Asking dynamic questions to get the listener thinking is key. I like this text for that. I am a new coach, and this helped me collect some probing questions. Printing quality is not top notch, but fits the bill.

We're all creatures of habit, even coaches. We have our favourite questions but sometimes it becomes a tired old refrain.

I love this guide book because it gives me a fresh set of powerful questions which I see transforming the lives of my clients every day. It was recommended to me by another coach and I thank her daily for it.

Tony Stoltzfus has created a tool for coaches that want to ask great questions. This guide is incredibly useful. It sets you up for asking great questions in just about any coaching area you are working in. He is a great teacher of the craft of coaching.

THIS IS A LONG NEEDED AND MUCH APPRECIATED TOOL TO ASSIST THE COACH IN GATHERING INFORMATION TO DO A PROPER COACHING JOB. IT REALLY DEFINES THE ROLE OF THE COACH AND IS A GREAT TRAINING TOOL AS WELL AS A HANDBOOK FOR PEOPLE WHO ALREADY CARRY THE LABEL OF COACH.

WONDERFUL TO SHARE WITH PEOPLE WHO COACH ALONG THE MANAGEMENT AND QUASI-MANAGEMENT CONTINUUM. A GOOD LEARNING FOR A NEW COACH AND TERRIFIC TOOL FOR AN "OLD" COACH!

I have several of Ton Stolzfus' training materials. I would describe this as a condensed guide to learn and refresh your memory as you learn to be a life coach. It's my "go to" book, not only as I was learning but when I hadn't done a coaching session in awhile and needed a quick refernce guide. Tony's materials are well organized, making it easy to access needed information. The other book of his which I would recommend is "Leadership Coaching". In my opinion these two books are a must have for every coaches library.

Being able to ask powerful questions is a core skill for coaches and managers. I'm always on the lookout for new resources, and this book far exceeded my expectations. I like it so much I'm buying copies for friends. If you do any coaching or managing, I strongly recommend that you get a copy of this book for your library.

Mr. Stolsfus book comes quite handy particularly for professional and business coaches at the beginning of their careers. It provides lines of questioning that can be very helpful in preparing for coaching sessions.

If you believe coaching mainly consists of asking good questions (and you probably should) Tony's book is a treasure trove of practical tips for building up your store of powerful asking questions. It may not appear to be a fancy presentation bookwise but it's practical, useful and far outstrips some of the more glossy, big-name publications in terms of sheer usefulness for practising coaches.

This book is well set out and easy to understand. It is an excellent reference resource for aspiring coaches. I was seeking a list of questions but this book offers exercises to improve skills, mistakes to avoid and a structure for coaching sessions.
I particularly liked the section on `Starting Significant Conversations' which encourages the reader to always take a curious stance to life's interactions.
The section on `Coaching Niches' helps coaches to understand in which area they can best add value and has inspired me to pursue coaching in the area of occupational health and safety.
