I enjoyed this series up to this point. There were parts of the book I really enjoyed such as the quests and the city building. The thing that killed was the ending if you were a reborn you would never make the same choice he did.

Great character development. Would like to see more about Rachael and her development to where she is now. We know we will be heading to her side of the world soon, so let's learn more about where we is. Can't wait to read more. It is hard to put down.

Good next book in the series. Plenty of action with some minor MC development and the plot moves along. MC continues to make random bad decisions when he should know better (buying drugs??) but enjoyed the story overall.

This has become my favorite LitRPG series. It has overtaken THE LAND, for me.
I’m pissed at myself because I usually don’t start a series until it is complete. Now I have to wait for the next book!
Thanks to the author for sharing his world with me.

Great series with an interesting plot. The blend of the characters and the virtual reality world building is excellent. The MC may be an idiot at times, but coming from one side, he is more human than your typical overpowered and demi god-like MCs in most stories of the same style. Its refreshing to see a character agonize, makes him more approachable. Well worth the read and definitely one that is on the short list of eagerly awaited next books.

Each installation of this series is action-packed and intriguing. There are so many cogs but they all seem to interlock so well. So many question: is Jeremy hiding an agenda? What is between Donovan and Adeelee? Will Shashana et al come to Edgewood ? Will Gerard find out about Runner's duplicity? ...and so many more questions remain... As Gunnar and guild continue in their adventures to build up Edgewood whilst dealing with the threat of the bloodletters, being charged with murder, kroka addiction and remaining alive after Arena bouts, the future appears grim. And who let the red dragon out? The only distractions were some remaining editing issues, otherwise the rating would be five. Cannot wait until the next release!

This is a great series. Characters are great, the plot is good, and I’m looking forward to future books. As far as litrpg, it follows the premise but without tons of needless numbers and 20 sided dice rolls.

Eden’s Gate was my first experience with the LitRPG genre, and I’ve since explored other authors’ work but none thus far have held a candle to Brody’s story. Could not recommend the series more to anyone interested in the genre, or a good fantasy fiction in general.

This book and the previous books in the series are just good old fashioned fun. The LitPRG genre is new to my but I have found myself enjoying it. The Edens Gate world is excellent and I look forward to further adventures with Gunnar and his crew.

This story is an enjoyable read. The character personalities are a bit shallow, as there isn't a great deal of character development outside of the main narrator. The storyline is engaging, and I am giving 4 stars because I feel that I will definitely read the new books when they come out.

Another quick and fun read in the series. The guild and it's members continue to develop and find themselves in ever-growing quests. I like Brodys style of writing as its more realistic in how the damage, pain and magic seem to work.

This series has gotten much better as it has gone on. Having the hero be falable is wondeful because it feels refreshing and makes Gunnar much more relatable. This genre is over saturated with mcguffin heros who always succed and this is a pleasent bit of fresh air.

Great storyline! I’ve really enjoyed the first four books and am eager for more. There are some typos/editing mistakes but they don’t really interrupt the flow of the book. Good series that you can really sink your teeth into!

I like the character development in this series and the intrigue that develops from relationships. I will continue on with this and would like to see how other characters such as Rachel develop in the new world.

Another great installment to the series. Little slow in it not having tons of time and things happening. The end was a little abrupt for my taste really wanted that fight to happen. Can't wait till the next one comes out.

I like the direction the overall all story line and guild progression are going in, and I think the author is doing a good job with making the MC grow in his leadership role after the sands. But I was highly disappointed in the number of grammar/spelling mistakes along with how the battles were handled.

I felt that the MC is being made out to be a moron that just bumbles along through almost every battle or action sequence in this book compared to the past ones just barely making due. And after 4 books still hasn't gained much skill and foresight in battle or in dealing with the NPCs that give him trouble. Also I do feel like the author has missed out on expanding the world with the introduction of the thief character and how they handle the interactions. Like the MC was completely naive with the ending and letting his bind point be controlled.

Overall gave this a 3 because though it could have been told much better with similar or same events.

Was a great story overall, albeit the events of the story were a bit too random (Arena fights and focus on Mizar(?) was detracted by the random hearing by the king and excursion to the snake cave) However I felt it was EXTREMELY short. I finished this in under 3 hours, which to me isn't very long. I felt that the book might have intentionally been shortened in order to sell the next book. The previously mentioned random events, some of which weren't resolved or at least not well, may have been structured that way in order to also assist in that matter. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame him for doing this to sell the next book, but I feel he could do it better by lengthening his books and structuring them better. Nonetheless, I love the series, but was a bit disappointed in this one, especially considering the time it took....

Another fantastic edition to the series! Brody does an excellent job developing character relationships and the changing feelings of our hero, Gunnar, be they romantic or pragmatic (without giving spoilers for this book, how his experiences in the previous book changed him is dealt with well). I want to praise parts of the story that I liked only because they were something I desired (like Keysia getting more screentime), but that wouldn't be fair because Brody's storytelling abilities are excellent and they deserve the praise as opposed my more simple satisfaction.

I think that the author could have done more character development along the lines of the struggle to get back in the swing of things on the MCs return to Edgewood. Other than that, I liked the arena battles and the fact that this MC is not completely OP.
