A creepy religion horror story! Get this book in time for your spooky halloween read! I enjoyed the characters and the feeling of suspense throughout. Exorcisms can certainly be creepy and horror filled and Cole does a great job with this book. I felt for the characters and also felt chills on my spine while reading.

This is a good story. However, with a better edit, this book will have more intensity, intrigue and be a page turner. For instance, there is too much over explaining, which makes sentences too long, which, in turn, slows the pace of the story.

I reviewed an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book voluntarily.

Didn't realize that this was a continuation of his "World on Fire" series until Arthur showed up. I was enjoying reading the book but once Arthur showed up, I knew I was in for a wild ride. Love this book and author. Can hardly wait for next book!! I highly recommend buying the whole series. I was given an advanced copy in exchange for a review but I would have bought it anyways.

Wow... very different. Action packed. Interesting story line. Well written. You definitely get caught up in the story and, at times, it feels like two different authors are writing as he switches from character to character.

I enjoyed this book very much from the very first word. Set in the Pacific Northwest, our main character is introduced with flaws and secrets, which makes the reader want more info about him. I can't wait for the next book.

I accepted this copy as an ARC and was completely overwhelmed! A thriller horror supernatural story, with whims of religious statements. Fast paced action from the beginning. I haven’t read The Ninth Circle( I will now), which gives some past knowledge of the protagonist, but this book can be read as a standalone, as there are snippets of past relations of both of the main characters. I like that Lincoln Cole gives importance to both Arthur and Father Paladino, with an in-depth background and emotions.
It’s in itself scary and emotive, so realistic, it made me jump and squeal a few times! LOL! It is deliciously supernatural, thrilling, terrifying sometimes! I definitely recommend the new series!

Having already read other books by Lincoln Cole I would have had to read this book anyway, however I was fortunate enough that “I have received this book as a advance read for free and am voluntary writing this review!”
An extremely well written novel, that kept me on edge and interested throughout from the very first page. I haven’t read a book that gripped me from the off and I mean gripped.
The story starts off with some scary stuff and then continues at some pace with Vatican father Niccolo Paladia arrives from Rome in the state of Washington sent by the Vatican to speak to a local priest father Jackson Reynolds who had gone over the head of his bishop regarding a request for help with a exorcism. The requesting of an exorcist was only organically a request to be investigated but soon transpires to be so much more. The characters were well written, realistic scary and tense. All in all a great story line to boot!
Rarely have I read a book that keeps you tense and unable to put down or leave.
LOVED it and highly recommend this book. Right up there with Stephen king,
Can’t wait for the next book now!

I was totally hooked from the first page, I had to force myself to put it down so I could get some sleep at night cuz really, I wanted to just read it all the way through. A super creepy story, perfect for reading the month of October with Halloween coming up. I definitely recommend this book and am really looking forward to reading more from this author. I really enjoyed the fact that I was actually getting paranoid every time I heard something or turned on the lights in every room I went into, I was truly unnerved. I loved it!

I was a little concerned initially, because I am new to this genre, horror/thriller had never been on the top of my list. That has all changed now! I completely enjoyed this book: the intensity, the characters and the storyline. The characters were easy to learn, the story moved along at a good pace and it kept you on the edge of your seat. I completely recommend it, and look forward to reading more books by this author. I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The story is intense, deep and will entertainment you until the last page!
The characters are well developed, strong with a strong will. The two heroes are very different in faith, methods but they are a fantastic team to fight the evil. You will love their story and this book.
If you like paranormal/fantasy/horror, this is the book for you!
I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review

This book was delightfully chilling and compelling. I was so tempted to just put it down due to the fear factor but my curiosity got the best of me and I kept reading.

WTG! Mr. Cole!

P.S. I received an advance copy for an honest review. I had liked the preview so I said yes and have been pleasantly surprised! WoW. Bring on #2 in the series!
