My daughter is upsessed with "Pinkalicious" at the moment. So I was happy to find books for her to read because she is in Kindergarten. This was perfect to do the job. She is currently a top reader in her class and these books were a little challenging but that is because she is still learning. So it was great. Not too many words for each book and they are all very small short stoires with alot of her "site words" included. She wants to read these everynight! And the $ is right!

I love these books, just wish they included the reading level. I would have passed on this set for another had I known it was more advanced than a ,evel E book. I bought them for my emergent reader and she was a bit frustrated. We put them aside until she didn't need as much assistance.

My child has enjoyed all of the Pinkalicious books thus far. These books are tiny, cute and pink! My daughter is *just* starting to learn how to read and these books are too advanced. They do show some simple words (sight words and such) but words like "unicorn" and "school" are certainly not meant for a brand new reader.

Again cute as a button and my daughter loves having them read to her. There just isn't a very large assortment of words that are meant for a just starting reader.

The only negative note that I have to this is the way I received this item. The little box was crushed and smashed into a tiny shipping box. Needless to say, this item (being a paper box) was also crushed and smashed. The books were in good condition, but the box was utterly destroyed. I would have returned them but for the fact that my daughter had already seen the books and didn't wish to be deprived of them. Shame on the shipper, it was OBVIOUS that the packaging was too small.

I bought this collection to help with my daughters phonics for home school. She loved the Pinkalicious sight words. We had so much fun with this set it will always be a memory for her. The books are small and black and white reading pages with full color cover. Small for little hands to hold and the stories are perfect to length to keep good attention for the duration of the story.

My five-year-old granddaughter loves these books, and can read them pretty well. They are only a few pages long, so she has a sense of accomplishment when she finishes. I gave her the box with only one book in it when she visited, and I am mailing the rest of the books to her once a week...this size book fits in a standard greeting card-sized envelope and only takes one stamp...and she loves to get mail from Mimi!

Great, Great, Great Buy! My daughter is just starting to work on sounding out words to read and these are excellent books. She is a big fan of the Pinkalicious series, so that was a big plus and the books are easy to read and have helped her increase her abilities, while being fun and entertaining at the same time. I would definitely recommend to any beginners or those just starting to work on phonics.

I was really pleased how quickly this set arrived. I know some reviews said the packaging was horrible, mine was perfect it wasn't damaged at all. The books are small as stated by others but they are the perfect size for my kinder learning to read. There are some sight words in the books but there is also some bigger words that my daughter needed help with but other than that great product. I liked how there is only a few pages in the book, she doesn't become bored before she finishes it.

Very disappointing, not phonics based reading at all. There is no way my 5 year old can learn to read with these stories. For example the book focused on the short e sound has words such as friend, better, left, dress... where are the simple words like men, set, hen, vet, etc.. ? I am very disappointed with the purchase and would not recommend it for learning to read.
