After a very painful break-up, I found myself trying to call him, asking his friends for information about him, ect. My friends were sick of hearing about him, and I was going crazy. Then I picked up this book. The advice was very straight forward, and the anecdotes were very funny.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has been dumped or did the dumping, and is an emotional wreck. BTW I am now blissfully single and enjoying dating again!

I bought this book after my first heartbreak..I kinda had nowhere to turn and didn't know how to handle myself. This book definitely helped me out a bunch...and the authors insight of their personal experiences helped. The humor was also a really big helped...for a heartbreak that made me cry with one simple thought, this book definitely lighened up the mood with it's clever jokes. I also loved at the end of the chapters how they had a part call the "best worst news." Although this book didn't cure my heartbreak, it really helped me learn how to move on and taught me that heartbreak is a long healing process. Anyone who rates this book poorly, either didn't want to get over a breakup or wasn't heartbroken in the first place.

After 20 years of marriage, my husband bought a Harley and decided he wanted out of our relationship. I was shocked, heartbroken, and beating myself up when I ran across this book. It was the best break -up buddy I could have asked for at the time!

This book is good, but unless your boyfriend/husband was a complete heartless jerk, it's hard not to read this and think "Wow, there are alot of as****les out there, I should get back with my boyfriend" LOL. The BEST book ever is Women Who Love Too Much...

This book has saved me on more than one occasion. You just really need it. Trust me. I've bought several copies because I always manage to lose them or give them away to friends in need, and no two authors are more deserving of my repeated purchases. Thanks!!

This book honestly was the only thing that helped me in the days after my break up. Where previously I was heartbroken and kept going back to my last ex, this book made me realize not only is that pain normal but it's helpful. I found myself crying in the firt few chapters because everything they said was EXACTLY what was going through my head. Not only that but reading other breakup stories in the book made me realize everyone goes through a breakup at some point and feels horrible and that THIS IS NOT THE END THINGS WILL GET BETTER. Only 4 days out of my breakup and I can truly say I feel empowered and excited for what's to come.

Worth the read. Its not a magical feel better tool and my broken heart is automatically better...but it had great advice and I do recommend taking it.
I already broke a "rule" and I feel as s***ty as the book said I would. (The ol don't contact your ex no matter what cuz you'll feel even worse...) yeah its definitely true.
If you're heart got shattered into a million pieces like mine did read it. It's worth the 12 bucks or whatever.

I was searching through some forums about breakups and wallowing in my misery when I saw someone recommend this book. It's really funny and helps if you follow the advice they give. Even if you're feeling like things aren't getting better and everything is hopeless there is hope and wonderful things to come after a breakup.

You're looking up books like this and reading reviews. That's awesome! It means you still love yourself even though some guy was dumb enough to let you go.
That smart, amazing, perfect guy isn't so smart or amazing or he'd still be with you. And obviously he wasn't perfect because he's got issues. If he didn't he'd realize what a great girl he had. And his issues aren't your problem anymore. You've gotta stop caring about what he's doing and what he's thinking and start caring about YOU.
This book will tell it to you straight. When you find yourself losing the remote control in a pile of tissues or looking like some space alien version of yourself because your eyes are puffy from crying this book will help you get perspective.
It will remind you that you have a future and responsibilities (work, education goals, etc.) and that even if you feel like he already took your heart, you shouldn't let him take your job and future too! That scumbag.
After being blindsided with a break up when I was in what I thought was an amazing relationship, I grabbed onto every life preserver available--my friends, my faith in God, my family and this book. I found myself laughing for the first time in days when reading this. There are bitter pills to swallow in here but it will help you to NOT be the crazy, desperate ex and exit that dead-end relationship as the classy lady you are. He doesn't deserve you, but you deserve to have yourself back.
It won't miraculously cure your heart sickness but it will put you on the road to recovery (or keep you there). If your sense of self-preservation has kicked in, which it has if you are reading about this book, then do yourself a favor and buy it.
"A lot of the pain you are experiencing right now is actually fear. Fear of things being different than how you liked them, fear of never finding love again, fear of being alone, fear of having to fill your time differently." And what I like to add at the end of that quote from this little gem of a book, "What do we have to be afraid of that God can't handle?"
Oh and I'd like to add, make yourself a "If he were so great" list. "If he were so great, he would have ______." It helps a lot!

This book was funny, and helpful. Sometimes you just need to hear it repeated, all those things you think in your head after a breakup. Its also nice to hear it from both a woman and a man's prospective.

This book saved me. I refer back to it constantly, and my break-up was a year ago. I've let several of my friends borrow it, and they loved it as well. It was worth every penny. These authors are better than Ghandi. They've got the best things to say. I'm in a place now where I can help others in this situation. I see things objectively, and I feel 99% better about everything that's happened. Read this book. I promise you'll thank me.

Loved the book, Greg and Amiira definitely keep it real in this book, just like in the book "He's Just Not that into You." I wish I would've read this right after my break-up but I didn't find out about it until just now! Still, it is full of helpful tips, confidence boosters and most importantly- reality checks that help you get through your toughest heartbreaks.

This really is an excellent handbook to getting through a breakup. It's reassuring to know that what you are going through has been experienced by more women than you can poke a stick at. The style is both sympathetic and witty - kind of what you want a good friend to be like - and the content not only relatable, but quite practical. If any of my girlfriends experience a break-up, this will be in the care package along with the chocolate, wine and tissues.

This book is so entertaining and informational. I like the direct honesty that the two authors provide - especially from the male perspective and from their own personal relationship heartaches and mistakes.

Book was very well written. I loved hearing all the different stories ( definitely didn't make me feel as crazy!) I had a bad breakup with my first love, and I thought my life was over. Done. Greg and Amiira are great role models. I for sure have taken their advice to heart, and love what they've said! By the end of the book, it made me cry realizing the person I can be and who I can become in the future. Thanks so much guys! To everyone else, I highly recommend this book after a break up. I'm a SUPER FOX.

This book helped me through a really hard time. Makes you laugh while telling you the things you need to hear, even if you don't want to. If you have been broken up with and need a little assistance getting through it then you should read this book.

Really great book, I was in a relationship where I believed he was the kindest most amazing man. The one day he decided to break up with me, I cried and begged for that whole night and then he told me to have some dignity. That really woke me up, I decided to become proactive and make sure that I was going to take care of myself. This book helped me out completely and made me realize that be wasn't worth my tears. If he wasn't crying for me then I am not crying for him.

What the other reviewers said were true - the book does seem a bit repetitive but it helps when you are in an emotional mess... you (if you are like me) need someone to reassure you over and over again that you aren't worthless and there are someone out there for you. I'm glad I found this book.
