And Social Sciences (14th Edition) - College Mathematics for Business

The "new edition" just move the questions around slightly and excluded some information. I would recommend buy something from TAN to get better explanation behind the steps. I get so tired of the "its magic" approach to math where the behind he scenes operations are never show, not even once in the examples. This book take that one step further and the new editions are just as bad.

WHEN PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT IT WAS TO BE SOLD WITH A MATH LAB AS WELL. IT DID NOT COME WITH IT AND WHEN TRYING TO CONTACTING THE SELLER WELL, THEY HAVE STILL YET TO RETURN OUR EMAIL! I WILL NEVER AGAIN ORDER FROM THIS SELLER. NOW IM OUT THE MATH LAB AND I HAVE TO PURCHASE IT ELSE WHERE.

TO THE SELLER: I did receive the order today. Unfortunately I did not receive the "math lab student access kit" and disc that was advertised with it. That is the only reason we made this purchase thru this seller. I went back and read thru some comments and found that this seller has a tendency to do when selling Items.This is a horrible thing I wish we knew this before we ordered because I wouldn't of ordered it. Not pleased or impressed. We really needed all of the items advertised.

It states that it comes with an access code which, if renting, is incredibly misleading. It does not in fact come with a working access code. Both my friend and I rented this book and neither had useable access codes because they had already been used. Incredibly frustrated.

This book was a very good price, although, it was not the correct edition my intrustor wanted and the page number were off so check with your instructor and make sure the pictures on the cover match before you buy it.

I used this textbook in my "business math" course.

The course covered material that I'd already mastered in high school, so I rarely used this book.

When I had to look up a few fuzzy areas, though, it helped me. It did a poor job of explaining Chapter 7, as I recall.

The book is very good, but the electronic book used for online classes has hundreds of video lessons and so far every one of them features a young man who is left handed. He is clear, knows his math, and has great handwriting, but most of the time the work he is doing is covered by his hand, being a leftie.
This has become increasingly annoying, constantly requiring stopping and rewinding on an already shaky and glitchy little video player system.
