What little girl does not like the colors pink, or purple? In Silverlicious, a little girl named Pickalicious, loses her tooth -- not just any tooth, but her sweet tooth, and Pinkalicious loves sweets. She decides to leave the tooth fairy a note, along with her tooth, asking her to bring her something sweet to eat until her new sweet tooth grows in. For several nights in a row, she gets a visit while she is asleep, not from the tooth fairy Tootheetina, but from Carlos Cupid, Edgar Easter Bunny and even Elf #351. Each leave her (3) pieces of candy, none of which tastes sweet to her, and a note explaining that the tooth fairy was called away, to places far away like India to help an elephant with a "tusk ache".

In the end, Pinkalicious learns where sweetness really comes from, deep inside oneself, and yes, she discovers that she can once again can taste sweets, and that somethings are just simply...... "Silverlicious"!

This story is so very cute, the illustrations are so colorful and detailed, and without a doubt, this book will delight the sweet little girl in your life. This is my first children's book by Victoria Kann, but it will not be my last. I'll be off to checkout this author's earlier books in this series: Pickalicious, Purplicious and Goldilcious as well. I can just imagine how adorable the illustrations and stories will be. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A little dissapointed with the focus on Christian holidays in this one including Christmas and Easter. Wish she could have found a way to get the message accross using other holidays or fairytail characters.

Disclaimer: we have pinkalicous and although I don’t understand the hype, my 4 yr old loves it and we read it almost every night.

Under no circumstances should you purchase this book. Unfortunately, I purchased and read to my 4 year old. It is the worst book I have read. Afterwards she even said “let’s not read that again, it is awful.” We are all now dumber for reading this pathetic excuse for a children’s book. This really deserves 0 stars but it is not an option.

SILVERLICIOUS

I just LOVE the books by Victoria Kann -- they are so child-oriented while at the same time being written for adults too! What a great book to snuggle up and read with my special little grand-daughter, Paige, who is a huge fan of Pinkalicious!

Little Pinkalicious has a wobbly tooth and when it falls out, she is in for a shock! The tooth that has come out is her sweet tooth! Oh no!! Now all of her favorite foods -- cookies, candy, etc, taste awful! She is up-in-arms! She is so upset that she leaves a note for the Tooth Fairy asking what she should do now that she's lost her sweet tooth.

Surprise Pinkalicious -- the Tooth Fairy, Tootheetina, is not available. In her absence she sends along her friends -- Carlos Cupid, Edgar the Easter Bunny, and even one of Santa's very own, Elf #351! Dismayed and upset by the tasteless treats these three leave her, Pinkalicious gets quite upset. She is not very appreciative of what's been left and done for her. Pinalicious learns a good lesson in the end.

As always, Pinkalicious is a winner and a typical little girl. When reading this book, you will see your little ones and their ever-changing temperaments on each page. What I love is the moral of the story that will not be lost on your special children!

Victoria Kann has true-blue fans in me and Paige! We love to read her books and this one was super! The illustrations -- as always -- are wonderfulicious and so very detailed!

Treasure this book -- it would make a great gift for any child for any occasion!

Thank you!

Pam

This is easily my oldest daughter's favorite pinkalicious book! At the first read (a few years ago), I eyed my husband when pinkalicious was so ill-behaved at the start... she is much more cheeky than in the other books, in my opinion. As we continued, her rudeness seemed to grow with each visitor to her room, which led to some good comments with our girls ("oh my, pinkalicious doesn't have very good manners!", "well, that doesn't seem very grateful, does it?"). In the end, a good lesson is learned about gratefulness and "sweetness on the inside". This book has been requested over and over (and over and over...), and now our seven year-old reads it to her sister and they make their own "comments" about her behavior, both bad and good, throughout the story. I highly recommend it.

It's hard to beat Pinkalicious, ("you get what you get and you don't get upset" is a recurring phrase in my kid and adult life.) But Silverlicious gets close with this riff on the Good Fairy - Toothetina. Especially as the kids who grew up on Pinkalicious grow older and are losing their baby teeth. The plot is great! The illustrations are terrific. But if your kids do not believe,or are not familiar with Santa or the Easter Bunny....they will not connect with this book. That's what happened to me, what was I thinking?

Several years ago, I and my daughter became aware of the existence of the book "Pinkalicious". As I am not a fan of pink, but she is, I waited to see if she would ask for "Pinkalicious". To my relief, she never did. Do not aim raspberries at me just yet- right now, I am wearing a tattered, berry-pink fleece and I do purchase pink stuff for my kids here and there, such as the "Adventure Time" shirt from Old Navy. But to me, naming a book "Pinkalicious" just bespeaks of horror. Anyway, my five-year-old came home from a book fair with "Silverlicious", and I thought, "Well, how bad can that one be? Silver ain't too bad..." Let me tell ya- it's pretty bad. Very bad. First off, the main character is named "Pinkalicious". Huh? It just does not flow, especially when you have to say it aloud nine times, or type it four times with it echoing in your head. And here I thought it was just the title of one book... And although this book seems like it should be focused on silver, pink is still the main theme, and it's pink in overkill. I cannot profess as to how the illustrations were produced (computer graphics?), but they remind me very much of the "Rolie Polie Olie" Disney cartoon. No depth or interest. Some pages are decked out in overwhelming candy motifs, while oddly enough some pages have too little going on eye-wise. The plot was insipid- Pink loses her sweet tooth, and instead of the Tooth Fairy hookin' her up with cold, hard cash, TF gets Cupid, the Easter Bunny, and a Xmas elf to lay on the works consecutively, cavity-style. Pink does not appreciate all the gifts the gang left for her, so TF leaves her a note reminding her that you catch more flies with...sweetness, of course. To the astonishment of the whole planet, this book ends with the TF leaving Pink cold, hard, chocolate gelt, so that she can return on another night to pick up her future rotten teeth. Hey, we consume sugar here, but this whole shebang is mindblowing. All I can say in summation is: "It burns, it burns!"

This delighfully, charming story will sweeten your sweet tooth. It is about a little girl who loses her "sweet tooth" but in the end, learns that... sweetness really comes from, deep inside oneself. The illustrations are perfectly pink and precious. Every book in the serious is filled with creativity that will tickle the imagination. "Speaking" of imagination, if your little one likes this book, she will surely love-The One and Only Bernadette P. McMullen." It is about a girl who is unique and different, but like this book, she learns that it's what's inside that really matters, and we should all be proud of who we are. Check it out:

The latest Pinkalicious book is about Pinkalicious loosing a tooth. She didn't just loose any tooth, but she lost her sweet tooth! She discovers that she can no longer taste anything sweet. She asks the tooth fairy to bring her something sweet instead of money. The tooth fairy is busy visiting far away children and animals so she sends Cupid, the Easter Bunny, and Elf #351 to help her. But she can't taste anything sweet everyting thing taste all wrong. Finally the tooth fairy comes to visit her and tells her that sweetness comes from inside a person. She realizes that she wasn't so sweet to Cupid, Easter Bunny, or Elf #351 so she writes a note and apoligizes to them.

I thought this was a really sweet book. She learns that sweetness doesn't come from a tooth, but from the person. This is a great lesson for kids to learn. The the illustrations are bright and engaging. This is a great book for the little girls in your lives. This is the first book I have read by Victoria Kann, but I can't wait to go and pick up the other Pinkalicious books.

We didn't really like Purplelicious, and Goldlicious was a little better, but Silverlicious is as great as Pinkalicious. This will be another one of those books that we read again and again. This book reminded us why we LOVED Pinkalicious

Another cute story about the precocious Pinkalicious. We love her whimsical adventures. Of course, they are pure imagination, which is what makes the stories so great. I would recommend to young readers from Pre-school through early elementary.

The sheer amount of pink in this book is nauseating. Instead of inspiring our girls to go get an education and actually do something with their lives, we inundate them with pink dresses and candy? Yuck.

We have a few of the Pinkalicious book series and my daughter loves the stories. This story is a bit of a surprise as to why it's titled Silverlicious, so it's kinda fun for them as its a little different from other Pinkalicious books. This story goes through many holidays so it might also be a good one for those who are learning about or just love Holidays.
