“She believed she could so she did.”

And boy did she!

Kinsley Bryant is at the top of her game when it comes to playing soccer, but in the romance department, she can’t seem to win. After two cheating boyfriends, Kinsley’s done with relationships. Her focus is now 100% on making it on the Women’s Olympic Soccer team and dominating the field at the collegiate level. She’s driven to succeed, and Kinsley’s not going to let anything or anyone get in her way…

Enter Liam Wilder. He’s a professional soccer player whose bad publicity has landed him as an assistant coach on Kinsley’s college team. This makes any type of relationship between them off limits, but their attraction is too much for them to ignore, and soon they’re playing a dangerous game. With so much to lose, why would Kinsley and Liam risk giving into their feelings for one another? Unless they found something they feel they could love more than soccer.

R.S. Grey is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This is my third book by her, and her writing keeps getting better. Her storylines pull readers in and the development of her characters help us to understand the depth of who they are and what they want. Kinsley is a kickbutt heroine. She’s driven, confident, and feisty; the best part about her is that she knows how to have fun and her one liners and witty comments are hilarious. Because Scoring Wilder is told solely through Kinsley’s perspective, readers hear all of her internal dialogue, witness her quirkiness, and see the turmoil she goes through when deciding how to proceed with her forbidden romance with Liam.

Liam Wilder may have been the tattooed bad boy, but with Kinsley, he’s anything but. He protects her when most guys wouldn’t; he shields her from all of the bulls***, making sure she remains as unscathed as possible. He’s an amazing hero who I just couldn’t get enough of in this story. I definitely would have liked to get in his head a little bit, but seeing him from Kinsley viewpoint worked well.

Scoring Wilder combines two of my favorite things: sports and romance. The story has a great mix of humor, mild angst, and sexual tension. There was never a lull in the plotline; there’s not unnecessary conflict or drawn out complications. It’s an extremely well written text that I couldn’t put down!

R.S. Grey shoots and scores!

Dear Kinsley,

I could start this by telling you how lucky you are that you get to deal with Liam Wilder on a daily basis and gushing about how hot and sexy he is, but I won't. I mean all of that is true, but do you know who I fell in love with first. You.
The way that you handled Josh in the very first chapter was brilliant. You didn't run away, you didn't fight but you did let it be known that you wouldn't be taken for a fool, all while being funny at the same time. Funny was a common theme for you throughout this book…

“I was supposed to be Nancy Drew, and instead I was Nancy Draw-the-blinds-and-put-it-in-me.”

But it wasn't just your humor that made me fall for you. It was your strength, both physically and emotionally. Despite having your heart trampled on twice, you weren't bitter or jaded. Maybe you were a little more cautious, but cautious is good. Your dedication to soccer was inspirational, your commitment to making the Olympic team, exceptional. Watching you form a friendship with wild, yet inexperienced Becca and sweet, sweet Emily made me smile. I would totally hang out with you guys!! Also, your name rocks!!
Now I get to gush about Liam. Sweet, strong, solid, sexy Liam. Damn it all to hell that he had to be your off-limits coach.

“He’s my coach. My off-limits coach. He’s like chocolate and I’m like pickles. They shouldn't be mixed…Unless…chocolate covered pickles?”

I love that he couldn't control himself around you, despite his multiple attempts to try. P.S. That scene in his office….so hot!!
It was kind of adorable how he never hesitated to make sure that you knew he was interested and that when push came to shove, he took control of the situation in order to protect you and your future. He was just the right kind of strength you needed in your life at that time. He was neither pushy, nor too casual about you. Between the M&M’s, the superman t-shirt, and the chicken and waffles he was basically perfection and we all hate you for landing him.
If you could let R.S. Grey know that the epilogue was just what I needed in this story…or so I thought before she gave us the epilogue to the epilogue. Karma is a bitch! Muahahahahaha!!

Sending you Greyhound Wishes and M&M Dreams,
Jaime

4.5 Stars!
Scoring Wilder was a hilarious and sexy forbidden romance. I loved it!

Kinsley Bryant is nineteen years old, a rookie on her college soccer team, and an Olympic hopeful. Aside from being an aspiring Olympian, she has normal teenage problems. Her ex-boyfriend is a cheating dirtbag, she's trying to bond with her new housemates and teammates, and her biggest problem is trying not to drink too much before her first practice.

That is until she discovers a bigger problem than she could have imagined; her team captain, Tara, has set her evil, jealous eyes on Kinsley and will stop at nothing to take her down. Let me just say, it was painful that this girl and I share a name. She was a psychotic bully and the amount of malice contained in one person was mind-blowing. There were many times during this story that she actually turned my stomach.

When she meets Liam Wilder, the bad boy of soccer, at a party on her birthday, she discovers that he will be coaching her team. The fact that she will get to stare at his athletic body every day is both a blessing and a curse, as the entire team is instructed that any sort of fraternization is forbidden. Their immediate attraction to each other could cause both of them to lose everything.I loved Liam. He was sexy, funny, charming, and so sweet.

I love R.S. Grey's writing style. Even when intense things are happening, she will write something off the wall hilarious that kept me laughing throughout the whole book. She's very quick-witted and has a sarcastic sense of humor and I have a great appreciation for both of those traits.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first introduction to this author's writing and I can't wait to read more of her work and see what the future brings.

Oh holy tears of laughter running down my face! This book was absolutely divine! I haven't laughed this hard in forever and fallen in love with every page of a book! I'm not one of those people that highlight lines all throughout the book, its just not me. But this book, I think half of it is highlighted on my iPad.

When RS approached the blog about reviewing, I knew I liked sports driven romances because I am a sports nut. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe the story would be so much more than that! I picked David Beckham through the whole thing, and can I just say that is not a sad image to maintain.

Liam Wilder is a soccer stud! Playing for the LA Stars, he has the bad boy image, going through girls like socks. When his coaches and sponsors make it clear it's time to clean up his image, he begins helping out by coaching the ULA Women's Soccer team.

Kinsley Bryant is a freshman and soccer star in her own right. Chronicled as the next major thing to come out of high school, she shines both on and off the field. I think what I loved most about her character is that even those she's talented and gorgeous, she's not one of those icky people. She's genuine and caring.

The dialogue between Kinsley and her fellow freshman is hilarious! Through in the soccer version of Mean Girls and you've got a never ending laughfest! When Kinsley gets her first Brazilian, I was crying so hard! While all the girls are drooling over Liam, it's obvious he only has eyes for one but the ULA coach informed them in no uncertain terms that he is off limits!

I'll give you one guess about what a freshman hormonal girl will do when denied the sexy, tattooed soccer god?!?!? BAHAHA! Just read the quotes below and decide for yourself how badly you need to read this book.

RS Grey hits the nail on the head with her love of Amy Phoeler, Tina Fey and many others. She definitely ranks with them on the scale of hilarious! Though I must admit, her humor reminded me a lot of Melissa McCarthy!

Fresh off a break-up, Kinsley Bryant is focused on one thing. Soccer! As a rising star, she’s starting her freshman year on the ULA girls’ soccer team with her eye on the prize…earning an invitation to the Olympic tryouts. She’s enjoying her freedom and making new friends in her teammates, but there are just some things you just don’t see coming your way. You don’t expect your team captain, Tara, to be a royal b*tch that wants to bring you down. And you don’t expect your team’s new assistant coach to be THE Liam Wilder, the hottest bad boy in professional soccer. Scoring with Liam starts as a joke between Kinsley and her friend, Becca, but it ends up there’s undeniable chemistry between Kinsley and Liam. However there’s the whole “coaches and players can’t be involved” thing, a very persistent ex-boyfriend, and the psychotic team captain standing in their way. How much is she willing to risk?

I had so much fun reading this book! R.S. Grey had me laughing from the very first paragraph, and I laughed my way through to the end! This is a light-hearted, hysterical, sexy read! You cannot help but fall in love with the characters, yet Grey also wrote the perfect villain. The writing is fantastic, especially the dialog. She’s gifted in the way she writes witty, playful banter.

Then there are all these pop culture references that had me convinced for about 30 seconds that Kinsley and I are the same person—except for the fact that I’m not 19, or a soccer player, or athletic for that matter, and I don’t have a rockin’ bikini body, and I’m not particularly funny or terribly witty…well, you get the idea. Yet, if you can throw a Brazilian wax, a muddy obstacle course, Game of Thrones, Sixteen Candles, AND Peanut M&Ms in one book and I can relate on all levels, I start to wonder if my house is bugged.

The point is that I loved the book. I totally fell for Liam, Kinsley and Becca are my new favorite dynamic duo, and I seriously want to hang with R.S. Grey. It’ll give me the chance to state my case that Becca needs her own book.

Scoring Wilder has is all, a smart mouth heroine (my review title is one of her lines), a hot as hell, hopefully reformed bad boy, the kooky best friends and the bitchy girl there to tear everything apart. R.S. Grey has used all of the ingredients to create a sexy and funny book about love.

Kinsley is a high school soccer star that is now a rookie on her college team. She's good, so good that people know her name and are watching to see if she makes the Olympic team. Living in the Rookie house with her friends Becca and Emily, Kinsley is focused on improving her game and getting to that next level. All is well until Coach Wilder shows up.

Liam Wilder is a professional soccer player with a very unprofessional image. He is on the LA Stars team and is doing a bit of an image clean up by volunteering to help coach the woman's team for a few months. Because he is known for his skills on and off the field, the girls are warned to steer clear of the new coach. Too late for Kinsley, she's already caught his eye.

Now it's a roller coaster ride of staying professional while having feelings for each other for Liam and Kinsley. She also has to deal with jealous girls trying to sabotage and slander her, while focusing on reaching her goal of the Olympic tryouts. With her friend Becca in tow, the story is sad, funny and sexy all in one. Not only are we dealing with Kinsley's love life, we are dealing with Emily and Becca's as well, which rounds out the story nicely.

Scoring Wilder was well written and kept up a strong pace until the end. My absolute favorite part was the two, yes two epilogues that let us know exactly what everybody had been up to. Great standalone read!

This book is pretty good, however, IMO, it seems to be categorized incorrectly. I can not see how anyone can call this New Adult. It reads extremely YA, (well, except for the sex and there isn't much) and YA is not really appealing to me. If this is your thing, I believe that I would definitely recommend this book though. My thoughts:

1. Good characters who are fairly likeable. Some are cliches, but the main characters are appealing. I liked the h, Kinsley; I know some reviewers didn't, but I liked her.

2. There are just a few too many grammar, punctuation, and wrong word errors to completely overlook. 'Breaking' instead of 'braking', 'bare' instead of 'bear', 'reigning' instead of 'reining'....... errors like these interrupt your reading with surprise laughter. AND, a hemline or a hem is the bottom level of a garment, not the neckline or back. This author seems to refer to any outside edge of a garment as a hem or hemline. Unless this is some sort of regionally acceptable usage?

3. Speaking of laughter, this author is funny, in a teenaged way. The h has some really funny internal monologues. Well done.

Kinsley Bryant is a 19 year old up and coming soccer star. Her focus is on making the upcoming Olympic team. She has made some good new friends on the team and things seem to be going great. Then she finds out that the incredibly sexy Liam Wilder, professional soccer player and notorious bad boy is one of her coaches. It is made clear that he is off limits and that getting involved with Coach Wilder can get you kicked off the team. Kinsley and Liam find that staying away from each other is not going to be an option. They start to explore their forbidden romance, but a vindictive team mate may try to sabotage them both.

This story hooked me fast and kept me engaged throughout. I absolutely loved Kinsley. She is confident, determined, and witty. Through her strong personality she is also thoughtful and loyal to those she cares about. She's been hurt in the past, but she doesn't let those experiences change the way she lives her life or views herself. Her friendship with Becca is delightful and the two of them are a force to be reckoned with. And then there is Liam. Good lord. I can only imagine that anyone and everyone would be in love with Liam by the end of the story. When the story begins, it is easy to see the sexy cocky guy that is easy to lust after, but he quickly reveals himself to have more depth than we realize. The chemistry between he and Kinsley is spectacular and there is all kinds of hotness going on in here. I loved this story and found it hard to put down once I started. I definitely recommend this and will gladly read more by this author in the future.

Sweet & funny but still not a 'Olympic tie-breaking goal' for me...

I know David Beckham is way to old to be Liam Wilder but I couldn't help but picture him in the part. Liam Wilder needs a flaw, he is just too perfect. Maybe that's what I didn't like...I mean come on perfection is an illusion, flawless just doesn't exist anywhere but in a fairytale.

I did like Kinsley, despite her fangirl ways. That may have been what made me like her so much. She never apologizes for her fangirl ways towards Coach Wilder. When she thinks she is just talking to his abs in her head, that was priceless. Is she too young? Yes but hey I am not her and that was the furthest thing from my mind at that age.

They fall for each other super fast, too fast for my taste. But then again, I am not them so who am I to say it's too soon.

On a personal note... I dated a college soccer player and to this day I have never seen legs quite so lovely!!! Mwahahaha...

Great characters, great storyline, and a light read. The heroine wasn’t annoying are naive. All the characters were likeable except for Tara. She was an annoying, jealous, hooch. It was a little slow at first but it finally picked up and got interesting. Kinsley’s a 19 year old college student attending ULA and on the soccer team. She’s training for the Olympic Soccer Team. She just walked in on her boyfriend Josh cheating on her. Josh was her long time friend and he was there for her when Trey (her ex-boyfriend) cheated on her and they made it official to start a romantic relationship. So with two relationships ending with her getting cheated on, Kinsley has sworn off men. That’s until she finds out Liam Wilder the famous, gorgeous, sexy soccer player for the LA Stars will be her new coach. Rumor has it that Liam is trying to clean up his bad boy image. There is an instant attraction between Kinsley and Liam, but Wilder is Kinsleys coach, so he’s off limits. But when it comes to Liam she has a hard time listening to her head over her heart. Kinsley is not ready for the public scrutiny from Liam’s fans and the public. You’ll fall in love with the story and the characters and america’s sweetheart couple.

Wow I just finish reading this book, and I love it, love the characters, and love how the book turn out to be, have to say this book made me laugh at some part, I just couldn't get enough of it, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.

The story begging with Kinsley, she is nineteen years old, she's a soccer player, and she's about to start practice, but before that she found her boyfriend of four month, in bed with some one else, she had being cheated on twice now, and she is over it, now two weeks later after finding her ex in bed, is her nineteen birthday and she is not having a good time at all, but all that changes when her teammate and her end up going to a house party. While seating on the kitchen counter, she end up meeting a group of guys, while taking Jell-O shots after her first one, when she look up that's when she saw him, the sexy hunk of Liam, now Liam is a professional soccer player, a bad-boy, she couldn't believe that he was walking up to her, after few exchange of words, he end up telling her that he is one of her coach, that's when she knew that everything was gone change, will they cave in to their feelings, will they brake the rules, or will the keep being Forbidden for each other.

I really love and enjoy reading this book, love the way how Liam and Kinsley are with each other, love it how they have chemistry from the begging, Author R.S. Grey THANK YOU for introducing to this awesome characters and this amazing book love it.

I had high expectations going into Scoring Wilder. R.S. Grey’s last work, With This Heart, was one of my favorite 2014 reads. Scoring Wilder was an easy read. It was fun and flirty. No crazy drama or major angst. Kinsley was a likeable character in the beginning, her goals are admirable, and I respected the way she handled several situations. But she came across a bit immature at times; her decisions and actions contradicted themselves often causing me to become confused. Her internal dialogue was occasionally funny, but a lot of the time it felt forced or cheesy. Liam was hot and uber sweet, but I didn’t feel as if his character had much depth, I never really got to know him. I just kept being told how perfect he was and how he was a reformed bad boy. I was never really connected to the story or situations at any point. Unfortunately this book wasn’t at the standards I anticipated. With that, it’s still a decent read. Kinsley and her friends are definitely entertaining with their crazy antics and great dialogue. There was just something missing from Scoring Wilder to make it wow me. But even though it didn't wow me, I look forward to R.S. Grey's next work.

Scoring Wilder is a wonderfully sexy and refreshing take on forbidden romance set against the back drop of a soccer field with a little bit of “Mean Girls” sprinkled on top. It has tons of laughs, rock hard abs, parties, parties, parties, backstabbing, hot soccer stars, and tons of sexual tension.

This book is HILARIOUS. My face hurt from smiling and laughing so much. I don’t remember the last time I laughed like this. Witty, funny, sarcastic. Kinsley's internal dialogue is seriously some of the funniest stuff ever! She is a sweet, funny, genuine, strong, and absolutely lovable heroine. Add in one sensationally hot and panty melting soccer star (Liam Wilder), a conniving spotlight hungry wench, a wonderful BFF, and I was in a virtual reading la-la land!

It started out as a forbidden romance and had the feel of doing something wrong, but then it sort of changed paths along the way. And, we didn't see much of the "bad boy" Coach Wilder (*cue the sad face*). I was disappointed, but only for all of 2 seconds because Liam Wilder is so yummy he can make you forget your name.

All-in-all, Scoring Wilder is a great read that kept me constantly tapping my Kindle to find what happens next. This is a feel good book, and I still have a smile plastered on my face just thinking about it. If you’re looking for something lighter that will make you laugh, swoon, and pump your fist, Scoring Wilder is definitely what you’re looking for!

Scoring Wilder is the perfect summer read - sexy, funny, swoon-y and fast-paced. I fell in love with Liam (and Kinsley a little bit) from the beginning, and Liam didn't let go of my heart for the entire book! This story is the perfect combination of a smart, strong, witty heroine, a sexy, good-hearted bad boy, and a yummy story that is head and shoulders above most books in the genre.

Even if you are not a fan of New Adult books, you will LOVE Scoring Wilder! Liam Wilder is a famous professional soccer player with a bad-boy reputation. Of course, much of it is due to the ever-present media and some undeserved bad press. Kinsley is a smart, driven, talented and FUNNY rising soccer star who immediately falls in lust with her new soccer coach. They are acutely aware that they are forbidden to be together, and Kinsley has some very, very funny moments when she is struggling to fight her growing attraction to her soccer coach.

Oh - and Kinsley's previous relationships ended VERY badly so she doesn't trust anyone, let alone a tattoo-covered, world-famous soccer star. But Liam turns out to be a total sweetheart, romantic, honest, open and giving. But will Kinsley come to her senses in time?

Scoring Wilder has plenty of steam, hilarious, laugh-out-loud moments, plus a gorgeous soccer-playing hero. What's not to love? If you are looking for a perfect summer read, Scoring Wilder is for you!

I fell in love with Kinsley, she is strong, determined, focused on what she wants and is a great friend. Ultimately though, it's her sense of humor really pulled me in – she is willing to be bold and brash when she needs to and I LOVED that. I also enjoyed her friendship with Becca and Emily – a great bound is formed between these 3. Sigh, Liam … yes, he is drool worthy and totally has Kinsley hooked but he is off limits since he is her coach. Is he worth the risk? Liam is surprised by Kinsley and I think he is shocked at how he feels around her. He has a tarnished reputation which he is trying to repair for his sponsors. Kinsley is a monkey wrench to these plans since he is a volunteer coach for her soccer team which makes her off limits. Can he resist her? How can he when he's never felt like this before? This is a fabulous sports centered romance with 2 driven athletes that have to find a way to let love into their lives without threatening their ultimate goals. The chemistry is fun, flirty and off the charts sexy. I had fun reading this story!

I loved everything about this story. It was exactly what I needed and the type of book that sucks me right in from the start. I will also add the release was timed perfectly with the drama of the World Cup all over the sports stations.
The sexual tension between Kinsley and Liam was magnetic right from the start. Learning Liam would be her coach, put a damper on those feelings. They wouldn’t be forgotten though. That’s impossible.
Kinsley kept me on my toes as a reader with her funny banter and humor every few pages. I loved her loyalty to her friends, and how she valued her relationships. So many times we see the girls fawning all over the male, leaving their friends in the dust. This makes Kinsley a great example of what friendships are all about.
Liam was a total sweetheart, sex on a stick - with enough abs to cover two washboards. He could make an old granny swoon. His initial meeting with Kensley was electric but when they finally got together…..it was off the charts. I always fall for the jocks and boy did I fall for him. If only he wasn’t fictional. Sigh…a girl can dream. He is fictional right? Just checking…..
I’m once again blown away by the talent of R.S. Grey. I fell in love with her writing when I read With This Heart. I’m hooked again and look forward to reading more from this author. Thanks for making me laugh and smile. This book is the total package – a wonderful light, smart read.

Had me cracking up!
Kinsley is a college soccer player, she is one of the best in the nation. Being a freshmen she is tormented by the seniors hazing rituals.
Liam Wilder is an infamous soccer player and know as a bad boy by his own rights. When he volunteers to coach the female soccer team he never expected the attraction he would feel towards Kinsley. He can't ever cross the line because he knows it would damage her career and tarnish his. But when he finds the attraction is mutual, he finds it hard to resist.

This was definitely a laugh out loud book at times. The banters exchanged between the female soccer players had me laughing so hard I was crying. Really liked this book!

Scoring Wilder was funny and witty read. I enjoyed every minute of this book. First we have Kinsely, boy she was something else, she's sarcastic, beautiful and funny as hell, throw her soccer team mate and friend Becca in the mix and what a book we have. I swear my stomach hurt so much from laughing my ass off while reading. Kinsley didn't know that once she laid eyes on world renowned soccer player Liam Wilder that she would fall for him and boy did she fall. Even though they tried to keep things at arms length how is that possible when they share such great chemistry, what a chemistry that was, boy, once R.S got to the sex scenes I thought my iPad was going to spontaneous combust. Another favorite of mine was the dynamic duo that was Becca and Kinsley's friendship, they had sooooo many moments that I can't even being to list them, one was when they went to the costume party and kept picturing that scene in my head. Then Becca and her onesie pajamas, have mercy. We Lao get to see Kinsley and Liam try to battle the negativity that come with a relationship when you're in the public eye. Overall this book have got to be another one of my favorites this year because I love a book that can make me laugh and R.S Grey did that, great writing with an awesome story line, as I sit here writing this review I can honestly say that I miss Kinsley and Becca already.

This is by far my top read this year thus far! It’s laugh out loud funny and everything you’d like to have as a girl. Great friends, hot coach, and she's a top athlete!

Kinsley is young and has had terrible luck with the two boyfriends she’s had. Cheating seemed to be more their type of thing. She meets Becca and Emily as part of ULA Soccer and quickly joins forces with them. This trio is full on entertainment in this book. I almost swore briefly that this book was about this amazing trio of friends. Then came along Liam Wilder. Hot damn! Lol.
He’s at the peak of his soccer career and everything a girl can dream about….literally in poor Kinsley’s case. Unfortunately, for Kinsley, her fantastic friend, Becca, likes to instigate things. One major problem, he’s now their coach…..

Everything about this story makes it my top book, from the plot to the humor to abs to sex swings on the side of the field. Um, I mean this a fantastic coming of age story 

Every time, I read RS Grey’s books they are funnier than the last and become a new addition to my top favorite authors/books list. I commend her on this fantastic novel and love where her mind takes us in each of her books. I full heartedly give this book 5 stars plus 5 more on sheer genius and the best humor in a book I've read in awhile.

Kinsley Bryant a 19 year old Collage Star athlete, and a top contender to be an Olympic player on America’s soccer team, has earned this honor through hard work and dedication. How she has remained grounded and humble has her fellow team mates snubbing her and her talents.

Things start to turn when in walks professional soccer player Liam Wilder, bad boy turned reformed bad boy, and Kinsley’s off limits coach. Sparks fly when they meet, but both know the risks, both know that acting on their impulses would ruin her chances at her lifelong dreams, and may just put an end to his career.

When the connection starts to heat up, will they make the best decision for their future, or go down a rode of forbidden territory.
This book had it all, absolutely incredible writing where I was looking forward to my date with my kindle and the unforgettable characters. The hilarious banter that will spring up at any given time, will make you laugh out loud, you will be an embarrassment to anyone around you!

The Story line was clever and original, the relationships between all characters were so rich, they made me earn for the story to keep going.

Sexy, romantic, intoxicating Love Story….Don’t miss it. It is considered one of my top reads of the year. — with S.R. Grey.

Don't you just love it when you are so surprised by how good a book is? I mean sure, you expect to at least like it - I think that's what we're all hoping for whenever we start a new book - but to be this good? Color me pink, I was knocked on my behind.

I loved Kinsley from the very beginning. She's a take-no-crap and determined girl that knows what she wants. Becca always cracked me up, she's the perfect BFF.

And Mr. Wilder... Coach Wilder... Hot and sweet and definitely swoon-worthy! He got Kinsley's crazy-ness, he embraced it and made it his.

I liked the dynamic between the main characters, how Wilder didn't give up and there's a bit of forbidden romance going on until it becomes 'official'. That man loves Kinsley and they're perfect for each other.

This book has convinced me to read R.S. Grey's other works. I'm giving this book 4 1/5 stars and I really want to thank the author for all the good laughs she gave me with it.

I'm not much of a sports reading girl of any kind usually, but just happend to see this book promoted on one of the book blog/page's on FB. The blog owner claimed that they had read it and that it was surprisingly good. So... I bit. I got the book after reading the synopsis and decided I could use something different to read. I found myself enjoying the story of Kinsley and Liam. This is definitely New Adult, but I didn't find that an issue for me. I usually tend to read Contemporary or I should say, books with characters a little older than college age. It was a well written story and flowed nicely which kept my attention on the story. I started reading this before bed one night late and finished the next day. It was a refreshing romance story. I loved Liam and Kinsley and enjoyed the back story of Becca and Penn even if this wasn't their story. The book starts out with Kinsley starting her first year at college and her first year on her college soccer team. She meets Liam Wilder at a college party the night before her first practice and there are sparks between the two.. However.. Because Liam plays professional soccer there in LA and is trying to tame back some of his "bad boy ways" he's also going to be temporarily helping out Kinsley's college soccer team as one of her assistant coaches.. This is obviously a problem because... You guessed it... They aren't allowed to date. You've got sexual tension between the two as they fight their obvious attraction. The mean girls that have it out for her, being one of the new rookies of the team who get quite nasty and with their jealousy which causes some pretty crappy situations for Kinsley. On top of this, she has to deal with the ex boyfriend she walked in on while he was in the middle of cheating on her. All in all, this story has lots going on and definitely will keep you reading to see how things pan out for Kinsley. Oh and Liam too! Can't forget about Liam! ;)

I've never read this authors work prior to this book and I will definitely be checking her author page on FB etc.. And watch for future books. I totally recommend reading this book if your looking for an enjoyable read with good story.

Sassy 19 yr old freshman soccer player and Olympic hopeful falls for 25 yr old pro soccer star/Olympian who is trying to clean up his wild image. They're attracted to each other, but it's forbidden since he's now a volunteer coach for her soccer team. Then all sorts of drama ensues with hazing, jealous teammates, the media, etc.

This was funny, but I had a lot of issues with some of the snappy dialogue which is better spoken out loud rather than written in black and white. I was unaware that professional soccer had that much of a media circus surrounding it in the US. I was also hoping for something more serious about the hazing storyline. Hazing is a HUGE issue on college campuses relative to the sports teams and while the situation got cleared up, I wanted more.

I hated the epilogues and spoiler alert, Becca and Penn wait A YEAR before having sex???? What???? Becca was actually more vulnerable than we were initially led to believe and I'm not sure that this storyline was necessary in this book. It felt like a story for a spinoff book, especially if they waited A YEAR.

Scoring Wilder begins with Kinsley Bryant starting a soccer before college starts. She's training to be in the Olympics, and she doesn't need any distractions but that all changes when she realizes Liam Wilder is going to be her COACH! Liam Wilder is America's favorite bad boy soccer player, and for a few months he's going to be Kinsley's coach. Liam's world also changed when he met Kinsley, but neither of them realized exactly what was going to happen once they started a relationship.

This book was really good, and it was really surprising. I kind of expected it to be a little bit high on the drama, but it really wasn't. That doesn't mean that it got boring, because it didn't at all. But it there wasn't a huge drama where you wanted to yell at the characters for making stupid choices. This book was funny, exciting, and smooth. The main characters had great chemistry, and a few pretty dirty scenes that were awesome. Then you also have the side characters who rocked, and had their own romance as well. I loved this book. It was a lot better than what I was expecting, and it was a fun nice easy read.

SCORING WILDER is my first R.S. Grey novel. I've been intrigued since I first saw the cover and read the blurb. I love a good angsty, new adult romance. This book is hot. It's funny. It's so sickly addicting. I could not stop reading. I stayed up til 4AM to finish this and then was so sad it was over! Total book hanger for days, but SO worth it!

Liam Wilder is in the spotlight with his high end soccer career. The paparazzi follow him everywhere and has deemed him a "bad boy." His reputation has risked his sponsorships, so he must clean up his act. He has now volunteered as the coach's assistant on Kinsley's soccer team.

The night before their first practice is Kinsley's 19th birthday. That is where she first meets Liam...add in some alcohol and you have a funny, flirty Kinsley. However, it's not till she learns Liam is her new coach that sobers her right up. And now he was off-limits.

Scoring Wilder is the full package. The characters are extremely well-developed and likable. The sexual tension is there, the angst, the jealousy--it's all wrapped up into a perfect NA romance.

~5 Stars! Highly recommend!~

I was so excited to get to read this book after reading With This Heart because I became an instant fan of R.S. Grey, but this one just didn't 'wow' me. I'm always one to read about a hot guy getting tamed by a girl, but this one left me wanting more.

Kinsley was hopeful she would make it into the Olympics but little did she know Coach Wilder would change her world. She set out to seduce him but never figured falling for him into her plan.

Liam was oh so hot but I really couldn't have a good connection with him. He never figured on a relationship until Kinsley came along and I really enjoyed her but just fell flat with him.

Nonetheless, I will always be a fan of R.S. and am looking forward to any more books she publishes.

Advance Readers Copy (ARC) provided for my blog for an honest review from the author

Holy mother of Liam Wilder! This book is amazing. totally 5+ stars. I don't even know where to begin because honestly it was "THAT GOOD". Mrs grey got me hooked at 5% in and I have to say she is one of new favorite indie author. And I'm seriously gonna stalker her for new coming releases.

That said.

I've very honored to get a review copy because I love this book everything about it. All the characters were relatable even the secondary characters and Liam Wilder, Where do I even begin to start with him. he was P-E-R-F-E-C-T! in every sense of the word. he was protective, funny, and gorgeous and actually didn't push the heroine away like all the books I've been reading. He can be my coach anyday. This book was just so heart felt, that I felt every emotion. I was having a problem of putting this book down I just needed to finish it. I wanted to devour it.
This is one of the best books of 2014 and I'm not just saying that. Thank you R.S. Grey for making me laugh while reading this

Dear Author R.S. Grey:

I want to marry Liam Wilder. I want him to be mine. I want to lick his abs, have hot, sweaty sex with him, and bask in his sweetness and love. Well, I'd want to be his "one" if Kinsley wasn't so perfect for him... but since she is, I hope they live happily ever after--and Tara gets her face stomped on by an elephant.

With great affection for your humor,

Anne

Seriously, this book was hilarious! I laughed out loud and at first my family looked at me like I was crazy, eventually they just kept rolling their eyes. I loved this book! I couldn't put it down... it was so bad that I didn't want to even go to the bathroom! This was my first book by this author and it will NOT be my last. I've already started buying up the backlist. Great storyline, sexy characters, hot sex, amazing humor, fast-paced... this book has it all.

Soccer is one of my favorite sports so a book that has both soccer and a hot bad-boy is a win-win for me. So Kinsley Bryant is just starting off her college soccer career. She goes to this party and meets one of the hottest and talented male soccer players Liam Wilder. The attraction is instant but then it is revealed that Liam is going to be one of her coaches so of course any intention from either must not come to fruition. From then on, the book sets off on the forbidden attraction between Liam and Kinsley and how that affects everything and everyone around them. I did enjoy this book quite a bit. There were definitely some comic relief that got me to put a smile on my face. There was some drama because of their forbidden romance but it made the book that much more interesting and I wanted to see how everything would be resolved. Liam and Kinsley were good lead characters and some of the side characters were just as great. Overall, this is a good light-hearted funny read that you will enjoy!

I kept picturing Beckham whenever Kinsley talked about Liam and his hotness. I liked this story for a few reasons. It's not often that the heroine is an athlete, and I find that refreshing. The humor throughout this book is entertaining. Kinsley sounded mature for a 19 year old when she was able to handle some issues related to relationships and fame and dedication, but sometimes she acted her age as well with some of her silliness. I liked that. The attraction between Liam and Kinsley was good. There wasn't forced jealousy and angst-filled scenario. That felt like a breath of fresh air to me. So tired of those stories. Oh, and what really made me laugh was when Kinsley made that analogy about George Clooney. Haha, that analogy is no longer valid!
This book was entertaining and I'd recommend it. Just wish someone would clean up some of the typos.

BACK TO MY REVIEW =)
Warning: Do not read this book when you're in bed and with two kids sleeping. WHY?
1. Because you'll probably wake the kids sleeping when you laugh out TOO loud, in my case I bite my palm. Bahaha
2. Reading this before bedtime is a No! NO!, that is if you don't want to be a zombie the next day because the few chapters of reading turns out to be an all nighter.
(Gah! I really stink in giving reviews. )
Kidding aside, I enjoyed this book... SO MUCH, a very light read, funny, romantic and I just live how it is wittingly written plus the fact that Liam is described so hot...
I highly recommend this to those who wants to a light read and need a good laugh!
Amazing job RS Grey and I couldn't wait to read more of your books soon!

This book was the perfect combination of funny, sexy & swoony, topped off with just the right amount of drama you get in a book that involves a sexy coach of a woman's soccer team.

Liam Wilder is all kinds of swoon and I immediately fell for him. Kinsley is the talented soccer player who falls for the soccer star. Getting involved with Liam is out of the question, but their chemistry is undeniable and addictive that I just needed to keep reading to see where on earth it was heading. This book took me on a ride I really loved. The I felt the emotions one would feel when falling for someone who you just cannot be with. RS' writing style is fantastic and very easy to follow. In some parts I found myself getting lost in this story-- having a love of soccer myself-- I enjoyed the sports element of it immensely.

I have been a huge fan of RS' since the beginning and this book was just what the doctor ordered. It's fun, light, sexy, funny and so enjoyable.

4.5++ STARS TO LIAM WILDER!!! <3 <3

LOVED the main character- she was tenacious, driven, independent and didn't take crap from anyone, especially the team caption. Some of the phrases had me laughing out loud, especially "How should I say....the pillow pain train pulled into the station" when she was having a pillow fight. Quirky and random, just like her.

Wilder- your stereotypical bad-ass soccer play with the tats and looks that go along with it. I loved how driven and protective he was.

I enjoyed all of the characters and hope Becca and Penn get their own book, or even novella because I loved how they worked with the plot.

I wish the story had more too it. I felt like everything was over by the halfway point and very little drama occurred to keep the story interesting. Then the last few pages shoved all these conclusions that were a little too happy and perfect, though I did appreciated the second epilogue "because I can"...love when the author's humor shows through like that.

First time I've read anything by this author, it won't be the last. This is a very enjoyable romance about a nineteen year old college student Kinsley, she plays soccer, she's talented and hoping to make the Olympic team. Liam is is soccer player as well and is seven years older than Kinsley, he's helping to coach the girls soccer team partime. He's sexy, gorgeous and is off limits. There's a definite spark of attraction between him and Kinsley. But there's trouble in store from the jealous team captain Tara.

This is a fast paced story with very well defined characters, Kinsley is feisty with a very upbeat personality, her character was well rounded, I liked how she had her moments of behaving like a teenage girl but knew when to behave like a grownup. Liam is the ideal hero IMO. He's thoughtful and kind, but still pulls off the sexy bad boy image as well. I liked the sub plot with Becca and Penn that was an added bonus. This is romantic, sexy and has plenty of drama and angst. A recommended read.

Liam was off Limits, he was the forbidden fruit...
But sometimes forbidden is the best kind.

Kensley had goals
1. Make the Olympic Soccer Team
2. Stay clear from men...they lied, they cheated and they weren't worth the effort.

So why was Liam the one guy she couldn't turn away from?
Sure he was HOT...Sexy and a master at the game of Soccer...but he was also her coach.

This story was an enjoyable red. I really enjoyed the relationship between Kensley and her BF Becca.
I love the banter back and forth between the characters it was relaxing and funny.

Without spoiling this book for anyone I will leave you with a few key points.

It has some heat and some game. It is fast paced and I was left feeling like the story was complete.

I freaking LOVED this book and it was a total surprise for me! I have never read anything by R.S. Grey and just recently started hearing buzz for Scoring Wilder. When the opportunity came to review and I had a quick break in my schedule I figured “why not”. I am sooooooo glad I did. I was immediately sucked in and could not put it down. Ms. Grey’s writing style was perfect, the characters were well thought out and developed, storyline was so fun and had the perfect amount of drama with a whole lot of sexy fun thrown in. It is the perfect summer read and I am almost sad that I am done. I loved Kinsley and Liam. I loved the fact that Kinsley is a strong young woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to work hard for it. It is a breath of fresh air. Liam may be labeled as “the bad boy” of soccer but I found him to be an amazing character. All in all I am so glad I bit the bullet and jumped on this one. You will not regret it.

This book had a great build up to the relationship, the steam and the commitment. It was realistic, but with beautiful, funny, sexy, athletes. I love the humor throughout and the connection the characters have. Nothing seems forced.
Kinsley is an up and coming soccer star. Liam is a professional soccer player and is her coach. Forbidden fruit, so why can't she stay away.

This entire book felt rushed and more suitable as a novella. A lot of the characters seemed to be named purely to be "hip" and "modern".

Kinsley was not very relatable and even her friendships seemed half-assed. Liam was good, if pretty shallow. The villain was funny, but her comeuppance ending was really the best part.

If you're starting with this book: don't worry, it gets better b/c you finish with "A Place in the Sun."

Simply loved this book. The author did a great job of combining humor, attraction, love, hot sex and great characters. I loved how the author portrayed the h and her girlfriends. Loved the scene on the couch when he asked her to be his girl....swoon worthy, lol. And Liam was hot and the perfect boyfriend. The character was 19; however, her behavior and character was beyond 19. So, if you might be wondering about the YA aspect, don't worry. This story transcend age...you will find this story enjoyable and it will take you back to that time when it was simply about falling in love with all the happiness and insecurities that falling in love entails. The secondary characters of Becca and Emily would have made great follow-up stories. And the author was very funny...great internal dialogue and comments.....had me laughing out loud and smiling during the story. This would make a great movie!

ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

Ms. Grey has done it again with another outstanding book! She's got a way of writing the male character in a way that, when you read the book synopsis you'd think the guy would be a d-bag tool, but he always ends up being the exact opposite and you're left with a great story that stays with you long after you've finished (I still remember Jude and Charley from her first book "Behind His Lens").

Kinsley has a quick wit and a sassy attitude (but in a funny way, not the kind where you want to slap her), but she's definitely there for her friends without hesitation. Liam may or may not be the bad boy the public thinks he is (but he's still nonetheless); they both try to ignore the attraction to each other, but the heart wants what the heart wants.

You need this book. Now. Don't hesitate. Don't overthink it. Just 1-click it!

R.S. Grey, you're officially on my radar! *snaps* This book was pretty damn awesome. It was romantic, sexy, and hilarious. The pace, the dialogue, and the ending were just right. Although there was an epilogue, I'd love a novella of some sort. If there is one thing I need to warn people about this book, it's that Kinsley (heroine) is freakin awesome. She's the best and I want one of her to keep in my pocket. It's so rare that I like a female lead character, but I honestly love her. She's smart, witty, funny, and omg she has common sense! You really can't not love her. While Liam (hero) isn't the bad boy I expected, he's still just perfection. He and Kinsley had a bit of an insta-love going on, but it was done in such a natural way that I can't complain about it. Their relationship, their journey made me feel giddy and sappy. I loved them! Read this book... Now!

Kinsley was out to win her dream.. Everything was falling into place, except her love life that is. After leaving her second cheating boyfriend she was on to her true dream- Soccer & Olympics. She was at her chosen school with the top college players. Here she was going to make her mark, forget boys and get noticed....for soccer that is. Who knew that all her confidence would rub people the wrong way. Now not only does she have teammates as enemies but now the hottest pro soccer player was going to help coach. Now if she could just focus on soccer and not Liam.
This story is not full of too many surprises but is a really good fun read. Kinsley and her friends have a light fun banter that keeps you reading. I enjoy Ms. Grey's characters and enjoy the fact that the book gets to an end...no cliffhangers or trilogy waiting for months for the next book.

I can't believe that this book had over 400 pages.. I read this book in about 5 hours because I couldn't put it down. It was that good! I loved about reading a girl who actually plays soccer because isn't typically the kind of sport girls would play. So yeah I loved that! And I loved the fact that a good soccer girl player met a fantastic boy soccer player. Liam Wilder was displayed as a wild, hot, girl player. Yeah sure of course he is hot but he definitely wasn't being a player at all! I loved him all through the book and I can't stand players at all.

I read until 3am when I physically just had to put the book down. I mean hell, even I need sleep on occasion. I really liked this story and our main characters. I was reading right along, laughing with them, internally yelling at Kinsley (with love), but at some point I realized nothing was happening. It's a great love story and I would recommend it to so many people in a heartbeat, but don't expect any read drama (no one is kidnapped, darn it) and it never gets too angsty that you think you're heart is going to stop. Yet, the story is both refreshing (the comedy) and sad (the angst) at the same time, a great combination.

Scoring Wilder is a funny romantic book. If you're looking for a good laugh I'd highly recommend you one-clicks this one today.

I randomly came across this book a couple months ago and loved it, so much so that while going back to reread it I'm actually working a review, something I rarely do! I really enjoy RS Grey's writing style and several times read funny lines back to my husband, another thing I never do.

The author created likable, multi-faceted characters, the plot and twists aren't completely unrealistic, and natural sounding dialogue. I've read all of RS Grey's books now (Scoring Wilder was definitely my favorite) and you can tell for each book sure does a lot of research into soccer/heart transplants etc so things aren't completely fabricated or unrealistic. I'll definitely be one-clicking future books from this author!

When badboy famous soccer player meets up-rising soccer player, you would normally expect competition. However, love starts to occur.

Kinsley first meets Liam at a party. She is unaware he is going to be her coach and tries to get in his pants. Though, just because he is her coach does not mean she will stop trying to seduce to too-hot-to-not-fuck coach.

Liam meets Kinsley. At first, he cannot keep his eye off of her. He knows that he will be her coach, but he is unable to not get a taste of her.

Will they both be able to survive the relationship that happens or will they decide to give it up for their careers?

It was cute. The characters were cute. It was just not really believable. Kinsley didn't seem 19 at all. Wilder didn't seem 25 at all. She was too mature at times and hen the right amount of immature. He was the same but opposite. It was weird. And their relationship wasn't built on anything we saw, or it was and it was super shallow. It just didn't seem like they had a reason to like each other so much. I liked the story, I liked finding out what happened. It just didn't feel right. It was a cute read, just unconvincing.

Scoring Wilder by R.S. Grey

I loved this book. Kingsley and Liam were both soccer stars. Kingsley was told to stay away from Liam because he was her coach. They felt the instant attraction to each other before she knew he would be the coach. Liam had a past of womanizing and Kingsley did not think he would change his ways for her.

Liam is willing to put everything on the line for Kingsley and I loved that about this book. He helps her train for the Olympics as well as stands up for her against bullies. Kingsley also has a back bone and will only take so much before she fights back. This book had some funny moments as well as very hot moments. Loved it

One of the things that excites me most when starting a new book is the chemistry between the characters. RS Grey is a master of chemistry, especially in Scoring Wilder. I'm not talking about just the chemistry between Kinsley and Liam either, although that was scorching! I also loved the chemistry between Becca and Kinsley. Their friendship had me laughing out loud so many times my family thought I was crazy. I thought the tension between Senior Mean Girl Tara and the rookies was perfect. Just the right amount of hatred. Haha. If you're in the mood to laugh and swoon over professional soccer players then this book is definitely the one you should buy! I couldn't put it down.

This book was so funny! I love when a book makes me laugh(even if it's not that hard). The characters were so real and relatable I would totally wanna be friends with them. The soccer and Olympics is what had drawn me to this story but it wasn't an in your face sports sports sports story. Plenty of drama(Josh and Tara I CAN'T). The ending though...bummed me out. Not fully but if you're so inclined to read this(i hope you are!) I'd think you could figure out what might have me wishing some things were changed in the edit/rewrite process. It took me a little longer to read this book than most. It was a good read, but could have left a lot of stuff out. It wasn't so much about 'scoring wilder' as it was about 'scoring soccer/the Olympics' Talked a lot about soccer & training for the Olympics. No real villain plot climax, seemed to be in story because it's expected. What bothered me too is that the author didn't show Kinsley getting to know Liam, she only knows 'of' him. Becca & Penn's story seemed more interesting honestly. Maybe writing their story? I would read that.

This was my second RS Grey book. I do enjoy them. But what I find interesting is that she creates strong talented women and there are these wonderful fun relationships in the books. But they are not entirely between the female and male leads of the story. In Duet it was between 2 sisters. In this book its between Kinsley and her friends as well as the social fun of the soccer world. But we really don't know much about what makes either Kinsley or Liam tick. I would love to understand the lead characters better. Overall I enjoy RS Grey's novels, but I feel like she could make her characters more well defined.

This book is filled with a whole lot of nothing. It started off humorous, but that was just not enough to make up for the shallowness of the characters, the insta-love, and the lack of a plot. I am truly befuddled by the amount of 5 star ratings this book has gotten. I read another book by this author awhile back that was really great, but this one just did not live up to my expectations at all.

This is one of those books I had been dying to read. R.S. Grey writes some pretty great books, but I'm pretty sure this was hands down so far!!! The build up of between the characters actually gave me butterflies in my own stomach. Kinsley is such a strong leading lady, and I loved that part of her. She had goals, dreams, and a lot of motivation. Liam, well, lets just say I have a new appreciation for soccer now :) This book hooked me and had me telling myself, "just one more chapter", and pretty soon it was way past my bedtime, and I couldn't stop. I can't wait to read more from R.S. Grey, and I would highly recommend Scoring Wilder!

Scoring Wilder is a sexy, hilarious, coming-of-age romance between an up and coming soccer-star hopeful (Kinsley Bryant) wanting to make the Olympic tryouts, and soccer's best and baddest star (Liam Wilder).

Kinsley has been cheated on by two boyfriends in a row, but she doesn't become "woe is me" and I love this about her. She's one of the few non-annoying female main characters in books aimed for women. Early on we meet one of the seniors, Tara—best described is a word that rhymes with witch—who has it out for Kinsley. Kinsley gets treated like dirt by her, and contemplates speaking out, but also from the start of the novel she crushes on Liam Wilder, and it's soon apparent they have a thing. Kinsley can't shake her attraction for Liam, and soon we see that the attraction goes both ways. Everything becomes twisted in the quest to have Liam, to not get him in trouble, or her, and to stay out of Tara's evil games.

Liam Wilder is helping out with the girl's soccer team. He's been in hot water with his sponsors and needs to clean up his act. So here is is helping out when he gets to know Kinsley. Things become intimate and hot with the two of them and their practically forbidden relationship, him being coach and all.

If you're looking for a light comedy with a sexy side, Scoring Wilder is your novel. I loved reading it. It was easy and addictive, and nothing stupid happened as a plot device in order to keep the story going. Becca, as Kinsley's sidekick, is funny and keeps the scenes moving, adding much of the comedic relief in the story. The relationship between our main characters doesn't start up right away, instead there is interest that turns to angst, and angst that turns into many very satisfying scenes.

From about 70% onwards, though, the story seemed to have tied up mostly. It didn't drag, but I did read that last ~ 1/3 of the novel wondering what would pop out and ruin things because most of it was happy and dandy. It felt a bit strange, because I felt like I would pay later for getting awesome scenes without anything standing between Kinsley and Liam. In the end, other little things were tied up, but the ending did feel a bit ... anticlimactic? I enjoyed it, but it still had that sense to it.

Great book overall!

I really enjoyed this book and the characters in it. A soccer team and a pro player, what could be better?? Soccer players are hot and Liam Wilder is no exception. Kinsley is the top college draft ladies soccer player, as well as voted #1 best looking female athlete in the NCAA so she's no slouch in the looks department either. The attraction is smouldering between Coach Wilder
( volunteer coach) and the #1 gal. The rules are broken and they are together. The paparazzi love to make up scandals and Liam and Kins are in the middle of a huge one. They find a way, they are in love, and the rest is history.

At first I thought the book was a little slow, it took me a few chapters to really get into it. This book is so funny. Becca and Kinsley are hilarious. There were moments I was literally laughing out loud. I love that even though Kinsley and Liam had an immediate attraction that she didn't just jump into bed with him right away even though the opportunity presented itself. The relationships in the book seem more like real life which make the characters and story so much more relatable. I also love that the book was a long one. Overall greY read!

I was given this book for an honest review. This book absolutely consumed my every moment until I finished it. This is what I like to call a bad mommy book.
In this you will meet Liam Wilder and Kinsley Bryant. Kinsley is a freshman starting on a new team, where Liam is a professional soccer team, helping coach Kinsley's team. Which of course means NO.
I absolutely loved the chemistry between these characters. You could just feel the love pouring out of the pages.
As always R.S. Never fails to pull me in and keep me there. This author is quickly becoming one of my go-to authors...

Nineteen year old Kinsley is focused on her college soccer career and trying out for the Olympic team. Liam is a professional soccer player who is helping coach Kinsley's team. They meet at a party the night before the first practice so Kinsley is not aware when she's flirting with Liam he'll be off limits. Kinsley is afraid of dating again because her last two boyfriends cheated on her. Who doesn't love a sexy book with two hot athletes hooking up? This was my prime book for August. Perfect for anyone who likes to read books where everyone gets what they want.

OMG!!!! I haven't laughed so hard reading a book for a few months! Scoring Wilder was my first introduction to R.S. Grey, and truth be told I actually purchased it because even though I don't play soccer (aka football) I have gotten to know it over the past few years thanks to a few of the guys I know that actually do play professionally. I loved that this book was written more from the female perspective of the game though.

Reading the excerpt I discovered one day had me laughing within the first 10 minutes! Let me tell you, Kinsley, Becca, Liam, Penn, Em and the rest of the gang are hilarious when they get around each other...I loved how Grey developed each character from the start, there is something completely refreshing about having a main character who is full of ballsy confidence and charisma...Kinsley definitely provided major comedic relief...not to mention anytime she was around Becca, Hilarity ensued.

I really loved how each relationship had their own twists and turns, or bumps to overcome, and how she actually brought a good story line into play. "She thought she could so she did."

I for one am hoping there will be a continuation of the story as there was another story as yet to be determined. ;-)

I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to laugh while reading a good book...or even for the footy fan at heart. <3

This story was so much more than I expected!!! Kinsley may be beautiful and athletic, even famous, but she was a normal girl at heart with normal-girl issues and totally relate-able. And so funny!! Her inner dialogue cracked me up, because it's what most of us would be thinking, just never admit to! And Liam was STEAM burning my fingers as I held my Kindle. That's how hot he was..I may even have panted a time or two. Not that I counted. Just a fun book altogether, with young-adult angst and snark, and CHEMISTRY!!! Would definitely read more by R.S. Grey.

This was my first book by R.S. Grey but it most definitely will not be my last! First off I have never been a fan of soccer, but now I am! HOT guys in shorts; yeah need I say more?! Second the characters were strong and so real. They had just the right amount of drama that kelp the pages turning, but the best part is how it keep a smile on my face. I love to laugh but hate silly book. This book mad me laugh out loud, snicker and even snort through my nose a few times. So if you like hot sport stars, a little drama and a good laugh well then this is the book for you!

I loved this book! This one is easily one of my favorite NA romances thus far this year. I'm a big fan of R.S. because her stories are engaging, real, and capture your imagination. Kinsley was the perfect heroine. She was humorous, intelligent, and flawed. Liam was every girl's dream guy. A great mixture of sporty & cocky, and caring & honest. Together, they make one hot couple! The book had me laughing and screaming in frustration!! But I loved every bit of it. A total must-read.

Smart Sexy Fun read- Kinsley is the hottest rookie soccer player recruited by all the top colleges. She has the Olympics in her sights and has been burned twice by past boyfriends for cheating on her. Men are not on her radar. Kinsley meets sexy bad boy Liam Wilder professional soccer player that is assistant coach of her team. He is off limits...neither can keep away from each other. Again RS Grey writes some smart hilarious banter between characters Love her work.

The author has such a great sense of humor it bleeds through the whole book, making Kens' monologue in her head funny as heck. It also makes the characters interesting. Almost every famous names were brought into the story, from Miley to Edward Cullen to even the great Dalai Lama and none could feel offended. These humor makes the characters lovely and lively. It makes it easy to continue reading and abandon sleep just to get to the next page.

All the characters were so lovable. Well... except one.

My only complaint/request is that I wish it was an alternate point of view book - I would have loved to read some of Liam's pov. Maybe R.S. I really really liked this book! What I liked the best was that there was drama and angst but through all of it Liam and Kinsley never threw in the towel. So many love stories you turn the page waiting for someone to get mad or upset and flee and even Kinsley with her trust issues and the photos never really gave it a second thought...I just found that refreshing! The humor in the book was great too...Kinsley and Becca remind me of the humor between me and my best friend so I found myself smiling just a lil more!

R.S. Grey creates a great villain. Her antagonist was brutal, and away fast enough that it helped build the story, but didn't detract from it. Liam is a pleasure, in my mind, he's simply adorable - even his mom is someone I want in my family. But Kinsley stole the show. Her inner dialogue is amazing, totally 19 and brilliantly scripted. Nancy Draw the shades? ... Wait, what? A line I will use forever!! Just buy the book now, set aside the day and call yourself happy.

My second novel by R.S. Grey was another winner. Soccer's bad boy, Liam Wilder, volunteers his time for the local university and meets aspiring player Kinsley Bryant. Not only is she barely nineteen, but he's now one of her coaches making this a slightly forbidden love story. This was a sexy, quick read with lots of build-up that explodes as Kinsley and Liam realize each other is THE ONE. Add lots of humor and a little suspense as they try to keep their relationship hidden from her teammates, coach, the press, and the world. The only quibble I have, and it's a small one, is she IS so young. There are times that her immaturity shows, and when David Beckham is in my head as Liam (ha!), It makes you wonder what Liam sees in her. He has to put up with a lot! Loved this and will continue seeking out R.S. Grey's books.

First book I read by R.S. Grey, and I was HOOKED. I highly recommend reading this or even any book by her. The books are filed with sassy female leads that end up in comical situations throughout the books. Not only is Scoring Wilder a college sports romance its funny AF and the characters are often overly dramatic *like most college females, hint hint, ME*. Kinsley and her friends and team mates make the book such a great read and RS Grey captures it perfectly.

meh! There was some great tension scenes where Kinsley and Liam tried to fight their attraction, but the rest of the story wasn't all that interesting.

This story has a lot of great reviews so maybe this just wasn't my cup of tea.

Kinsley our MC is the next hottest thing in the women's soccer world. She is 19, comes from a wealthy family, looks like a model and was highly recruited my a top soccer program. The first thing we learn about her is that her last two boyfriends were douche's. Cheaters. She actually walks in on them, in the act.

I felt for her unlucky in love plight, but I didn't really like her as a character.

Liam is the bad boy of the soccer world. In an effort to repair his reputation he volunteers to coach for the women's soccer team. As a character I found him interesting enough but I liked him more in the beginning than at the end.

First of all, some of the things Kinsley says/thinks and does are absolutely hilarious. Then putting her and Becca together… I laughed so hard i was in tears. Three words to describe why i loved their relationship: karate chopping and shimmying.

Basically, if you have a sarcastic and sometimes immature sense of humor like me… you better READ THIS BOOK because I promise youll love it.

Loved it! As soon as I read the description, I was like, yep, 1-click! I had to read it right away and wasn't disappointed. I love sexy, funny romances and if you can include sports in it, I'm in even more. This was the first time I've read this author and I will definitely be coming back for more. If there is not a sequel to this book, or even better a whole series, I might cry from withdrawal. Please write more with these characters. Please!!! Seriously, I'm un ugly crier. You don't want that on your conscience.

What a funny, sweet, loving, and sexy story. Kinsley and Becca are hilarious! I wanted to move in the house and become their BFF.

Liam is swoon worthy. He and Kinsley are the best couple. I couldn't put this book down. Thank you R.S. Grey.

This book was a lot of fun. I like the soccer theme. There are so many books with baseball, football or boxing athletes. So this was a refreshing change. I really liked Kinsley's personality and attitude. She was hilarious and was a great fit for Wilder. Fun and light read. Based on ths, I'll be reading other books from this author. Thank you Kindle Unlimited!!

Best way to describe this book is sexy! You fall in love with these two athletes and can't stop routing for them! The author really has a way with words and told her story with a ton of humor. I really enjoyed the entire read! Looking forward to other books by this author!

One of my favorite books in a long time. I'm so glad I stumbled across this in the recommended pages of another book I was reading. I was not expecting how amazing this book was. The characters were lovable. Yes another sports romance. But so much better than others.

I really loved this book but one reason is because it was literally, laugh out loud, funny. there are very few books who can actually make this happen for me so for that reason alone I give it high stars! But then it was so much more. Loved the storyline, the friendships and the romance. I read this book in one day because I couldn't put it down. highly recommend! *This book needs a companion novel so we can get the details about Penn & Becca :)

So after not feeling a book i was reading i put it down and decided on Scoring Wilder. Perfect book to pick my reading spirits backup. Any book that references Harry Potter lines and spells and has sarcastic humor is definitely a book i will be rereading and recommending

This was a super cute read! Found myself grinning from ear to ear and even sometime laughing out loud at her snippy, quirky inner thoughts! And oh man was the chemistry between them super HOT!! If young love, hot soccer players, and steamy chemistry is something you look for in a book then look no further!

This book is by far one of the better books I've read in a good while. It's about a college girl who has Olympic soccer aspirations, meeting a guy who plays professional soccer and is a coach at her school falling in love. This girl and her best friend get into all sorts of hilarious situations and I had a good laugh at least once per chapter. I couldn't put it down.

Scoring Wilder is a quick read about two soccer players and how they fell in love. There is not a lot of character development and you will need to fill in some of the blanks. Liam is a current soccer star who is attracted to an up and coming star. The plot has a couple of twists just to shake things up a bit. Great vacation read.

i dont think ive ever laughed so hard so hard reading a book. I loved all the main characters, but i think my favorites are Becca, Liam, and obviously Kinsley.

The book was fantastic in every way. The characters were relatable and hilarious and the struggles were realistic in the setting. I fell in love with Kinsley and Liam and was ready to gouge Tara's eyes out. I'd recommend this to anyone in high school or early college, especially all the soccer girls out there who dream of being the most recruited player in the nation and dating Cristiano Ronaldo! Even if you don't know the first thing about soccer, you'll still enjoy the Harry Potter and Game of Thrones references casually tossed in.

I really enjoyed this book. Kinsley, a college freshman soccer player, is witty and entertaining. I loved her sarcastic humor. Liam is a sexy and demanding pro soccer star, but he's also very sweet. The book has a fun mix of soccer, college & parties, girl drama, and romance. Cleverly written and enjoyable!

Scoring Wilder was not the book for me. I can see why others really enjoyed it, but it is just not my sense of humor. It is kind of like The Hangover or something like that. Many people love that movie and find it hilarious, my friends included, but it is just okay to me. I don't find it as funny as most others seem to. Same with this book. It just was not my humor so it wasn't as amazing as most other people seem to think. So yeah that was my main issue with this book.

So what about the story itself? Well that is hard. I could see where it is supposed to be light and fun and funny, but it just seemed like it was trying too hard for me. Liam is this super sexy, famous soccer player and Kinsley is the bright up and comer who is starting her first year at college. She is the all ready to be the next big name in women's soccer. Why did Liam and Kinsley like each other? Well I don't really know. They don't know each other, but Kinsley does think he is super duper hot so that takes away any self preservation or reasoning skills she has. I mean how can she resist his sexy body? See, it is supposed to be silly and fun, but I didn't like it. I didn't really see why either would sacrifice everything to be with the other. And then when it does come out...well nothing really happens. So it was a non-issue again.

The whole second half of the book is seeing what it is like to have a public relationship. What it is like to be in the press and have them spin stories about you. The whole issue with the ex-captain was just ridiculous to me. I just rolled my eyes and moved on. It was just not for me. It was supposed to be this forbidden, dangerous relationship, but it ended up being no big deal. They moved quickly and everything just happened pretty instantly once they decided to risk it and be together. I mean it was an alright book, but it just didn't work for me. I didn't really care about any of the characters or what happened to them, and the ridiculousness didn't work for me. Oh well. I knew that pretty much right away, but decided to finish the book just to see if it got better.

Eh!! It was ok! If you take out the few vanilla sex scene's it would fit more into a YA and not a New Adult Romance, if I was younger I probably would have enjoyed it more! There wasn't much plot, it seems they fight their "forbidden" relationship/feelings and then the rest of the book is them fighting off paparazzi and day to day life with them. I skimmed through pages cause some chapters were just too boring.

I legit laughed out loud at this book. And the sex was hot and far from over the top, which is always a concern when reading contemporary romance novels. There's a few minor grammatical errors but nothing that will prevent any English majors from enjoying this book. I got a kick out of the pop culture references. Highly recommend!!!

Well this book wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. I liked Liam, but he didn't act really how he was portrayed in the beginning and that made this book kinda lame. There wasn't any real drama to keep you engaged in the book. It's a pass if it costs money to me

The plot of this story is great. However, the protagonist (Kinsley) is so arrogant that it's really hard to love her. I really enjoy reading books where the protagonist is a strong female. Kinsley was just so smug that I didn't feel compelled to cheer for her.
Also, there were several clichés that were repeated in the book. That really loses part of the start to me. Other than that, Scoring Wilder was a quick easy read.
