves, they are found out. The problem is, the person can ruin EVERYTHING!
I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet and sexy story from J.S. Taylor! Lucky for us the next installment will be released in a few weeks. Keep your eyes open for The Director's Cut!

In preparation for reading TBM, I reread Close Up and Personal, the first novel in the series. They fit together seamlessly, and TBM has a bit of everything wonderful: drama, suspense, smoking hot love scenes & touching moments that move the plot and character development along significantly.

One thing I noticed in both books is the author's use of detail--she describes places and things with a realism born from knowing them intimately. It makes the story feel richer and more believable.

The cliffhangers are worth suffering, because the books are being released fairly quickly, and there are to be 4 books in the Spotlight Series, not 3, so there's plenty of meat left on the bone to savor.

Finally, major props to the author for her communication with her readers--she is by far the most present & accessible of any indie author I read. It makes it all the nicer that I can, without reservation, recommend The Berkeley Method!

I stumbled across Close Up and Personal after the store recommended it. I loved it and couldn't wait for book 2. Book 2 turned a series that was similar to some others (50 Shades, That Man) into something even better. The story took an exciting turn but still kept true to the theme of James and Issy opening up to the possibility of love. JS Taylor is a very talented writer who really seems to know her characters and has a clear vision for the story. Nothing felt unnecessary or missing. Just a perfect well-paced story. No editing or continuity issues either. I'm just grateful the end was only sort of a cliff-hanger. If she ended it a chapter sooner I would have been screaming! The back of the book said it was only a few weeks to the next book and I really hope that's the case. Great book and I can't recommend it enough!

This was an awesome sequel to Close up and Personal. The Berkeley Method picks up right where the first book ended and the drama starts from the beginning. Taylor introduced several new characters that are were engaging and interesting, while continuing to deepen James and Isabella's characters. Just like in the first book she did an amazing job conveying the character's emotions and sexual tension, and building suspense. Wish Lorna and Ben had been around more in this book though. Can't wait for The Director's Cut!!!
