I purchased this for my husband as his old book of maps was greatly outdated. He loved it and the larger scale was perfect for our aging eyes. It was a little larger than expected, but he didn't seem to mind. Overall, a great book of maps. If hubby is happy, then wife is happy!

Love the spiral binding, though my 1986 stapled version is still holding. Always a quality product. The large print is great, as long as you don't mind most states are split. Still easy to follow from page to page.

It did not survive transport very well in the soft bubble pack. Surepost stuffed it into the mailbox which surely did not help. Front and back covers bent. Not as many extras inside as the 2009 it’s replacing but maps are all there which I was happy to see as others reported several missing states.

Very nice Atlas but the lack of supportive shipping packaging left me with three different attempts to receive one atlas undamaged. The final atlas that I kept was/is damaged on the corners because of zero support in the packaging. It was a Birthday Present for my hubby and I had to settle on the least damage possible!

The state of Alabama is split into North Alabama and South Alabama, which would be fine except there's a huge swath in the middle that isn't included on the map. On top of that, most of the smaller highways aren't even mapped well enough to follow! Unless the middle of Alabama is enchanted like Hogwarts, somebody at Rand McNally needs to be damn fired for a half-assed job.

If you prefer to waste time by looking at numerous pages of an atlas to view a state, then this is the atlas for you. I wish I could have found a copy of this atlas locally to look at before purchasing, as I would have saved some money. This is probably the most poorly designed atlas that I have ever used. After purchasing this one, I was able to find a smaller version at a Walmart in the automotive department. Granted, the images are smaller, but at least it doesn't take 3 or four pages to cover one state. After thinking more about it, I'm changing my review rating to 2 stars from 3. Also, these new Rand McNally maps have no map legend to describe the type of roads, number of lanes, divided, etc.

Rand McNally has removed the Canadian Provinces from the Atlas. I am driving from Texas to Labrador in 2 weeks and will now need to purchase another set of maps. My 2015 and 2017 have the Provinces and it would have been nice for updated material. Atlas is not much good for driving the Al-Can without Western Canada.

These 2 stars are for the publisher.

If you live anywhere near Atlanta, don't buy this. It's way wrong. I read another review on here that said that - but I bought it anyway. Atlanta is a city full of suburbs, and several of them are wrong in this atlas. According to this, I live near the Blue Ridge Mountains (which in reality is a 3 drive from here). In reality, I live a mile outside the perimeter. If you're like me, you just assume since it's Rand McNally, they'll get it right, but in the 2019 version, it's terribly wrong. What a waste of money.

Liked the idea of big book with sturdy rings on pages, disappointed with difficulty following map page to page. Also never paid attention to the fact that it didn’t include Canada, every atlas I’ve owned has included Canada so that caught me off guard, overall didn’t like it
