Lucinda Riley has masterfully crafted a story of several generations through emotionally hard times and times of love. She weaves a story so each character has a story of their own but keeps them interactive throughout the book. I liked Aurora supplying us with new directions to where the story may lead. Well written, emotionally moving five tissue read.

I liked the characters and some aspects of the story, but this book was more of a romance than I expected. At times, the events were so unbelievable I had to laugh, but I'll admit I continued reading the book.

A lovely read. Enjoyed reading it as I went along, not just waiting to see what happened. The characters came to life and it was a bonus to discover that the story was set mostly in Ireland! It is an easy, undemanding read, but, nevertheless holds the attention

Lucinda Riley tells a wonderful story full of well developed characters combined with a sometimes magical setting. There is the theme, consistent with her novels, of love and loss, of past and present. The ending comes at quite a suprise!
