This was such a moving and hopeful story, the best part being that it's a TRUE STORY! Larry Levin has shown many of us that ALL dogs are special in their own way, some truly earning the title of "Angel", like Oogy. It's just sad that the ones who did those unspeakable things to Oogy were never caught and brought to justice. I had fully expected to spend much of my time reading this book crying my eyes out, but found instead smiling and feeling good about this great dog's story. If you read ANY book this year, make sure it's THIS BOOK. You won't be sorry. Thank you Mr. Levin, and especially a big thank you to Oogy, himself. I wish I could give you a big hug and kiss!

Absolutely, hands down, one of the best books I've ever read in my life! I could not put it down from the time I started reading it until I finished it! Okay, actually I did put it down to sleep and picked it up the next morning and finished it. My husband said he had never seen me read an entire book that fast, and that made him want to read it. Same thing happened to him! He couldn't put it down either, and he doesn't even like to read! I bought another copy to give to the girls at the vet's office, and everyone there read it and loved it! This is one of the most heartwarming stories I've ever read! You will fall in love with Oogy and his family! Well written book!

Sad book, but it teaches a lesson that your heart will go out to somebody in need, that the human race isn't so preoccupied with itself that we don't help innocent animals. If you read your copy, then you may just cry your heart out at Levin's heartwarming tale of a sweet dog left for dead, who discovered there could be good in the world, that the Levins loved him very much! I also feel bad for the beat up dogs of fighters who will force an animal into the cruel work, the slaughterhouse, fighting... torture. That is why I am a vegetarian!

You will absolutely fall in love with this dog, and the amazing people who adopted him. Goes to show, you can't judge a book by it's cover. This dog had lots of problems, but he was so loving. It's a true story. I'd recommend it to anyone. If you aren't a dog lover, you will be after reading it.

I read this wonderful tale a few months ago after first reading The Lost Dogs. I must say that Oogy's story is heart-wrenching and heart-warming at the same time. I was delighted by Oogy's antics in the book, they reminded me of my own dog. Larry and his family shared a delightful view of Oogy's everyday life for us readers, and I am glad that I picked up this book. Oogy still has plenty of stories to tell, and I hope I am lucky enough to read another one.

I was a little disappointed, the book just didn't capture my attention as I thought it would. I didn't even finish it, although the story would be exceptionally impacting to one who has rescued a dog from an abusive past.

Was an inspiring story. I have dogs and rather than dwell on the unfortunate circumstances of dogs in shelters, this book paints a different picture and that is if that particular dog wasn't at the shelter when you went to find a dog you would have never found that particular dog. In other words, it was meant to be.

This is the most heart-warming, inspirational story I have read in years. Every dog and cat I have had since childhood has been a rescued pet. Every one of them came with their own story, much of which I will never know. Larry Levin wrote was has been in my heart and mind when he wrote in chapter eight, "It has always been my belief that a pet owner has a special responsibility to do everything that can be done to make the pet's life as fulfilling and peaceful as possible."

I am inspired by Oggy's special story and his special gifts and he great ability to love and trust. One of my current rescued dogs has obvious issues of anxiety and trust. He can't tell me why his has these issues. I will continue to love him and hope that one day thr memories that cause them will be clouded over with my love.

I hope that Oggy is doing well in his quest to be a therapy dog. I am sure that he will continue to touch thousands of lives in the positive way he has touched mine. "You made it dude!"

Good to know that there are people out there willing to go out of their way to help rescue animals like Oogy and that they provide love and care to them as if they were their children. This was a very touching story that had a happy ending for all involved.

While I'm no grammatical wonder, and reviewing things outside of tech is typically not my forté, I'd definitely say this book will reach out to anyone. It will make you welt from inside and consider the connections you make in life while experiencing the bonds created and described in this story.

I'm happy my wife bought it as I throughly enjoyed reading it!
