Good short story. maybe the missing bits will come out in sequels.. Like what Owen did and why? Kind of vague o. That issue. would have liked a little more detail. Owens mother is a bit of a mystery also.

After finishing “The Dark Light of Day” I had to get the novella, “Dark Needs”, this is told from Jake's point of view and is an extension of Jake and Abby's story. I loved this novella just as much as “The Dark Light of Day”, I loved how we are able to see how they have become more of a family and we are given more explanations after the ending of “The Dark Light of Day”. I enjoyed reading about Jake's point of view and how he came to be acquainted with King. You do have to read “The Dark Light of Day” before reading the novella or it will not make any sense. I recommend everyone read TM Frazier's writing, she is great and doesn't disappoint.

Enjoyed this novella giving a bit more insight into what was going through the characters' heads and also getting to know what they went through after The Dark Light Of Day ended. Loved hearing Jake's POV in this novella! Loved Jake and Abby's story and the first glimpses of King, even though I read King and Tyrant first. To me it did not matter. Definitely a thumbs-up on this novella! Grab it, read it!

Why is everyone not talking about these books still? Someone needs to resurrect this series and get the word out about this author. I'm so upset I'm just finding this series now. I've read so many crap books when I could have been reading these which make me feel, breath, and cry. This story was unbelievably full of love and twists and heartache and pain, forgiveness, healing, connecting, soul searching, and surviving. There is just no way to lose in this book. I'm stunned, and blown away that this hidden treasure is sitting on the store waiting and no one is blowing up news feeds talking about this book. Blown Away.

This gives you more detail about Jake and Abby, how they are meant for one another, how they help each other. This bridges the storyline together and explains how did Jake meet King. You'll find out with this book as it brings us the connection to King.

This book was good, not sure if it added anything to the story though except to introduce us to King. Don't get me wrong it was short enough that I read it very quickly but the start of this book was pretty much the same thing we read at the end of the first book, just more detail. I thought it was strange that Jake was so careless that he did not think about the cameras, this wasn't his first time doing this but I did worry what was going to happen when he was away from Abby and his girl. I thought it was a little to easy how he got to come home but of course I was happy about this, my favorite thing about this book was getting to see more of the love Jake had for Abby and Georgia.

From the moment you start this story. It pulls you in . It's dark and gritty. The things they go through would cripple a lesser person. They showed there strength resilience and the love for there family to pull through. There's always two side to every coin. You can't have one with out the other. That's what Jake and Abby are. Her light to his dark. Her soft to his hard. They complete each other.

THEY ARE BAAAACK!

Awww I missed those two so much!!!

What Jake and Abby have is so special and unconventional... it just is... I just loved their small HEA and Jake with a baby... *swoon* plus we got a glimpse of King people!

This was the perfect companion to Dark Light of Day and a excellent introduction to King. I'm not sure how TM does it, but her stories suck you in. They are fabulous. I would recommend this read to anyone over 18

Perfect wrap to Jake & Abby’s story and left the door wide open for King!!! Love it! I actually read King and Tyrant already so I thoroughly appreciated they way Frazier ended this book! Fully welcoming King into the story. Love how she connects the characters together. Now I’m prepared for Lawless. These stories are tense and so well written. Reminds me so much of a piece of a world i once knew. Can’t get enough!!! If you haven’t tried Frazier, you’re missing out to the very core!

This seems more like disjointed short stories in the Jake and Abby tale than a book on its own. I was confused at times, trying to figure out where this fit into the series. It contains interesting information, it just doesn’t flow. It actually makes for more questions than it provided answers: who the heck was the monster guy who entered Jake’s cell and if Jake was a highly paid hit man, don’t you think he would have concealed Owen’s murder better than described?

You need to read book one before starting this. I loved this book. Loved finding out what happened in the aftermath of book one and the consequences of Jakes actions. Jake is his usual dark, hot, sexy self (i still love him) trying his hardest to give his family what they need. After avenging Abby, will they be able to move on? Jake is determined to make them stronger than ever but life has a way of throwing some bumps in along the way. I love Jake and Abby, i so desperately wanted them to get their hea and i devoured this in one go, racing to the end to see what happens. Definitely recommend but you MUST read The Dark Light of Day first.

Short novella that has its use only in the introduction to the reader of King, which is not so epic anyway, I was expecting something better ;)

Breve storia che serve solo ad introdurre King, in maniera anche piuttosto banale se posso dirlo, mi aspettavo qualcosa di meglio.....

This was a short and sweet conclusion to Jake and Abby's story and where revenge becomes the sweetest thing in their world. However all doesn't become a bed of roses when the unexpected hits again but can Jake worm his way out this time?
We also get to meet King and how he met Jake for the first time before he gets introduced into his own series of books in the King Series.

Another awesome read by this truly talented author!

Again, this amazing author has brought back the story of Jake and Abby and completed their story. I'm buzzing to read the King Series all over again and all its spin-offs. TM Frazier is an amazing author.

To say I loved the Dark Light of Day would be an understatement. And I was so excited to be inside Jake's head, with this follow up novella. It was short and oh so perfect. I couldn't put it down, and finished it in one sitting. The first chapter was just plain HOT! This book does not disappoint! And the ending...I was so damn happy to get a little preview of King!! God I can't wait for King! Ahhh....

TM Frazier has balls! I swear she writes stuff that pushes the edge of what makes me comfortable and does it in a way I simply can't stop turning the pages. I loved the Dark Light of Day and I loved Dark Needs just as much. I couldn't believe it when it was over. Need me some KING now. I love Jake's passion for Abby. And his love for little one. Nice work!
