Review:Things are just sooo perfect. After divorce, Dee Dee (sweet name) moves from her perfect home on Mercer Island to her almost as perfect parent's home on Bainbridge Island where nobody seems to know her even though she and ex husband used to spend lots if time there with her parents. And nobody seems to know her parents, who lived there for decades. Be that as it may, everyone she meets turns out to be perfect for helping her new catering business, from Tammy an d her diner, to Susan as her ass... Read more

Review:Using Jack Australian shepherd and his retinue as a fascinating entrance into the dog show world, Josh Dean writes a delightful look into why so many people invest so much money, emotion and time on these events. His career starts with Jack appearing to be a future superstar. Over the year we get to know him and his human team up close and personal as Jack is the ticket to help us on the outside understand what motivates so many people to participate. Review:After losing my cat several months ago I found this book very enlightening. Sometimes as a pet owner I think we all sit and wonder what can possibly be going through there little minds when we talk to them, when the jump on us when they purr, sleep and play. They are smart, funny and extremely comforting. Well done. Brought tears to my eyes as I was nearing the last pages. Read more
Review:It is all about loving and being loved and taking care of a living creature. I wouldn't trade any of my animals through all the years, from my duck with the black spot on his head to my sweet Jack today. Life is measured in the lives we touch. :=) Read more
Review:Throughly enjoyed reading the life story of Rin Tin Tin and his offspring. His great grandson was a big part of my childhood and probably the reason I love shepherds to this day. This is not just a tale of movie dogs but of dogs in general... how they moved from outside farm hands to movie heros and then into homes as beloved pets. Dog lovers will love this book! Read more

Review:This was such a moving and hopeful story, the best part being that it's a TRUE STORY! Larry Levin has shown many of us that ALL dogs are special in their own way, some truly earning the title of "Angel", like Oogy. It's just sad that the ones who did those unspeakable things to Oogy were never caught and brought to justice. I had fully expected to spend much of my time reading this book crying my eyes out, but found instead smiling and feeling good about this great dog's story. If you read ANY b... Read more
Review:What a delightful story - even for grownups, but especially for children. I loved it. I still grieve over giving a little dog up because of my age and inability to pick up after him until he grew up and was better trained. That was my mistake. I only needed to hold out a little longer. Tippy was a lot of fun and I will regret it forever. People, take this story to heart! Read more
Review:This is a well-researched and well-written book that provides a 360 degree perspective on War Dogs that includes the history, the training, the performance, the trauma, the handlers and the connections of the dogs. For readers who do not have knowledge of the roles of dogs in war to those quite familiar with war dogs, this book will surely spark your interest and tug on your emotions. The emotional element of this book's engagement with readers has been the most difficult for me. This book, a... Read more
