A Novel (Cork O'Connor Mystery Series) - Blood Hollow

The author captured my interest from page one until the utterly surprising end. Fast paced, great characters and no matter how hard I tried I could not guess the conclusion. If you like mysteries, you will love this book!!

Another really good book in the "Cork O'Connor" series. Beautiful descriptions of the Northwoods, combined with comfortable recurring protagonists and legitimate issues. Great plots .I've enjoyed every one of William Kent Kreuger's books in this series.

All mysteries have the same type of plot, but what keeps the reader coming back is how the characters are developed. These characters are complex and not perfect, but fascinating as each deals with discovering the path through life.

Really enjoy Krueger's novels , but wish he paid more attention to his settings. He refers to Randy Gooding's family vacationing in Michigan's upper peninsula and going through the ice on the Manistee River. The Manistee is in the north-west part of the lower peninsula; under the bridge with the trolls.

I am continually impressed with William's writing and this book is no exception. This book, and all of his books, will keep you guessing till the end. I am not a fast reader, but I was supprised on how fast this book went by because I cannot put it down. If you like mystery/thrillers, you will like this book and like all of his books.

You can feel an author becoming confident and skilled. Krueger has produced a great book. The hero, torn by two cultures, searches for the nature of faith. Around him people fall short, losing or betraying their own faith and self-esteem. A real good read.

Good book.. Surprises in store. I really like Kent Krueger's writing. His description of places make you feel like you're right there. I would recommend Blood Hollow to anyone. Nice clean cut reading.

I ordered several books by this author for my husband for Christmas, as he really likes the Cork O'Connor series. The only thing about this particular book, was that they sent a large print version. It was not described as that, and I did not request it. Also, there was a black magic marker dot on the top page edging. It made this look like it was a "second" or previously owned book.
