I was anxiously awaiting the release of this book and I was not disappointed! I couldn't put it down, the plot pulled me right in and kept me hanging on till the very end. Rosalind James has written yet another amazing Escape to New Zealand book!

I enjoyed this story because it related more to the local people of New Zealand. Some of the back and forth between the ex and some of her friends was a little confusing for me to keep up with, but it was a very nice story in the end. I think since Hugh wasn't playing and was out injured there wasn't the interaction with other team mates that slowed the story down for me. Still very enjoyable read, just felt like it was missing something compared to the others in the series. As always, I'm excited for who is coming up next!

Loved it. Once again Rosalind James delivers an excellent romance novel. I have never been to New Zealand, her books certainly make me want to go. I love the characters and how she incorporates the Maori culture into the stories.

Loved this book, possibly my favorite of this series. Usually takes me 3-4 hrs to read a 300 page book but I stretched this one into a whole evening because I didn't want it to end. Don't usually care for a lot of sex scenes, but the ones here just dragged me in. Not a sex story, but a really good story, with some steamy sex.

Once again Rosalind has produce a great story. One that is easy to follow and the drama is not over the top. As a New Zealander I find her stories reflex the fell and pace of En Zed. I look forward to more books from her.

Just read Just not mine and was a bit disappointed. I love this series of books and was excited to get the latest one. This story just never took off like the others did. It just seemed flat like it was pushed out the door quickly to get another story out there instead of the level of chemistry that the other stories had. This is my least favorite out of all of the these books.

Boring, predictable and characters just didn't seem to come alive. Have purchased books from this author before, and am a kiwi, born and lived in Auckland for a number of years, so enjoy the references to places that I know. However would not purchase books again.

Another fun book about a NZ hot rugby player falling in love.

Josie is an actress on a local soap opera and her boyfriend is an actor who's in Aussie making a film. Hugh lives next door with his Aunt Cora and his much younger brother and sister who lost their parents in a drunk driving accident. After 18 month of this arrangement Aunt Cora decides that she needs to go back to the UK saddling Hugh with the full responsibility while he's injured and not playing.

This one was a little slow out of the gate for me, but still worth it by the end. Hugh is sweet and endearing and under a lot of pressure to take care of these kids. Josie has her own personal demons to deal with and a long distance boyfriend who isn't much of one.

I would have liked a slightly faster pace, but this was still fun to read.

I like this series, hunky New Zealand rugby players find love. And this one is one of my favorites.

Hugh is injured and ends up taking over the responsibility for his orphaned half siblings and falling for his gorgeous soap star neighbor, Josie. I liked both parts of the story: learning to parent his young brother and sister - when he didn't have a good role model for a male parental figure or a warm mother- and then Hugh being first a friend and then a passionate lover to Josie. Both leads are wonderfully likable. There isn't a lot of 'footie' in this story but there are cameos for past leads - but not so much that this wouldn't work as a standalone.

So another good story in this series which is one of my few contemporary go-tos -- I love the NZ flair and the touches of Maori culture.

This is truly a story of life. Rosalind James shares her characters loved with us in such a way that you become truly invested.
I always enjoy and admire the descriptive prose of this Author. I may never get the chance to visit En Zed in life but I certainly feel like I know it.
High and Josie find life together through the twists and turns.

This is another great book in this series. Now I’ve read 11, 1 and this one. I’m all over the place. The first of the series was just “okay” and had its sweet moments but I tend to prefer this style...lots of chemistry and so much about their characters. I’ve loved the family issues and the way the main characters step up to be there for each other and their families.

The minute I tried the first book in this series, I went out and gobbled up all the rest. Now I can't wait for more. I love all the books in this series but Just This Once, Just For Now, and Just For Fun are my favorites. Just Not Mine comes close - I really enjoyed Hugh's struggles with his younger siblings, and Josie's close-knit family scenes, plus the fantastic humor throughout. I zipped through this book in no time, because it dragged me in. My only wish would be for more active rugby within the scope of the book - not that the sport needs to take over, but because the absence is noticeable (since Hugh is injured).

Note: Since my kindle is registered under my family account, this might not appear as a verified purchase but I did buy this book here on the store.

Great romantic story. I am in awe of this writer's ability to write a romantic tale without it becoming trashy. Since all the main male characters are rugby players, it is nice to see them portrayed as men who aren't afraid to show their feminine side . They aren't ashamed of their feelings and the love they show to their partners and family. Makes for interesting reading.

Another solid romance in a series that's really making me want to visit New Zealand! Definitely enjoyed this one more than the fifth in the series. I liked the main characters, Josie and Hugh, a lot - their romance was hot and they were both great likable people. Looking forward to the next one....

Josie and Hugh's relationship develops in spite of their pre-conceptions, and their struggle to come to terms with changes that challenge and frighten them is well written. A warm story of rising to the occasion and becoming better than one's fears. New Zealand comes to life.

Unlike some other reviewers of this "Rosalind book", I found it a very thought provoking read. Different problems than other books in New Zealand series. As typical of this series, the stories, situations and characters are very real life. Recommend.

This was yet another great book in the series. I love the way she makes the characters have flaws that every other person has but yet at the end of the book the partner in the relationship can over look these flaws for love. Rosalind's story telling is outstanding. A little erotic at times but still so real. I couldn't put the book down.

I borrowed this from the store since I've purchased or borrowed the rest of the series. She keeps up with the lives of the characters in previous books and I wanted to see what would happen next. Through the series I've learned a lot about rugby and New Zealand, since each book centers around a rugby player and a woman who gets under his skin. I've enjoyed all six books and hope there will be a seventh soon!

The whole series of Escape from New Zealand is simply marvelous. It makes me want to travel there and see all of the geographic wonders. Also peaks my interest in Rugby. This series is wonderfully written. The characters are well-drawn and engaging. There are characters who reappear from earlier books. Not just a readable series, but rereadable.

There were many good things about this book

I always like going back to En Zed and learning more about the culture and, of course, rugby.
I like going back and revisiting characters from prior books.
I liked the concept of this story, and the characters were likeable.
That being said, somehow the book did not work for me. There were too many extra characters who confused me and brought nothing to the plot. The character and sub plot of Derek took too much time and energy in the story and detracted from the romance. The romance dragged and wasn't very, romantic. There was a lot of talking between the h/h and other characters, but not with each other.
I have been disappointed in these last 2 books of the series. The first 4 were very good, but something has been lost for me.
