Thought provoking for us Catholics,what a wonderful book for us as well as for many non Catholics to learn about the true faith instituted by Jesus Christ himself. Every chapter is full of crucial information from the commandments to the sacraments,Mr. Kelly even tells you about our devotion to the rosary,beautiful,well written book about what we believe,Lord God our savior.

I learned so much from this book. I recommend it to Catholics and non-Catholics alike. The whole book is presented as a common sense look at things. Michael Kelly presents the material so well that it can be applied in other areas of our life as well. His approach is don't judge a book by its cover and personally delve into the roots and real meaning of our Catholic faith to fully understand and appreciate its beauty. Too many people look for the EASY way to happiness. Like everything in life there easy ways and there are better ways. Michael Kelly shows us how to find the better ways and help others at the same time.

From the Prologue the book is captivating. I wish I would have read this years ago. The book will guide you on how to live a happy and Holy life. You don't have to be clergy to live this way. With your God given talents you can achieve happiness and holiness. This book will put life into prospective.

If you feel lukewarm in your Catholic faith or ignorant about it because you have questions without answer, get ready to be enlightened and become inspired, strengthened and filled with determination to engage in passing on with pride your faith.

I strongly recommend this book to anyone, but specially to leaders, because just like me, it will call you to action and together we will make an impact in our community and in our world.

In today's world the need to revitalize ones faith and increase ones knowledge of the faith is paramount in understanding Catholicism. Here is a great source of both information and personal growth for all who have become lax or have separated themselves due to recent events.

Instead of centering on all the things wrong with the church, this book inspires us to be proud to be Catholic. To use our faith and our church to become the people that God intended us to be. The book challenges us to do just that. By finding and building what is holy in us, we make the church and our country and our world better. The main theme always strive to be and do better even when you fall short. Use the wisdom of the church, passed down from Jesus himself, to achieve that goal. Learn and apply what you learn to strengthen and grow the Catholic church and yourself along with it.

Matthew Kelly makes the case of the relevance of Catholicism in the modern age. He counters the trends of excessive individualism, hedonism, and minimalism with a spirituality that can extend to anyone who wishes to improve the conditions on earth, in other words, to create heaven on earth.

Lets face it, how exciting could a book on religion be however, being a catholic for 50 years of my life, I have learned a great deal about my own religion. I 'm only halfway through the book and looking forward to finishing it.

I found it extremely challenging, I am a cradle,but very conscious to the point of frustration. All 3 of my children have abandoned the Church,married outside and will have nothing to do with it. Seems my pitiful but well meaning example has no effect Priest tell me n it to worry, they all will return. If I can not evangelize my own how do I evangelize others.

prayer , for those interested in growing in their relationship with Christ! Matthew Kelly also provides great explanations of why and how our culture is, in relation to history; the TRUE meaning of life, etc. This is one of those books which you will want to share with all your friends!! Matthew Kelly truly has a gift; and,I am thankful that he has shared it!!

I have only just begun to read this lovely book. It is an easy read for small measures of time. It was recommended by a fellow Catholic as a tool to beef up my knowledge of my faith and so far I am impressed. I highly recommend the book to anyone looking for more in depth and thoughtful dialogue of Catholicism.

I love this book. It DOES rediscover Catholicism BUT in the GREAT way Catholocism IS. I would recommend reading this book just for additional knowledge about our GREAT Church or if anyone is interested in some of the whys and wherefores of Catholicism this book will be very helpful, The author Matthew Kelly explains our Church traditions/teachings wonderfully.

Good book to help folks understand better the beauty of the Catholic faith and recharge their spirit. Very easy to read. I wanted to keep reading it as Matthew Kelly has meaningful text. I would recommend this book.

I'm grateful to Matthew Kelly for this reinvigoration of my faith. It's difficult to explain just how valuable this book is. We have been discussing it for weeks in my book group. Do not neglect to read the Prologue!

As a convert to the Catholic faith who has taught CCD to several confirmation classes. I have been in awe of how easy the youth of today are able to walk away from the Catholic faith, and wondered what could be done to help not only the youth but their parents who somehow lost their way during the change introduced via Vatican II. Matthew Kelly expresses several methodologies to allow the teaching to all. It's not easy but it will be something that we can embrace and help restore the faith.

Matthew Kelly has done wonders with this book, personally at least. I am only halfway thru the book, and already I have been thinking differently about my faith. He has an amazing way of making the reader see things differently, and reawaken one's interest in something that has been neglected for so long...such as Catholicism. Kudos, Mr. Kelly, may God bless you more abundantly for this work you have done!

You realize why our church, country, family is in decay.
Read, and trust me, you will then understand....and DO something about the mess.

Kelly manages to move past the trappings of the church to the principles at the heart of the faith. He provides clear examples of how to move closer to the better versions of ourselves, and he provides the tools for readers to ground ourselves in the actions our faith calls upon us to take.

Outstanding. Should be required reading for every Catholic. Our church faces many threats today and it is more important than ever that people's perception of our church comes from watching how its members conduct themselves rather than through the media. This book contains a blueprint for how to lead a more holy (and happy) life.

A must read for people who are Catholic and strong in their faith, I am, those who are lapsed Catholics, I was, those who want more information about being Catholic, I do, ... in other words anyone who has heard about the Catholic Faith should read this book then re-read it. I'm on my third readng (twice in paperback and now on Kindle) and get something new out of it each time I read it.

This book is very, very rich with new understanding of my faith. WE ARE THE CHURCH comes alive for me. I'm a member of a small church community and we are reading and discussing the book this year. The reaction from each of us has been true excitement. We are falling more in love with our faith.

I have really enjoyed reading this book. As a practicing Catholic I have learned a lot. Reading this book made me think about why I practice my faith and how I can be an even better Catholic. I realized I was taking some things about my faith for granted. For those fallen away or thinking about coming back to the church this book will help answer most or all of your questions.

great book, very informative. Made me very proud of the Catholic Religion. I didn't need to be converted, I love the traditions that I grew up with. But it was eye-opening to read about all the positive enormous contributions that the Catholic religion has brought to the world- i.e. the first orphanages, the first hospitals, the first public education, and so on. It was great to read about the Saints and their selfless contributions to humanity. The book is very "readable" and enjoyable. I would recommend this book for all Catholics and even non-Catholics. Too bad the mass media won't be covering this story as well as they cover the occasional failures...

Anyone looking to get back to their Catholic Faith, then this is a must read. If you have doubts about the church and are looking for perspective, I highly suggest you read this. Many Catholics have abandon the church and lost their faith for one reason or another. Everyone has their story. Even I, was lost for sometime. Matthew Kelly nails all the excuses people are using not to follow their faith that they were raised on. Too many Catholics start out on the right path and when they leave high school and enter college, church is no longer important. As they graduate and move on with their lives their faith continues to trail far behind. Idealism of why they no longer practice becomes dogma for them. Matthew Kelly wrote this book as a road map on how to come back to the church. If I could afford it, I would hand out a copy to all the people I only see at Christmas and Easter every year. These are the two times during the year I see the churches packed wall to wall with people. The thing that caught my attention the most is the amount of young people that attend on those two days. One of the biggest complaints I hear is that everyone is old, there is no youth in the Catholic Church. This book is directed at the people how only come to church on occaision. These are the people we need to bring back. Matthew Kelly beautifully explains how this should happen.

Very good and inspiring. Doing the right thing in a do your own thing invironment can make you feel bad. This is very reassuring that Catholicism is the right faith for me and I am poud of the faith, the doctrine and the tradition.

Very wordy. Good information on the basics of our faith. I do not think that many fall away catholics will wade through it, as it takes determination to read it all. This author could do the job much more concisely to bring people in,get them renewed, then, give them more details.

This book is changing my life! Rediscovering Catholicism will strengthen your relationship with God and bring you to a higher level of worship in the Catholic Faith. I have been a practicing Catholic all my life but now have such a higher understanding of my faith.

An excellent book designed to reawaken Catholics as to the value of their religion at this time of rampant secularism. it is simply written and is easy to read and follow. i am finding it a fasinating read.
