Some of the level one books are too difficult (have too many words, or longer words) for true beginning readers. My daughter is 4 years old and starting to sound out words, recognize sight words, and show an interest in reading. She was able to work through this book with me, sounding out the words and using the pictures as clues. She likes it a lot. I like it because sometimes the picture doesn't make it totally obvious for her, and she actually has to try to read/sound out the word.

This book was in PERFECT condition! Looks better than some i have seen right off the shelf at the book store! This was the first book my 5 year old has read on his own. The words were mostly on his sight words list and he was easily able to sound other words out.

My granddaughter is a kindergarten student and these books were very fun, entertaining, and captured her attention. They were a great addition to our at home library and ensured we get in the 30 minutes of reading daily to support her continued progress in school. EXCELLENT product, seller is great, and the product delivery was outstanding. We do not like bugs however :-)!

I would have liked the book better if proper names or identification had been given/listed for the various bugs as well. Ex: Lady bugs are the only bug listed by name. Otherwise, everything else is "green bugs," "mean bugs," "big bugs" "small bugs." I just use this as an opportunity to teach the proper names of the bugs when asked or we encounter one (that is hopefully met outside our home).
