A Wickedly Hot Historical Romance (Red Chrysanthemum Boxset Book 1)

Ms. Brown, Please do not let those who obviously do not enjoy reading good books change in any way your manner of writing. Believe me I have read thousands of books in my 75 years and just between us as we grow older it's great to lose ourself in books that can still make ones heart flutter. Oh my, you do that so well. I highly recommend to everyone all of your books. Thank you so much for giving this "old" lady many hours of happiness.

Don't be confused. If you want history, go someplace else. If you want erotica in a historical setting, then this book is for you. The characters are believable and well crafted for a short series. Very enjoyable

The chapters are repetitive. Both characters are doing what they are doing to get back at someone they feel has wronged them. The full story seems to be highly over priced at $8.97. The biggest complaint I had was the overly repetitive use of the word "cunnie." The word reminds me of something a child would call their vagina and it really detracted from the scenes. Once the author used quim which was a far better word to use. Many times the word could have been completely eliminated as saying "inside her" would have been sufficient. Instead of purchasing the full novel I would recommend any novel by Bertrice Small who is able to include historical erotica within an excellently plotted novel.

This book is not what it appears. Though the plot was good in the beginning, and interesting with the turn of events and power play, it's not the entire book. Again, these are just serials which I'm not a fan of.

I have to say, I like reading historical romance, but I had to force myself to finish this book. Part of the time words didn't have true meanings and others were so big I didn't understand them. I spent a lot of time looking words up in the dictionary. when I read a book I want to read it not spend time looking every other word up. The plot was good though and the story not bad.

Well written and believable characters. What I didn't like was that this is a cliff hanger. I hate cliff hangers and had I known that there are at least XX and this is I-V, well that just isn't right and I wouldn't have bothered reading it. I like the story but not enough to continue reading. That being said. I will see what else this author has written. If there are any stand alone stories, I'll check them out.

The reality is that when I first bought this book, I expected it to be a clear story rather than a series of short stories. It was difficult for me to get into. However, just because it is not my type of reading, this does not mean the book is not interesting and well written. I hope that others can read it and it fits their genres and they can give a true opinion from a "liker". I appreciated the way the book was written and it was easy to follow through the story lines. If this is your genre, then this is your well written book!

Punishing Miss Primrose, parts 1-5 by Em Brown is an awesome read, BUT it does end in a cliff-hanger. I do hate cliff-hangers! Em Brown has crafted a well written book. The characters are phenomenal. Beatrice and Spencer's story is full of drama, suspense, sizzle and bits of humor. There is a bdsm element to the story so it may not be for everyone. I enjoyed this book from start to the abrupt end. The cliff-hanger I didn't care for. I'd be happy to read more from Em Brown in the future, but only if it's a complete book, no cliff-hangers. I would have happily rated this book 5 stars if it had been a complete book.
