Marr has had readers reveling in her wicked lovely world from the begining and has brought about a conclusion that leaves little room for complaints. Unlike other authors Marr took no shotcuts to create a sloppy ending but intsead wove a fantastical journey that allowed her characters to stay true to form. (not to say that there weren`t any mind blowing surprises) In the end Marr has ended her series in a satisfying way that will not leave readers disapointed. you are missing out if you miss this book.

Darkest Mercy is the perfect conclusion to the wicked lovely series. There were plenty of choices, yes... but as Seth might point out it wouldn't have turn out well any other way. Melissa Marr managed to wrap *almost* everything in a nice neat little package. There are deaths of course; as well as violence and cruelty as well as devotion and passion- but as with the rest of the series you find yourself sympathizing with the characters even as they are in the middle of being their most wicked... And oh! How wicked they are in this book.
Definitely recommend reading this book and/or this complete series if you haven't yet started.

Ugh!@#% I'm having a extremely difficult time putting into words what I think about this book! Kept putting off reading it then dragging it out because I didn't want the series to be over. Now that I've read it, I can't decide if I loved it more than I hated it or what...? :x
There was so much to love about it, but yet I feel disappointed. I didn't really have any expectations about what would happen, but I assumed I would love it as much as the rest of the books. Sadly, I have to say this is my least favorite. :(
Nevertheless, you still have to read it!!! And like I always say, I doubt you can ever make everyone happy no matter how it ends. My final verdict is the same as my title...

I have always enjoyed reading this series. Even though I would have thought, some thing's to be different. I am still trying to finger out if I even liked the way they ended. I am leaning to not so much. Don't get me wrong the ending was good. Just not, what I was hopping for. I do so enjoy Melissa Marr's writing style; it makes this series a whole.
So all in all very enjoyable read
